My friends and I decided to have a Girl's Night Out at Cinema Cafe and we had the best time. We went on a Tuesday evening and tickets were only $10, you definitely can't beat that price. Once we arrived, we retrieved our tickets for 'You, Me & Tuscany' from the ticket kiosk, which was simple and easy. This location has a seating area and a bar for those that want to enjoy a beverage before a movie. The theater was spacious and we loved the reclining chairs. Our server was super friendly but seemed to either be new or just having a long day. We asked her several questions and she misquoted a few food prices and wasn't sure of many items on the menu. The food was actually pretty good though! I ordered the Kevin Bacon Burger with Cheese Fries and a Blood Orange Margarita and I was impressed with everything! Overall, we had a great time and I'm sure we'll be returning once we find another movie we want to see. I believe the tix are $10 during the weekday, you definitely can't beat that! read more

Cinema cafe has become my go to spot for reasonably priced movies, comfortable seating, and a good time. The employees are nice, attentive, and helpful. This last visit changed my mind a little. The volume of the movie was down to low, and when asked to turn it up because we could hear the movie playing next door over our movie, we were told it was preset unfortunately. My friend and I decided to try something new off the menu. She got the supreme pizza which tasted like chef boyardon't, chef boyardee would have been better than this pizza. The crust was hard with a low quality taste. I got the deluxe nachos, which there was nothing deluxe about. The chips were stale, it was supposed to have chili which I saw like 4 beans and really couldn't find the meat. There was a bunch of lettuce and onions, and a splash of cheese. The chip to cheese ratio was off!! The waiter did give me an extra tiny cup of cheese, which didn't help much. But at least he tried. I'll stick to my usual cheeseburger in the future. That's normally good. The food was a flop this time!! They left the lights on during the whole movie which made it weird. The usually turn the lights off. Not to mention Scary Movie 6 sucks. That's not their fault, I'm just warning you, it's not worth your time!! They did play good music in the lobby and the theater was clean. Picking up our tickets we ordered online was easy, and I like that you can reserve seats of your choice ahead of time. I hope next time the experience is better. read more

Wanted to try a new movie theater and I was impressed ...the foyer was clean,movie themed, and welcoming. We purchased our tickets at the kiosk, showed our tickets and settled into our big comfortable seats. I would advise you to purchase your tickets online if you want the beat seats. We attended the weekend matinee for less than $20 and our server was kind, attentive, and efficient. Our order arrived just in time for the movie to begin. I had the nachos and water and it was pleasant to have a meal over just popcorn and soda which is the usual movie fair. This is my go to movie theater in VB. The price on weds alone can not be beat! We get the same fried goodies every visit and sit back to really relax for a bit. I get cozy with my blanket and cuddle up with my hubby and the atmosphere is so chill. Even if you get a crying kid or a loud laugh that adds charm to the visit for me. Not to mention when you get a funny commentary from someone in the back. Like...."girl don't go there.....and yep she sure did.." Its a different type of people watching almost. This is an addendum to my precious reviews. Service by staff is wonderful. My only complaint is the chips and dip order. I ordered one with chili con queso. The Cinema Cafe is a fun for the whole family movie and restaurant that is fun for little children like toddlers as well as adults. This is such a fun place to go to when you want to have some food, beverages, and watch a great movie! There is a bar that serves all sorts of adult drinks and a full menu with great food right in the lobby area if you just want to stop by and not even watch a movie. We opt to always come for a new movie that is out and have dinner and drinks while watching it. The burgers and fries are always a to go for us. I never take a picture of the food cause we're eating it inside the theater while the movie is playing and want to be considerate! The Cinema Cafe is clean and the seats are always enjoyable and I always dress warmly cause it tends to be chilly in there and recline my seat up for extra comfort. You have to pre choose your seat when you pay for the movie ticket so there is no walking in and choosing an empty spot. We were watching the 8:25 PM viewing for Scream 7 in theater six. We (my fiance and I) ordered two large popcorns and two large sodas. We both only ate a quarter of our popcorn because there was such a ridiculous amount of salt it made me physically ill. All I could do was chug my soda because it was such a powerful salt taste. Great movie viewing experience We dropped by Cinema Cafe to, believe it or not, see a movie. I'll say that we had a wonderful experience from start to finish. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that movie tickets are half off for Wacky Wednesday so two tickets were like 10 bucks! What a deal! The theater was pretty clean - none of the stereotypical sticky floors littered with popcorn. Also, the chairs are pretty large with plenty of leg room. The food was above average, compared to other cafe-type movie theaters. We went with a meat lovers (I forgot the cutesy movie name of the pizza) and chicken tenders, which we enjoyed. I thought the food prices were very reasonable especially for a movie theater. Since we arrived a bit early for our movie, we grabbed a couple of drinks at the bar. Our bartender, whose name has slipped my mind, was awesome. Also, our waitress, Bella, was great. My only (minor) issues were the movie screen was a bit small and the sound system wasn't amazing compared to other theaters that I have visited. Like I said, these "issues" are pretty minor in the grand scheme of things. Overall, I had an excellent experience and hope to make this our go-to theater. read more

