Renegade Coffee Company - Hot pistachio latte with oatmilk

I went to renegade on a Monday afternoon and the drive thru itself was not busy at all. I received fast and friendly service. I ordered a hot pistachio latte with oatmilk. It was pretty good, the pistachio flavor was noticeable but not unbalanced with the coffee. I recommend giving renegade a try, especially if you need to get coffee quickly and do not want to go to a coffee chain.

This is a cute coffee shop right next door to changing hands book store!…read more You can do drive thru or sit inside. There are maybe six four seater tables and a couch! The chairs are pretty uncomfortable, wood and no cushion. I greatly appreciate the gluten free options!! Unfortunately this is what also led to the four stars and this alone (because everything else was great). There were three different kinds of donuts, I got the double chocolate (chocolate with chocolate frosting) rather than vanilla with frosting or cinnamon. These are soft donuts... more like cake not akin to actual donut texture at all. They heated it up for me which was very nice but it was for way too long, the frosting was melted half off lol! The barista was very kind and asked if I wanted a new one but I wasn't going to waste a perfectly fine donut. Maybe I should have - the frosting dried so fast and separated slightly, the donut was very dry and just reminded me so much of cake which I don't like. I always finish a gluten free treat and couldn't do it, I actually felt a little sick from too much sugar. The Java chip coffee, however, was divine!! Very tasty, also pretty sugary though. The medium is quite large and not expensive compared to other coffee places. I would go back to try a gluten free sandwich or scone but will definitely skip on the donuts. Overall, I have positive ratings! It was the donut and very sugary content that made this four stars

Paris was good, but the experience did not warrant any return visit. They had a huge variety of options (sweets, meals, snacks, etc) in a few places near the ordering counter. The setup reminded me a school cafeteria. You pick up a tray, use the tongs to select your choices, walk up to counter, see more items peruse, then pay at the counter. The store was well decorated, very bright & colorful -- and the seating was quite comfortable (the whicker seats anyway). We ordered a wide array of savory & sweets. The salad needed more dressing, a few of the savory pastries were a bit chewy (had they been out awhile, maybe?), and most of the sweets were decent. The polite gal behind the counter offered to warm up the savory pastries but we declined -- I believe the heat would have made them more chewy. It was a bummer we didn't enjoy the food more. I see there's one in our neck of the woods. Maybe, maybe! we will try that location.

Very welcoming space in an enormous lobby, and easy to access. Chairs, sofas, bartops, tables... the seating choices are endless. Well lit, with a security guard tucked away to keep watch. The menu is straightforward, all the expected coffee choices, and a more extensive food selection than I'd anticipated. I chose to combine the avocado toast and substitute the toast for an everything bagel. They asked if I'd like chili flakes on that and... of course! The cappuccino was excellent, with dense, stiff foam, deep flavor, and perfectly portioned. The avocado bagel was phenomenal, with good, chunky avocado, spread thick on a buttered and toasted bagel. Plenty enough to spread along both sides and have a bit left over. The flow of customers was steady and they worked through all of the orders quickly and efficiently... really could not ask for a better quick coffee breakfast experience.

They have real plants placed in different areas of the cafe and everything seemed to be well maintained. Today we tried four different flavored Vietnamese coffees- pandan, ube, sea salt, and egg foam. All of the flavors were on point but one flavor that left an impression on me was the pandan flavor. It wasn't too sweet, yet you can taste the pandan flavor and it was easy to drink. If you haven't had Vietnamese coffees before and you are in Arizona, looking for caffeine refill, I highly recommend you go check out Cafe Mollie. This place offers plenty of free parking spaces.

If I could give a place 10*s, Lux has more than earned the title…read more Cool space coffee shops are definitely a thing in Phoenix lately--but Lux was the "design-genius-with-a-latte-machine" long before coffee shops were even a thing here. I've been frequenting this architectural marvel for over 10 years. While so many new shops try to mimic this vibe, none of them are Lux. Lux is King! The 11-Year Flashback: I looked back at my review from 11 years ago when I docked them a star for the "nightmare parking." Back then, I was a "to-go" only person who never envisioned myself as a laptop-hipster hanging out. Well, times change! I'm bumping them up to 5 stars now. Maybe it's the new competition nearby or my better timing, but the parking is a breeze, and I've officially embraced the "comfy chair" lifestyle. The "Cheers" Factor: What really sets this place apart is the people. After a decade of visits, it truly feels like Cheers--where everybody knows my name! Getting to know the folks behind the counter makes every visit feel like coming home. The Sip of the Night: I shifted from my usual plain Cappuccino as my target drink to include in a review to feature their Espresso Martini. I went with a Reposado base instead of the typical vodka, and it was stellar. With two full bars in addition to the coffee and pastry bar, craft drinks truly abound here! (Note: they have an amazing cappuccino too) The Comfort Classics: You cannot leave without the food. My go-to favorites? The Tomato Soup with Grilled Cheese and the legendary Chocolate Chip or Red Velvet cookies. Return Factor: 100% I've been coming here for a decade, and it's still the gold standard. As I said in my review 11 years ago: "I see a book, comfy chair and cocktail in my future! Stumble home... Repeat." Still true today! #PHXCoffeeShopTour #1CupAtATime #LuxCentral #PhoenixOriginal #EspressoMartini #FlashbackReview
