Tried to get seated here today. Called ahead to ensure they had space 11 people. Was told yes. Arrived and was old they couldn't seat us at 3 tables (4, 4, 3 people) and we had to seat 6 people, 4 people, and person at a table. They literally couldn't do math to seat us in a way that a kid wasn't sitting alone. Asked multiple times for them to explain their policy-- if three groups came in: 4 people 4 people 3 people Would they require 6 sit at one table, 4 at another, and one person solo? Literally made no sense. Clearly missed 1st grade math facts. We left without being seated, because they just could not comprehend seating three separate tables. read more

We've been coming here for a few years now and just love it. I've never had a dish I didn't like. This visit I tried their special which was a chicken breast with a steak and shrimp with a nice cream sauce served with rice and beans. A very delicious meal at a great price!! I also like the carnitas they're spiced very well. Service is also very attentive and spot on. Definitely should give these guys a try. read more

Love this place. Food is always good and drinks are strong. It's become our go to Mexican restaurant.

This restaurant is tucked away in a strip mall on the side of the road in Vonore. The place is colorfully decorated inside -- clearly the owners put a lot of money and time into it. It's clean, neat, and the staff is friendly. A word of note: As of this review, this restaurant does not have its liquor license yet, so all they have is beer. They have applied for the license but it will take time. In the meanwhile, you can bring your own wine, tequila, or whatever and they will do all the rest for you. This is in accordance with local laws, so you won't be doing anything illegal. The food is very fresh, tasty and seasoned just right. Nothing is overspiced, so the flavors of the shredded chicken and other ingredients are well-represented. I tasted fresh green chiles in my quesadilla, and the excellent guacamole is clearly homemade. Portions are generous, especially for the price. My companion and I had an entree each and a fountain drink for under $20, tax included. The only thing I'd like to see different is more pork on the menu. There are only 2 carnitas dishes, and pork is not offered as an option for most of the dishes where you choose the meat. Not sure of the reason for this, but carnitas should feature prominently on any Mexican restaurant's menu. There are both lunch and dinner combo plates available, and lots of appetizer options, so this would be a good place to have a cheap lunch and/or nosh while drinking beer. HORRIBLE!! HORRIBLE!! LAZY! OVERCHARGING! My wife and I have ate here in the past and was ok food with bad service. Last night work friends wanted to eat and have some drinks so we said we'd give them a try again. Service was ridiculous yet again having to run someone down for more drinks and nothing being cleaned off the entire time we was there. Then to top it off we finally get our check and was over charged for things we didn't even get. Only to make it worse my wife and her friend get sick from something and only had 2 drinks! In terms of food, this Mexican restaurant has the yummiest. Everything I've ever ordered from here has been delicious. The chicken quesadillas and tacos are my personal favorite. The only downside is the service isn't always top notch. The servers are super nice, but everything takes forever. Upon being sat, I have sometimes waited 20 minutes just for someone to take my drink order. It could easily be 5 stars if the service was a bit faster. read more

The only reason this review gets more than 1 star is because the food was good. After being seated it took about 10 minutes for anyone to get my drink order. The wait time for the food was long enough to be able to walk around the entire complex and use the bathroom. Why did I have to do that you ask? Because they do not have a public bathroom. I would like to apologize to the chef because the service was awful and makes me not want to go there again. Couldn't get a refill on the chips or drink until 10 minutes after I finished my food. By then I wanted the check and waited for about 5 minutes expecting to have received it but no. Requested the check and then took about another 10 minutes to get it even though the Register was literally placed against the back of our seats. If you got plenty of time to spare, the food is great. But due to poor service you have lost one customer. Maybe someday I shall return but the service better be good. read more

We tried this restaurant while we were out and about. It was good! We will be back. The chicken was superb. I would get it again. The quesadillas were excellent. The chips were warm and crisp. The salsa was tasty and mild. The waiters were attentive and the place was brightly decorated. A great place to gather with friends. The ground beef did not have much flavor. Very poor service! My family came in for dinner and had us seated. The servers did not bother to come to our table to give us anything. No water, chips... It seemed as though the servers would avoid our table on purpose. There would be people who came after us and they were served right away. We brought this up to server and there was still no response. We had to get up and leave. They were incredibly unprofessional! read more

Best Mexican food in the area. Had fish tacos and fajita salad. Tilapia was grilled to perfection and the Pico de Gallo was excellent. Their chips were warm and salsa was fresh and seasoned well. But don't let that stop you from trying out this local treasure. Wonderful lunch! I had grilled chicken salata, which was very good, and my husband had the ground beef chimichanga, also tasty. The highlight of the meal was the guacamole salad, not to be confused with guacamole dip. This salad had at least two avocados, cut into large chunks, perfectly seasoned and balanced with onion, jalapeños, and cilantro. Server was attentive. Okay...I've been here quite a few times. Every experience has been great. However, tonight I went and ordered a grilled chicken fajita quesadilla...it was just sad. Every other thing I've tried here has been great. I'm pretty surprised/disappointed in tonight's experience. Our to go order was incorrect, and my quesadilla was tiny and everything inside was not thoroughly cooked. Shrimp was barely heated and veggies were almost raw. I hate to post this, but it's true: not the best experience by far. I will probably not desire to dine here again. Service was nice, but food was sad. Bad service, below average food. The staff was fighting with each other and there was tension in the air. The onions and peppers in my dinner were not cooked, and I don't like them raw. I never told the waiter because he never checked back on us once we got our food. I took it home, I guess I can cook if for them, but geez. They also were moving tables and chairs, from the table behind us, the waiter hit my chair hard with the chairs he was moving and didn't even apologize. Their salsa and chips were good.
