We had a Friday date night at Cinemark 19 and XD in Katy. We went to see the new movie, By Any Means. The movie was really good and I do recommend it. We also had Chipotle Garlic Fries, Popcorn and Chocolate Covered Almonds. The Smack Sauce that comes with the fries was a miss for me but my husband liked it. Per usual, the food and snacks are overpriced in comparison to the quality but we enjoyed our date and what made it better is using a gift card that I forgot I had.

My wife and I always enjoy bringing the kids to Cinemark--it's one of our go-to spots for a family movie outing. They consistently offer plenty of matinee showtimes, which makes it easy to plan around the kids' schedules. The staff is always kind and welcoming, and one thing we really appreciate is how clean the theaters are after every showing AND how clean restrooms always are and well maintained. It definitely makes the experience more comfortable. Service at the concession stand is quick, with a wide variety of options to choose from. If you're in a hurry, mobile ordering is also a great option and just as efficient. Another big plus is the location. It's conveniently near Asiatown and right off Interstate 10, with plenty of restaurants nearby. It's perfect if you want to plan something before or after the movie. Overall, it's a great theater for families and a reliable spot for a fun, easy outing.

Decided to catch the new Demon Slay movie with my sister on a Tuesday and the auditorium was not that filled surprisingly. Even though it wasn't packed, I had to switch for another showing time because the auditorium that I was in had a cricket and it was very distracting. Luckily, the staff was able to switch us over to the IMAX auditorium with no extra cost.

One of my favorite theaters! No frills: just clean, comfy seating and a variety of feature film...all day, everyday.

Hello, this is Ashley B. Let's get started with the review. I went to see Beetlejuice at Cinemark 19 and XD and I enjoyed the movie. I used the app with my reward points to get points for ordering the movie and buying snacks. I can't wait to accumulate more points. I like this theater because it is close to home and I don't really get caught in too much traffic when I go to this one. I may go back today to see another movie.

This has become our go-to theater. Always pretty clean inside and they have a great choice in movies. We chose the Dbox seats today for the first time. They were a super fun, more immersive option. The seats vibrate and move along with the movie. Great for action!!!

    Enjoying the large reclining chairs!

I always enjoy coming to this theater. Friendly service, reclining seats, great picture, perfect volume, bar with wine, and air conditioning that has never gone out when I have been there. Oh, and it has always been clean.... including the restrooms! Always a great time!!!

The chairs are so comfortable that I had to remind myself I was there to watch a movie and not take the best nap of my week. From the moment we walked in, the theater felt a step above the typical movie experience. The décor was classy and modern without feeling over the top. It had more of an upscale lounge vibe than a movie theater, making it feel like a night out rather than just a quick trip to catch a film. The reclining seats were spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room to stretch out. Once settled in, all it took was a push of a button to order food and drinks. There was no missing key scenes while standing in line for popcorn or sprinting to the concession stand during previews. Having everything brought directly to your seat felt a little dangerous because it makes it far too easy to keep ordering snacks. One thing that often gets overlooked in reviews is the cleanliness, and this place absolutely deserves credit. The bathrooms were spotless, well-stocked, and clearly maintained throughout the day. The lobby, hallways, and theaters themselves were equally clean and well-kept. It's amazing how much a clean facility adds to the overall experience. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care that guests were having a good time. Service was prompt without being intrusive, and everything felt organized and professional. Honestly, this theater has ruined regular movie theaters for me. Going back to cramped seats, sticky floors, and fighting concession lines now sounds like a terrible life choice. If you're looking for a theater that combines comfort, great service, a classy atmosphere, and a genuinely enjoyable movie-going experience, this is the place. Just don't blame me if you find yourself checking the showtimes for movies you weren't even interested in seeing simply because you want an excuse to come back.

Came with a blanket though we did not use it. Also comes with a free bucket of popcorn for each ticket. The premium seats also have a nice small barrier wall so that way you can't see anyone from your left or right depending on the seat - these seats always come in pairs, so it's like good for dates or night outs for couples. There is a side button to turn on light but the light is pretty small and not worth using. The reclining was decent and there are plenty of cup holders for multiple drinks. Ordering was pretty simple, there is a QR code on the hand rest table which we could take a look at the menu (which you can also look from the site). Once you are ready to order, you can press on the call button. The food variety is decent, when you press call button, a person will come to take your order and payment. Food pricing can be a bit expensive depending on what you are getting. The pretzels were pretty good, you get two pieces with three types of dips. The club sandwich is pretty good. Water is a bit expensive, would recommend bringing your own bottled water if you want regular water. Overall movie experience was good, smaller size theater room but it was pretty good with lighting and sound. We watched Super Mario Galaxy and will come back in the future for more movies for sure.

