Overall I am happy with the cake I ordered for my baby shower. It was perfect for what I needed--big enough to feed 60 people with a simple design that would allow me to showcase the special cake toppers I wanted to use. I thought the lemon-flavored cake was delicious and perfectly moist; and even my picky aunt said she liked it. One minor thing I did not like about the cake was that I was told it would be ombre. As you can see from the photo, this cake was not ombre; it was three different, solid colors, without the gradient of different shades. My mother and I were planning a baby shower for my brother's baby shower, and he chose a venue in Stanton, which is not an area any of us live in. Initially, our plan was to purchase a cake local to one of us that we would pick up and bring with us to the banquet hall, but after giving it more thought, I decided to choose a bakery local to the area where we could get the cake, and if possible, have it delivered, to take a bit of stress off of us and our set up... .Soooo, I turned to my old faithful referral source Yelp.... And through Yelp, I found Lincoln Bakery; the reviews were good, and the photos looked amazing, so I went out on a limb and called them up. I asked if they do local deliveries ( They DO), and I proceeded to explain what I was looking for. They asked me to text some pictures so they can give me a quote. The price was well within reason, so I placed an order for a lemon cake with raspberry cream cheese filling and whipped cream icing, and sent over my deposit. A few days prior to the shower, they called me and confirmed all the details, and I sent final payment, and on the day of the shower, they delivered my cake with care. The cake was beautiful, just as the inspiration picture I sent, and OH BOY was is delicious! It was definitely a big hit, with one of our out of town guests claiming it was the best cake he ever had. The cake itself was both slightly dense but also light ( if that makes sense) and perfectly moist. There was just enough lemon taste without being overwhelming, and the raspberry cream cheese filling was the perfect compliment, not at all overly sweet, it was JUST RIGHT. This bakery is AMAZING! I feel so lucky to have found this little Gem! We don't live in the area, but came in for my daughter's birthday. I called in the norning, sent a picture of what she wanted and the cake was ready when we arrived in the evening, exactly like she wanted!! The customer service, the Cake decoration and the FLAVOR!! Amazing service he even let us try one of his sweet breads and a banana muffin. both scrumptious they also only charged me for a cake that was strawberry filled and fresh strawberries $35 which is amazing. My first time ordering at this bakery, found them via Instagram. The owner and his daughter are very friendly. We called for prices and were able to try the cake and fillings. We decided to order a two tier cake and a smash cake. The decoration was nice to my satisfaction, however the actual taste and texture of the cake was extremely disappointing. When I started cutting the cake the cake crumbled, and i couldn't cut a straight piece. The cake was also very dry, not moist at all. My cake order was also incorrect, I requested fresh fruit filling and it was not included. Also the smash cake was the wrong flavor. Most of my guests ended up throwing away the cake pieces. I paid $250 for both cakes and ended up throwing it all to the trash. So disappointed, I was really hoping for a good cake. read more

Well to say this review is overdue is an understatement: my family has been coming to Lincoln bakery since we were literally a year old. They've made all our birthday party cakes, Quinceañera cakes, and now made my wedding cake! When I went to "el Paisano" (as my family lovingly calls him), I gave a request to recreate an "old school" tiered wedding cake, with the fountain and all, in order to bring in an element from both of our parents' cakes from back in the 90s. Well, he delivered more than our wildest dreams! This cake was so elegant and classy, while still having that pop of "90's" feel. Everyone loves how elegant it looked & felt. It tasted DELICIOUS! Tres leches on some tiers, with marbles cake on others. He didn't disappoint, and the cake was actually one of the biggest highlights of the day. Update Nov 2022 So I've used this bakery multiple times since my first review for customized cakes for different occasions. They've been great. But... this last cake was just unacceptable. I understand that they were busy and prices have gone up. I don't mind paying for the service as long as it reflects the quality of the product. I ordered a cake for our baby shower, a very important event for us, and expected something decent for a cake that's over $200. The cake was so bad that people were making jokes about it. It was embarrassing and we ended up just cutting it and passed it out so no one can look at it. The cake was crooked, leaning to one side, the letters weren't straight, one letter overlapping a cloud, and just wasn't presentable. The cake topper was ours, so you can see the cake wasn't something very complex. It was obviously rushed and they don't care about quality anymore. Save your money and go else where. read more

We went in person first to check out the place and to get more feel of the business, the location was a little hidden on the corner just next to Subway. The service I will say though is what gives it more of a higher rating. Tony, whom I believe is the owner, was very helpful to answer all of our questions and he was very nice. We needed our cake on a monday which is not a business day for them but he arranged a time for us to pick it up as courtesy. Picking up the cake was easy and they were on time. My first impression of the cake was that it looked alright, I mean the style I picked was fairly simple & they achieved to make it look similar to the photo I showed them, maybe the red color could've been more vibrant, but overall I was pleased with how it turned out. Where I was let down was when I tasted the cake. We ordered white cake filled with vanilla and fresh strawberries. The cake's texture was sadly dry, more strawberries in the cake would've been appreciated. The filling tasted good though, I do give them that. The cake costed $65. For a customized cake I'd say it was a fair price, but as far as substance it didn't quite impress me. It was worth the try, but we'll probably not order again.
