They have a really cool train zooming above you when you get inside so keep an eye out for that and signs everywhere and delicious pastries everywhere the food looks beautiful. The people working there are happy and helpful. I was able to get two chocolate cake, donuts, and two cinnamon sugar donuts for my holiday breakfast. Everybody else is picking up orders and then adding onto those orders once they got there. But they have plenty of tasty treats. Someone even got a slice of turtle pie and then end up buying the whole darn turtle pie.

The Food Lion has discontinued this delicious bread so I had to order a twelve loaf case from the store in Strasburg, VA. When I opened the box, there were labels for the loaves, which the grocery stores don't use! Why not! It makes me love the bread even more! All natural, no preservatives, but best of all it is DELICIOUS! We learned last year that buying it unsliced and slicing a big, thick slab of it, then toasting it before slathering it up with some great Amish butter we buy is breakfast heaven. Slicing it thinner and making a grilled cheese with a good sharp cheddar cheese, like Cabot's, is lunchtime awesomeness! Food Lion just calls it Multi Grain bread, which is too bad since the manufacturer's label will make you like it more. Ask for it at your local grocery store. This is some great bread! We now have about 14 loaves in the freezer in case it becomes unavailable here. Panic attack averted!

One of the Sourdoughs was made by Maple Leaf Bakery in Des Plains, IL under the Goldminer California Sourdough label claiming to have 0g Trans Fat & Cholesterol. 24oz Round Boule, $2.79 retail, about $1.50 less than competing brands. Introductory Sale only lasted for about a week before price rose to $3.79. The taste test.... Sourness **** - Very, very good flavor for a Sourdough Bread. Great tasting! Texture ** - Color of the bread was darker than most, but was easier to cut than some other Sourdoughs which I've tried. BUT, for some reason, this bread crumbles when cut... in fact, quite a bit of crumbling. Enough crumbling, possibly, to create another slice if you assembled all the crumbs together. Tastes Good, but you're going to ask yourself... "What's all this stuff on my plate?"... afterwards.. FYI: Triple the amount of Sodium than competing brands (15% daily) and over double the amount of Carbohydrates (13% daily). Maybe that's the reason why the Taste test was above average....

As we walked in this place had a young boy and you girl working working the counter. Needless to say both were extremely inexperienced. Especially during the Christmas season and if they weren't they sure acted as if they were. I proceeded to order the remaining pies and when I asked if they could simply box 3 of the 10 pies up in a white box, the boy needed to seek "permission". When he came out he offered to charge extra. I replied "no problem, let's get them going". While he was in the middle of boxing them up another woman came in and ordered one of the pies. Rather than explain this to the young girl he stood there almost scared to say anything. We decided to watch this happen rather the interject since it was Christmas week. We honestly expected the staff member or boy to speak up and let the young girl know we had already ordered them. Well, he did not. And he then proceeded to tell us we were 2 pies short after waiting for 20 min with 4 customers within that time. We decided to just refuse the pies and thank him for the hospitality and left. Very disappointing and very disorganized. I absolutely recommend you avoid this bakery at all cost unless you want a single donut. Or until they decide to hire competent adult staff.
