I managed to dislodge my damper in our fireplace and for the life of me I couldn't figure out how to get it back in properly. I contacted four different chimney sweeps and Cinderfella was not only the most communicative but far and away the most reasonable in terms of price. We just had Rich clean and recap our chimney. Can't say enough good about him. Doesn't try to upsell on new liners or other junk you don't need. Just does the work for a very reasonable price and does it very well. Will definitely be calling him next time we need our chimney cleaned. Rich was awesome. He showed up right on time, called a day earlier to confirm the appointment. He wore his top hat which was awesome and was friendly throughout the whole process. He was efficient and helped us navigate our issue which was smoke coming back into our unit when another unit was having a fire. Rich was very respectful. Last year I used a different company who was very disrespectful and tried to rob me with their "findings." Rich is the real deal. He was on time with his top hat (which made me laugh) and did the job in a timely manner. He noticed the work a friend did for us in our fireplace last year and he noticed my new roof (flashing system). To me, it showed that he is very aware of what he is looking at. Rich, his daughter- Dana and granddaughter were all out to inspect, clean and educate me on our fireplaces. We just moved into a home with fireplaces so before we started any fires we wanted to know what we were dealing with. Everyone was super knowledgeable and professional. Rich knew exactly how our fireplaces were built and installed and explained it so well, I feel now as though I can be even more confident in starting fires in our house, as well as putting them out. They gave me the right amount of info for my novice level of fireplaces and offered great suggestions for increasing safety and usage during the winter. I can't say enough about the quality of work they performed. Came in, did a great job and left the area spotless. They did a full inspection, cleaning and were very competitively priced with everyone in the area. They also didn't try to up-sell me products that aren't necessary. I was worried about that due to hearing horror stories about other companies. My chimney didn't have a cap and I was given a recommendation that saved me $150 rather than charging me an arm and a leg to have them install it.