This is a smaller older cinema cafe with decent leather seats and smaller sized screening rooms. Will drive here for that more obscure movie and I typically enjoy having food served to me while I watch my show. Staff is friendly and efficient. Never been disappointed here. My first movie at Cinema Cafe. It was clean, the seats were very comfortable and the temperature in the theater was perfect. We order some appetizers and I would say the food was average. I would recommend if you're ordering food to bring your own napkins, paper plates and utensils as we did not receive any of those. Our food was delivered and we never saw our server again. I understand they don't want to interrupt the viewing experience, but at least check once the food is delivered that we have everything that we need. read more

Wow, my family had not been in this cinema cafe since their remodel. Have to say I am very impressed. Gone are the old office chairs and they have been replaced with comfortable recliners that have USB ports and power recline with footrest. The screen looked updated so you can see it even in lighted situations. The sound system also sounds better. The food was good but not what it should be for the prices they are charging. I got the Philly cheesesteak which comes with fries but we ordered an additional basket of fries as my wife really liked their crinkle cut fries. Cinema Cafe will probably be the only movie theater I go to from now on and below are the reasons why 1) It's less than a 5 min drive from where I live in VB 2) Movie tickets costs less than $8 3) Updated leather/reclining seats 4) Affordable food options Came recently to watch Wakanda Forever and bought tickets a few days in advanced. Expect showings to sell out quickly especially since there are limited seats in each theater. The small table attached to each chair is a bit small, especially if you're ordering multiple items so be cautious of that. The chips and queso here are DELICIOUS and give you plenty of cheese and the corn dog nuggets are tasty too. Our server was friendly and attentive. Ok so they've changed and updated this place. During the pandemic they updated their seating, since this upgrade, it has gotten so much better than how it used to be! (Although we live closer to the AMC theater, we would rather not deal with the out of control teenagers.) They now have leather reclining seats. Cinema Cafe is the only movie theater I go to. My sister, Aurora, now works here as a food runner, which is all the more reason to go for me. The food is always delicious, although a little expensive as expected for a cinema. Service is always quick and attentive, and the seating is comfy. There are buttons to call your server and there's a charging station for your phone. The Kemps River location semi-recently added recliners to their theaters, so you can lean back and enjoy the movie. The pizzas are really popular here, but I always go for the Megaplex platter. There is something for everyone and plenty of it to go around - you get chicken tenders, mini corn dogs, mozzarella sticks, pretzel bites, chips and cheese, boneless wings, and onion rings for $26! Not bad at all. I have not taken pictures of my food as it is quite dim in the theater and I didn't want to draw attention to myself and use flash. I am so happy to live where I do where Cinema Cafe is my local theater. I have been coming here since I was little and have always loved it to this day. What can I say, it's a Cinema Cafe? Kemps River location is pretty decent about their cleanliness and their food. I mean I got the Multiplex sampler with my girlfriend and I was pretty satisfied with it- not to oily, cwispy enough to enjoy, along with not annoying the others with our crunches. Website is pretty wonky though- if you didn't want to get your tickets for a movie and cancelled, and then revisit it again, it will say that the seats are not available anymore. read more

