I reached out on their form on the website- inquiring about 60 hand pies for my 3.14 pi day wedding and heard back really soon after (maybe a 1-3 business days?). Kourtney was super easy to work with - we never interacted beyond email but putting in our order, sending payment, and receiving them at our wedding venue via delivery were all very seamless things to do. **February & March Visit: Thursday Evening** I wanted to find a handmade pie for my friend's birthday and found "With Love, From Scratch" - this is a home bakery so they don't have pies readily available like a brick and mortar shop; however, I knew that I was going to be in the Anaheim area on Thursday afternoon (the one day where you can do pickups from her home) so I decided to place an order. I want to say I ordered on Wednesday afternoon (the day before). For this order I picked two 5' pies (each $15): one apple and one strawberry rhubarb. The pickup process is contactless and is based in a townhome community. You basically pickup a brown bag on a table in front of her home. The next day I brought the pies to my friend's home and we heated up the pies in the oven for a little bit and boy was it delicious. We added a scoop of vanilla ice cream and it was heavenly. The crust was buttery and flaky and the fillings was everything you'd want in a dessert. The three of us shared two pies, which was honestly probably the perfect portion and we got to try two different flavors. It was a big hit and my friends and I knew that we wanted to order again to celebrate pi day later in March. For my second order (3/13) I picked three 5' pies (also $15 a pie) - dutch apple (our group favorite), key lime with oreo crust, and mixed berry. I think because it was for 3/14 day and there were a lot more orders than usual she did a setup in her garage. Regardless, all the pies were delicious and I would 100% order from her again. She does do Farmer Market appearances and sell both fresh and frozen pies in a couple of shops, but I'm just bummed that they're not available all the time in Anaheim. And since they're all seasonal, there's always new ones to try. This last weekend I tried her Chai Spiced Apple pie and her strawberry rhubarb. Both were sensational, as always. Loved the chai spices! Some other personal favorites of mine are her chocolate chess pie and her mixed berry pie. Every pie is balanced in flavor and texture--not too sweet, just perfect every single time. There's just something so incredible about the way Kourtney bakes her crusts--they're so utterly flaky and her decorations are so adorable! My favorite crust is her lattices because I get so much more of that tender flakiness. Delicious. And on top of all of that, her packaging is so stinkin' cute! Brown little boxes and a sticker on the side indicating which pie you've gotten including an ingredient list--each packaged so perfectly that it's like they were designed for the 'Gram. Also full disclosure: one time, my car broke down in front of her house when I went to pick up some of her pies, and she and her husband went out of their way to help me. They didn't have to, but they did, and I will FOREVER appreciate that. I picked up some goodies from Kourtney, the owner and baker of With Love, From Scratch at the Ladera Ranch Farmers' Market. The items I tried were all so good! Props to Kourtney's husband who explained all of their offerings and giving me recommendations. They have new flavors each week so it's always a surprise on what you'll find. I loved the tart and slightly sweet Blueberry pie! There is lemon in the pie filling and it brightens up the whole pie and goes really well with vanilla ice cream. I loved the pie crust - it is buttery and fragrant. I also liked the Raspberry Handpie, the filling is made in-house and it is delicious! The raspberry filling is not overly sweet and tastes fresh with chewy raspberry seeds. I purchased the Salted Caramel Apple Pie, but did not try it because it was a gift for a friend. It looks really good on the outside though so I'll probably give that a try next time. I prefer pies that are slightly tart so I'll definitely be looking out for other berry options in the future. I ordered a apple and blueberry crumble pie for Thanksgiving and it was delicious! The whole family thought they were great. The crust was buttery and amazing and they were packed with lots of fruit (each pie was dense) ! I'm normally an apple pie fan, but I actually loved the blueberry even more. We ate the pie over a course of a week and they still tasted great on day 7. I ordered last minute, but they helped squeeze in my order anyways - so that was helpful for me since I knew I wouldn't have time to make pie.
