What a surprise I had today. I walked into this average looking pizzeria with low expectations Instead I had what was probably the best slice of sausage, peppers and onion pizza I've ever had. I had to use a knife and fork on this oversized slice Only issue I had with the place is they are cash only. I spoke to the owner who said he's working on the credit card issue. Overall a very dirty vibe. The place is hardly clean, do not know how they pass inspection. The only good item on the menu is their chicken roll. It's top notch. Never get the soup. It was literally progresso canned soup, I saw the cans in the garbage. read more

Best pizza on the peninsula. Hands - down. Also the chicken roll could feed a small army. It would be nicer if they had a better location for eating-in, but I usually just take out there anyway. It is in the Walbaums shopping plaza so you always have somewhere to park. Get a sicilian slice and you won't be disappointed. read more

my first time here..came here for some pizza craving recently, tried the pepperoni, meatball, and sausage slices, and garlic knots the pepperoni is too thin for my taste. i like them thick to the point where they curl! the meatball was stale, tasteless, not good sausage was decent, but not enough flavoring garlic knots were very bland, dry--i like them buttery and soft. the plain pizza is decent, although they can go even thinner with the pie crust and it would be even better. but i find it sickening when i walk in to order and there's a spanish girl and a spanish guy(both workers) just sitting around hugging and smooching. take it out back and dont do it in front of your customers!! read more

This was absolutely the worst pizza I have ever tried to eat. I have no idea what that layer on top was, but it wasn't cheese. I ordered a white pizza, but realized after the delivery guy left that he brought me a regular pie. I also ordered a Cesar salad - it was not edible. Do you like eating tinfoil? If you do you'll love this place. Every pinwheel comes with tinfoil stuck all over the bottom so you have to spend 15 picking apart you food to make sure there's none on there. I guess the people who work here haven't grasped the concept that cheese melts when it gets hot. There are plenty of other, better pizza places in Rockaway - go there instead. read more

The portions are plentiful and the food has good flavor. HOWEVER every time I call in to place an order they are rude and inpatient. Perhaps put more importance on your customer service rather then adding a couple of extra linguines in my order. read more

Their heros are huge. Their calzones are also huge but very greasy. I don't mind the grease but their pizza tends to be very greasy too. Definitely just a standard pizza place though. I went to Rockaway for fishing and stopped by this Italian pizzeria, figured it would be tasty. The food was okay but the service not so. You cannot cannot converse in peace in this place. The gentlemen who seemed like the owner was completely obnoxious to one of his delivery guys, who by the way was also Italian. My friend asked if our eggplant hero was ready, very rudely the same gentleman replied its not, to sit down and relax. We continued our conversation to later be told that our cellphone was a bother and to take our conversation to the back of the shop. This place is complete chaos and all the men are Italian rude old men. Do not bring your kids here, if you urgently need a slice pick up and go! read more

Friends of mine tried eating here today. They have a disabled son who must have his service dog with him. Unfortunately they were told to leave because of the dog. It is legal for these dogs to go into restaurants and they should have never been asked to leave. Shame on you Ciro's! read more

Pizza here is awesome. Their eggplant parm piece is out of this world. They were the only pizzeria open after the hurricane for a long time and I still, even after other places have reopened, go to this pizzeria. Not a lot of seating though, unless you are willing to sit across from or next to a stranger. read more

Good run-of-the-mill pizza joint. Nice selection. Like the eggplant pizza. Prefer Gino's or New Park in Howard Beach, but this place does the trick when I don't want to leave Rockaway. read more

Maybe I'm not used to Rockaway-area pizza but I found this sausage/pepperoni pizza disappointing. The edges were nicely charred but the interior of the pie looked and tasted a little goopy. It was also pretty greasy. The crust was flavorful but lacked chew. It's not the worst pizza but I would only go here if I really needed a pizza fix. read more

They didn't bring my complete order & This has happened on numerous occasions. I called to get the rest of my order & they refused to bring my missing items. They said they were too busy & the manager said i could come by the next day for a reimbursement or they would take the amount off on my next delivery order ? Good for a quick slice, the buffalo chicken is my favorite. Tried getting plain pies to go 2x and both times they ended up being a soupy mess. Not sure how that can happen. It doesn't seem like culinary science to turn out a pie that is not a sloppy mess by the time you get it home. read more

Ordered here tonight for delivery. Gentleman on the phone said 30 minutes but it was here in 20. Ordered the Lasagna and the Ziti and meatballs. Huge portion sizes came with bread and small salad. Lasagna was great for the most part except for being a little burnt on the bottom. All that food for 23.00 is well worth it read more