Our movie was in room #11 and the seats were great. They were spacious and comfortable, with easy reclining options. The seating arrangement was perfect, ensuring that no one could obstruct our view. However, the speakers were uncomfortably loud during all the trailers. The sound was blaring and when I brought this to the attention of a staff member, he informed me that there had been numerous complaints about the loudness. He assured me that the sound would improve once the actual movie began. He was correct; it did get better once the movie started. Just be aware that if you're in that room, the sound will improve once the movie starts. The theater is located inside a mall, which isn't a problem. However, the only way to enter is through the mall entrance and if you watch a late movie like I did last night, you must exit through their back doors. Unfortunately, the backdoor exit area lacks visibility and made me felt a bit unsafe. Also, I'm not sure if it was because of Christmas day and they didn't have enough staff but the restrooms were in terrible condition, with soiled floors, overflowing trash bins, and a lack of toilet paper in the stalls. The drinks and condiments area was also very messy and sticky.

Customer Feedback - Damage Control, Accountability & New Leadership (Emotionally Expressive…read moreEdition) I have always loved IPIC. For years, it has been my go‑to place when I want to escape into a movie wrapped in comfort, luxury, and atmosphere. There is something special about arriving there -- from the moment you park your car, you feel like you're stepping into an experience rather than simply attending a show. It's a place that usually understands how to make guests feel cared for. But this visit felt different, and not in the way I expected. As soon as we entered the building, I noticed changes -- subtle shifts in the aesthetics downstairs, a feeling that the signature IPIC polish had dimmed just a little. When we reached the upper level, the ticket staff greeted us politely, but no one explained the new process for blankets and pillows. What used to be a seamless part of the luxury experience was now unclear and uncommunicated. It may seem small, but those details matter. They set the tone. Inside the theater, the service delays were noticeable. We waited far longer than usual, and when our food arrived, it came without plates, napkins, or any of the thoughtful touches that define IPIC's standard. Two pans were placed in front of us -- presumably to be used as trays -- but it felt improvised, not intentional. When we needed containers for our leftovers, we had to leave the theater entirely and walk to the bar. In a luxury environment, guests should never have to chase down basic accommodations. At that point, I knew something was off. I asked to speak with a manager, hoping for clarity or at least acknowledgment. The first gentleman who approached us was condescending, dismissive, and lacked empathy. His tone alone made the situation feel worse. I was genuinely taken aback -- not because mistakes happened, but because the response lacked the respect and professionalism IPIC is known for. So I asked for another manager. And that's when everything changed. The second manager approached with calm, experience, and sincerity. He listened -- truly listened -- without defensiveness or excuses. He explained the recent change in ownership, acknowledged that the ball had been dropped, and validated every concern I raised. His apology felt genuine. His demeanor felt grounded. His willingness to take accountability felt like leadership. He didn't try to minimize the experience. He didn't try to shift blame. He didn't try to rush the conversation. Instead, he focused on resolution, clarity, and restoring trust. He addressed every issue, ensured we were taken care of, and graciously offered passes for a future visit. I didn't want money back -- I wanted acknowledgment, accountability, and assurance that someone would take ownership of the problem. He provided exactly that. And because of him, I left feeling hopeful. Final Impression IPIC has always been a place that blends luxury with comfort, and while this visit revealed areas that need immediate attention, it also revealed something far more important: the power of leadership that listens, cares, and takes responsibility. The second manager reminded me why I fell in love with IPIC in the first place -- not just because of the reclining seats or the gourmet food, but because of the way the brand has historically made guests feel valued. I am genuinely looking forward to the new changes and hopeful that IPIC will return to the exceptional standard that made it a beloved destination. Mistakes happen -- but accountability, empathy, and corrective action are what rebuild trust. And on that front, IPIC delivered.

The welcoming team was friendly from the moment we walked in, and the bartender was wonderful. Even though they were out of every wine I asked for (seven different selections!), she really tried her best to find something I'd enjoy. The only wines available were bottles at a much higher price point, which was disappointing. I'm still wondering what happened to their wine selection. Hubby did enjoy a nice cold beer served in a frosty glass, and that was perfect. Dinner was actually pretty good. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the lobster mac and cheese was tasty, although there wasn't much lobster to be found. Now for the theater itself... The seats are definitely showing their age and are getting a little rickety. Service was almost nonexistent. The one bright spot was a food runner who kindly pointed us to the QR code for the menu and even offered to bring us a printed menu. He was great. We ordered our movie snacks, but that's where things really went downhill. The popcorn was as stale as stale can be, the M&M's tasted old and a little funky, and somehow my club soda came with about four ice cubes and wasn't even very refreshing. The movie itself was good, and we still enjoyed having a much-needed date night together. Overall, though, it's sad to see this theater slipping because it used to be the place to go. I really hope they can turn things around. In the meantime, we'll be on the hunt for a new favorite theater. I'd love to hear everyone's recommendations!

