Servers are polite but a bit too mechanical. Hard to describe but overall they provide good service. I like the place outlook. They have a full bar and for some reason I always like when a restaurant has a bar. Even if I don't drink, I like to have that option. As for the food; it was ok. A little plain but not bad. Yum, yum, yum. We dined here on a Monday night. Chef off? Hmmm - if so not a problem! It was pasta night but we chose to order off the menu. Go veal! We all ordered veal! All three different dishes were delicious! The service was excellent as we had many different members of the staff attentive to our needs and wants. The house salad was ok - this the star rating. Had it been more than Romain and a few cherry tomatoes- a few more robust ingredients ( red onion, cucumber, Italian peppers ..... it would have been great. The house dressing was however very good! The food was just so so What really was annoying was my husband's entree ,a pork chop was served raw in the middle . He sent it back and for the second time it came back raw . We were with another couple and were practically finished eating. The waitress asked him if he would like something else. The manager reserved him his chicken Frances without a word of apology or explanation . It should have been removed from the bill. My chicken parm was made with two cutlets exactly the same round shape and tasted like they were pressed chicken . His chicken francese was blandeithoutcany lemon taste whatsoever. I really enjoyed my meal, the rigatoni a la vodka was delicious. The bread was warm and flavorful. My meal came with a tasty salad too - I love when salad comes with my meal. My boyfriend had the sea bass which was tasty and even more tasty was his side dish which was like a cheesy polenta - yum!!! I would say this place is 'that Italian restaurant' you can count on for when you want to have a relaxing night out: good consistent food, friendly service, and cozy atmosphere! I'll be back! I have been coming here for about 5 years since we moved here last evening we got takeout and I specifically asked if there was a charge for credit cards the lady said no , then I asked how much a shrimp lemone dinner because I felt the total for that and a linguine white clam sauce was high , she said 35.00 I said the menu said 32.00 she said price is 35 so after looking on next door which I don't use much indeed there's a charge for credit cards , if I knew in advance like I asked I would have given the person cash for payment but once there it was too late , I'm sure the lady knew but with many restaurants getting push back on credit card surcharges she decided not to tell me , that being said Ciros has very good food and service but things like this leave a bad taste in your mouth so for now whereas I was going for Christmas Eve we will not so for 3.00 they lost more and I called the lady said I can give you credit no I'm not hungry for 3.00 I don't like dishonest business if you told me on the phone there's no fee there isn't !! read more

Upscale Italian restaurant with amazing food and great atmosphere. Definitely a great place to throw a baby shower, milestone birthday party, bridal shower, etc. they have an upstairs for private parties but the downstairs main area is still beautiful and spacious enough for big groups. The front bar has its own ambiance and great for a night out with a few friends or a date. The food is AH-MAZ-ING! We always order the caprese salad and the ingredients are always fresh. The breaded mozzarella appetizer is so delicious. The chicken Marsala is one of my favorites anywhere and I'm Italian!! Not easy to impress haha. There's also a baked eggplant pasta dish which is so delicious I ate it 3 days in a row because the servings are huge!! And the staff is super knowledgeable and friendly. We recently dined outside due to covid restrictions and I still felt like I was at a fancy Italian restaurant and so happy with our service. Ciro's is great!! All their food is great but some of my favorite dishes are the Lemon Scallop Risotto amazing, the calamari with the mango sauce the best and his pesto is delicious!! It has been quite some time since we've been to Ciro's. Right after they changed hands from Basil's we were very disappointed, and stayed away. We decided to give it another chance recently, and were pleasantly surprised by the food and atmosphere. We were glad to see some of the old waitress's were still there, and the food was very good, just like the old days. I'd give it 10 stars if I could. We had a Party of 22 last night to celebrate my Moms bday. I asked for Beautiful Tima to be our server and she came through beautifully. She accommodated all our needs. The food was delish I had the fish special which Tima suggested and it was delish. The baby octopus, fried zucchini, calamari all is very good. I saw many empty plates so good tell of tasty meals. There was one problem which was over the top fixed with the chief coming out himself. I used to live in Monroe for 8 years and heart about Ciro's many times, just never made it there. I was in town this past weekend and decided to go there to see what all of the hype was about. My party of 7 showed up without reservation on what turned out to be a very busy Sunday afternoon for the restaurant, as they were hosting multiple planned events. As soon as I walked in, one guy apologized that they couldn't fit us today. A lady saw how disappointed I looked and said, "if you give me 10 minutes and are okay with me seating you in the bar area then I'll get your table prepared". That level of customer service dedication made my day, I was so happy because of it. So many times I have ran into similar situations elsewhere and the staff just didn't give a shit. So we sat down in the time promised and the waiter made some great recommendations for appetizers and meals. He was spot on. My favorite was the calamari with the balsamic glaze, man was that as excellent as he said it would be. I also had the lobster risotto, absolutely perfect! You guys have a new fan in me! I promise to come here every time I'm in the area and to preach about my experience here as often as I can. Please keep up the good work. You guys rock! read more

Been to this establishment for lunch... not bad but a bit pricy. Dinner was a different story.. not the best on all fronts. Calamari was out of a Costco box... poor quality, no taste. We left it on the table. Service was at best poor. Asked the waiter, Charles, for bread three times. Finally grabed a bus boy who complied immediatelly. The main course was good. Ordered on DoorDash, delivery was on time and good was good. Ordered the Gorgonzola walnut ravioli in an Alfredo sauce. Flavor was great, sauce was a little thick and taste of walnut was lacking. If there were some crushed walnuts on top that would of made the dish better in my opinion. But overall good food, would go again. read more

Ciro's is always great. Get the calamari appetizer- to die for. Also, ask for James. He's a pleasure to have around and a great server. They'll keep your wine for next time if you're a regular. They don't offer gluten free pasta, but will cook it for you if you bring it in. read more

My sister and I have been to Ciro's several times this year . In Oct. after the Clearbrook fall musical play, a bunch of us were there and had a fabulous meal. The calamari appetizer was excellent..tender and not rubbery like in other places...Succulent shrimp parmigiana...which were so large and juicy it seemed as if we were eating rock lobster tails. The veal marsala was magnificent...sauce was perfection...The big surprise of the day was a dessert made of creamy cheesecake stuffed into an almond coated cone..absolutely unforgettable. We'll be back this Wed. the 16th to celebrate my sister's ##th birthday. Follow up review is forthcoming. By the way...you can't find a nicer guy than the owner. He is so concerned about his guests' satisfaction and happiness with the food and service. You don't find that in many places these days.