Definitely a completely different looking building with the remodel!! We came to see Ron gone wrong at 10am for five people the tickets were 20! Cinema cafe is a cool local business; they stayed open through covid the best they could, even just offering to-go food. I really enjoy their food! I visit here often for movies and dinner. They have good locations, the Kemps River one is right by my house. They have nice, reclining chairs that you reserve when you buy your ticket. Each has a little revolving tray for your food and a cup holder. I personally think the trays could be a little bigger and the seats a little wider. Staff is often quite nice, especially wait staff. The ticket checkers can be slow and I don't like the waiting set up at the KR location. The system of waiting for more than 1 movie all in 1 line can be frustrating. It's easy to buy tickets on their website. There's a reasonable transaction fee that's like $1 or something. It's not ideal for big groups (more than 6 people) in my opinion, as it's difficult to sit together. I'm fond of the chicken tenders. They're big, fat ones and I can only eat 2 and the fries. The soft pretzel appetizer is nice too. I've had their pizza, back when I could eat cheese, and it was good. Their salads are nice and fresh too. I love the full bar, so much better at the movies than just beer/wine. PS: can you bring back the broccoli bites?! I'll take a lactose pill for those!! read more

I had about 2 tablespoons of cheese and chicken spreaded over the very top of the chips and then I was just left with a bunch of chips and few onions and tomatoes in the bottom. They don't have salsa either so if they are going to just give you a bunch of chips need they should consider providing a little salsa to go with it! This is one of our favorite places to watch a movie and grab a bite to eat at the same time. Located in VB in a good location, it can get busy and the parking lot is usually full. When walking in, the ticket counter is on the right but I noticed they have self-ticketing counters that I'm sure they use during busy times. We came on a Sunday night so the tickets weren't that good of a deal ($18 for 2) as it is for some of their other nights. Inside there is a bar and seating area that is kind of small, but acceptable for a whole theater. The theater itself is nice, but if it is a good movie, make sure to come early. The seating can get a little tight and the computer desk chairs easily fall back. To order, you simply press a button for a red light to come on and get served. The pizza here is soooo cheesy and delicious, definitely on my list of favs. Everything is decently priced, to include drinks (I usually get a strawberry daiquiri for about $7). Crinkle cut fries that are crisp is another yes in my book. At times, the waiters can be very loud in the kitchen, which I experienced as walking through to my theater. Hopefully the theaters next to the kitchen weren't able to hear all of that commotion. Bathrooms are clean and have movie posters as decorations. My only recommendation is think about the movie you are planning to see before coming here. We saw A Quiet Place here awhile back...poor decision with all the crunching and chair swiveling LOL. read more

Last week I popped in for lunch and a movie and decided to keep things light with one of their newer menu items: grilled cheese and tomato soup. I've ordered this at more than one location to check the consistency of the portion size. The grilled cheese is always perfectly crunchy and buttery. We had a great experience here, we went to the very first showing of the day to avoid crowds. It was my first time at this location. This location offered more show times than other cinema cafe in the area, parking was good. The food here is basic, but I think it is reasonably priced. It is nice to be able to eat while watching a movie or have a drink. The seats are leather reclining seats and they are very comfortable. The price of the tickets are very reasonable. I do not go to the movies often, but when I do Cinema Cafe is were I go. This was my first time at this particular location and I think it is my new favorite based off of today's experience. read more