The sound system is also below average compared to other theaters. Overall, the theater feels neglected and, at times, somewhat filthy, which takes away from what should be a relaxing and enjoyable movie-going experience. What makes this more disappointing is that ticket prices and concession prices are comparable to better-maintained theaters in the area, yet the quality of the experience is noticeably lower. We have been there before and this place is Absolutely Beautiful and the Food is Delicious. We rented out 'The Audrey', which is a Private Dinning area and Private Theater with those comfortable seats you can lay back in and enjoy the movie. But first, a little about 'Star Cinema Grill'. When you first walk into this place you are amazed at how Beautiful it is. The approach to the Ticket Area is Very Impressive. They even have Mask for those that forgot theirs - and their Entire Staff wears a Mask. Next is the Bar/Dinning area that is AwesomlyBeautiful. At first look you think you're on a Cruise and aboard a Very Beautiful Ship. Everything about this place is Elegant - even the walkways to each Theater - and the Restrooms - Yep, even them. My Wife said that she has a dress just like the carpet here - sure glad she didn't wear it last night, I might not find her. Now, back to the review - The Audrey Dining area was set up with separate tables for each couple social distanced apart. The Manager, Colleen, met with us and we went over the evening. Everyone arrived on time and MJ, our Private Server, took our drink orders and returned pretty quick with our drinks. I'm having their 'Frozen Jack-N-Coke' and my Wife is getting their 'Texas Mule'. F.J&C is my Favorite Drink and when it arrived I was totally impressed as to the appearance of this drink - it was Fluffed Up above the rim of the glass. This was a Pretty Good Drink and the taste of Jack - and it's Fluffed Up. My Wife enjoyed her 'Texas Mule' and had a couple of these during the evening. MJ, our Server, took all our orders and placed them electronically. Their Menu consist of 'Previews' as Appetizers, 'Feature Presentations' as Entrees (along with Pizza and 'Green Screen' for Salads) and 'Closing Credits' as Desserts. They also have listed 'Kids Corner' for the Kiddies. The other side of the Menu list all the Drinks they offer - and there is a lot of them with Very Cool Names, along with 'Classic Candy' and 'Quick Flicks' (Popcorn, etc..). They also have a lot of Draft Beers on Tap - that's always good to know. My Wife ordered their 'Love Me Tenders'; Hand-Breaded Chicken Tenderloins with Seasoned Fries, Texas Toast & Country Gravy. I am having 'The Godfather' (Pizza); Sausage, Pepperoni, Peppers, Onions, Mushrooms, Black Olives, Tomatoes and Cheese. Note: They make their own Crust here and you can also have their Cauliflower Crust. While we waited for our food we chatted and enjoyed our drinks - and I really enjoyed my Fluffy-Frozen Jack-N-Coke. This was some Good Stuff. Soon, and I mean Real Soon, MJ started bringing out our food. My Wife's 'Love Me Tenders' look really good and their 'Presentation' is Beautiful. My 'Godfather' also looks Very Yummy and it was. Nice Fresh Flavor of Everything and the Crust is Lightly-Crunchy-Liciousness. Everyone enjoyed their food and ate all they could but due to the abundance of food on each plate and there were plenty of To-Go-Boxes prepared. You get a lot of Deliciousness at Star Cinema - but I ate all of mine because that's what I do. 'Star Cinema' provides you with a list of Movies to choose from for your Private Showing and we choose 'The Personal History of David Copperfield' based on the 1850 Novel 'David Copperfield' by Charles Dickens, which is Very Interestingly Done Different-ly Movie you will ever see - or something like that. You also can bring in any Movie you want on DVD (except a Disney Film) and it will be shown on the Big Screen for your Private Groups Enjoyment. When Dinner was done, we took our seats in the Theater section of 'The Audrey' which has those Plush Seats and more. They also offer Blankets for you to wrap up in if that's what you want - and a lot of our Group did just that. This place really goes all out for Customer Service. My Wife and I grabbed some seats and opened up our Popcorn Boxes that they provided for Everyone - and started enjoying the Coming Attractions and the Popcorn. This Popcorn is pretty good. I'm not a Popcorn Eater per-say but - I finished off my entire box half way through the movie - It's That Good. We enjoyed the Movie and it's Delightful Weirdness. Our Server stayed with us the entire time providing the Best Service you could get anywhere - and this is at a Theater. The 'Star Cinema Grill' offers the Best Service along with Delicious Food in a Very Elegant Setting. They also have $5 Tuesdays for Movies and offer Special Drinks on various days for only $5 - such as the 'Texas Mule' on Thursdays along with 'Craftmans Boch' - a Very Dark Beer that some of our Group enjoyed - and did I tell you I enjoyed my 'Fluffy-Frozen Jack-N-Coke? - well, I did. Check out the 'Star Cinema Grill' on Facebook and on-line - They are Awesome - They also can Delivery your Food Order via Grubhub directly to your home or office.
