It was much sweeter than expected, and it did not match the picture when you cut the cake candy didn't flow like it shows . Specifically, the piñata cake was supposed to have candy flowing out when it was cut, as shown in the photos, but that did not happen. What I ordered vs. what I got. Cake supposed to be red and tall. not orange. I went to Cinderella Cakes for a custom cake because I know they do a good job with the details. I was going for a classy minimalist theme at fine dining restaurant for my 30th birthday and this cake ruined it I should've just went to walmart and got their heart cake. Edit: The cake in my photo was definitely picked up from your bakery. I was surprised to see your response saying it was not from your shop. Also, even if I had said something at the time of pickup, it would not have changed the way the cake was decorated since my event was 2 hours after we picked it up. The concern is not just about customer service during pickup but about how different the cake looked from what was expected. The taste was fake. Extremely sweet. You could taste the granules of sugar in the frosting and in the bread. Frosting advertised as buttercream. Not even close. The frosting appeared non diary and cracked not smeared when you touched it. I ate half a slice and could not eat any more and ended up throwing it away. Just to be very disappointed at the end. 1st brother in law is a big Dragon Ball fan and he did not miss a dragon ball was missing (suppose to be 7) 2. Cake was really dry. The fondant layer was extremely thick--around 2 inches--which made it difficult and unpleasant to eat and completely overpowered the cake itself. Once we got past the fondant, the cake was dry and tasted like it wasn't fresh. The filling was supposed to be Nutella, but instead of being smooth, rich, and creamy, it was hard and unappetizing. It didn't resemble Nutella at all and seemed like it had hardened or been improperly stored. For the price paid, I expected a high-quality, fresh, and enjoyable dessert, especially since it was meant to be a centerpiece. I was at another establishment in the same complex as Cinderella Cakes. I felt like something sweet, so I stopped in. The woman who was working was super nice and it was nice inside. I didn't want a cake, so I got the cupcakes. They were so yummy and not too sweet. I didn't buy any cookies but I'm going to have to next time because the woman said a person comes in early every morning to hand make and decorate them. I contacted Cinderella for a special birthday cake for my daughter's 20th. The inspiration was a Mamma Mia theme cake with a quote on top indicating that she turned 20. I uploaded examples on the website, and I was pleased to receive quick communication about the design as well as the lemon cake with fresh strawberry filling. Unfortunately, the cake was disappointing. The decoration of the cake was a bit of a letdown. I enhanced it a bit more some number candles and Mamma Mia cut outs, but I could not fix the flavor. The cake tasted artificial, and there were slices of flavorless strawberry here and there in a filling which couldn't make up for the lack of fruit flavor. Not worth the price I paid, unfortunately. Extremely disappointed in this business. Ordered a cake for my seven-year-old grandson's birthday. I paid my deposit over the phone with Lucero and was supposed to be able to pick it up a week later at 11am. I called the day of pick up at 10:15 to see if it was ready. I was left on hold for 10 minutes. Had to hang up and call back. Angie is the person I was speaking to, she said they could not find my order and that it was never confirmed. If my order wasn't confirmed why in the world would they have taken my payment? Angie told me that she could see if she could get the cake done for me and that I can wait on hold or they could call me back. I told her that I would wait and she told me that I should let her call me back. I said no I wanted to know now because the party was at 1 and it's was a hour away and they didn't even have it baked, decorated or anything! So she hung up on me. I called back again and asked her to refund my money and she told me she couldn't do that, and hung up on me again. For being such a highly rated business, the employee I spoke with was extremely rude and disrespectful. This is definitely not a way you should handle your business. I had to go find a cake at a grocery store to be able to even have any thing for my grandson's birthday party. Heartbreaking for him as it was a special designed soccer cake they were supposed to have made. I immediately disputed the charge with my credit card company. Wanted to edit my post to include a response to Sam's comment. In no way shape or form did they refund my money. You did nothing to help me! We had to go to our credit card company and dispute the transaction and have it refunded. Don't make things worse by saying untrue things! You did not try and make it right until I complained. After the second time I was hung up on And yes, my order was confirmed when I made my down payment. So your comment about not being confirmed is incorrect also! From the moment I walked in, I did not feel welcomed at all. Instead of the warm, inviting "good energy" you expect from a local bakery, the environment felt very hostile and cold.
