Friday, May 20, 2022 = It was a girls night out between sister in laws. Our evening started off well. We recognized our waiter, Max as we seen him training on our last visit. We had a nice chat. He spoke highly of Cisco's management as well as his coworkers. After that, everything went downhill. We ordered 2 Big Bobs, water and an unsweetened ice tea with lemon along with a large guacamole with jalapeños on the side. Drinks came but without lemon; guacamole came without jalapeños nor plates. We had to ask two (2) times for the missing items and that was after we were ignored several times while he walked passed us. We even tried asking the person who dropped off the guacamole, who seemed to assist in getting the missing items. No such luck. She ignored us as well after coming out to serve others with their food. We received our main course, which was delicious. When we were ready for our check, we tried to get Max's attention but he would just walk off. We finally had to ask the manager to assist, which got the result we wanted. This was the first time since we've been coming here that the service was not where it should be. Even though it was a Friday night, it was not extremely busy outside as it has been in the past which is most likely due to the heat. We have been here many times. Our last visit did not meet our expectations. The hostess did not give us a wait time because she really had no idea. We ended up waiting for over an hour, while looking at empty tables. The issue was that the restaurant is understaffed on a Friday night. After waiting for 20 minutes, we had no problem getting ourselves alcoholic drinks from the bar. However, when we went to get water for our children, we were ignored on the first attempt and told we would have to wait on the second attempt by the bartender. Then he never helped me. I had to seek out a server by wandering through the restaurant. Once seated we were given 1 basket of chips and 1 salsa for 7 people. We had to wait for silverware after our food was served because they were out. We waited patiently for service because we knew they were short staffed. We did not complain, but after reading other reviews, it seems that being short staffed on a busy evening is the norm for this venue. The food is always great. The employees were kind and hardworking with the exception of the bartender, who was selective in who he served and impolite. We were there for over 3 hours, which is way longer than we planned. read more

Food is good when you can get seated. On a Thursday night we were told 10-15 minutes. We watched a dirty empty table for 45 minutes. Manager walked by taking a dirty plate or glass away then not come back to finish. We watched others that came after us sit and eat. We saw an empty clean table in the back but hostess said that they wouldn't seat us there. When we complained they said "some people wait an hour". If I'd been told it was going to be 45 minutes I'd not have stayed. No apology, calloused employee didn't see the problem. read more

Ok gotta love this Everyone...picture this. You are strolling thru downtown Tomball. You spy a patio with people laughing and lounging around sipping on margaritas and get this...their dogs were allowed on the patio! I LOVE that! Heck I didn't even know it was there. I had turned a corner I've never been on before when I spotted it...wishing my pups were with me. Well if you follow my you know I'm a sucker for Margaritas! I had my 1st jalapeño margarita...oh my was that tasty They have homemade mixers! Food was fresh and delicious. I had the taco salad with steak super yummy with homemade jalapeño ranch...couldn't get enough of it and was sad when my salad was finished! Now here is was was important to me...yep if you follow my yelps I'm also a sucker for flan! They have it on the menu but unfortunately my heart sank and shared with the waitress the scoundrel that ordered the last piece....well I was pretty sure I was going to butch slap him in my head! So what does the fantastic waitress do...well I'll tell you. Intrigued me with a crazy sounding cheesecake. It's a Sopapilla Cheesecake! Yep...cheesecake lightly fried in a sopapilla shell served with Dulce de Leche ice cream chocolate sauce &strawberry! So good, but missing my flan. I vowed to come back another day! Best part yet is really how I was treated. As a Flight Attendant since 1987 I've eaten all over as you can imagine. Often times alone. Forgotten by most waitstaff because I'm not. 4 Top and making them more money. Not here! They were hopping, I was as important as the large tables...love it so much! I was excited to try this place with my coworkers based off the reviews and curb appeal but ended up leaving extremely dissatisfied with the food and disgusted by the customer service from the MANAGER. My coworker ordered a plate of chicken enchiladas. She was given cheese enchiladas, the waitress was extremely nice and apologetic. She went to the back and brought back some chicken, however as she returned my coworker for some reason began to fill sick. She rushed outside to throw up in her napkin. (No she isn't pregnant or wasn't feeling sick before) When she returned she told the waitress she no longer wanted the food due to throwing up. The waitress left to retrieve her manager to discuss the options for the meal. The manager arrived shortly after and began to interrogate my coworker. She told the manager after taking a bite of the food, that it just didn't sit right with her and caused her to throw up. The manager went on and on about how she checks the food each morning and watches the cooks when cooking each plate. They began to go back and forth, until my other coworker simply asked look all we need to know if the plate will be comp'd she only took one bit and no longer wants it. The manager was unreasonable and said let me speak with the owners. She knew we were working professionals on a lunch break. We saw her walking by and asked if she had spoken with the owners when she got an attitude and said she was assisting other customers and that she would be back once she was done. We again simply asked if it was going to be comp'd or not so we can pay for our other two meals and leave. She was very aggressive at this point and said I will be back along with other words. When she returned she said "I went ahead and comp'd your entire meal and wanted to express that y'all are no longer welcome to come back here." We got kicked out a restaurant for not liking something. A simple comp'd meal for my coworker would have sufficed, my other coworker and I finished our meals and was going to pay our part. Instead went over board and said we can't go back, just childish. As we left we took pictures outside on the sidewalk (so public property), she actually came outside and walked up to us and starting arguing with us as we were leaving. Now the entire time she was handling this situation her hands were waiving in the air like she has no damn sense and she started to get loud making a scene before my coworker did. Even as we left my coworker gave her some advice and told her she's never going to find a husband or keep one with that kind of attitude and as she's walking back into the building she yells to us because at this point we are further down away from the building "They are overrated anyways." She was petty to the extreme and just doesn't know what customer service is.... we did wish her a better day, I hope this never happens again. Also the food was okay, I wasn't impressed with my shredded pork tacos. The pork wasn't shredded it was clumped. The corn tortillas didn't even taste like corn tortillas. The rice was bland. The chips were oily. The food was expensive for it not being great. We didn't have to pay but my meal was almost $14 for 2 street tacos and small portion of rice and black beans. read more

I live exactly 32 minutes from here and I, without a doubt, would drive here every single time I want Mexican food above any place in the Conroe/The Woodlands area. Outside area is wonderful - tv's, you can take your dog, lots of fans! Perfect. I got the skinny Margarita and my boyfriend got the house frozen. He loved his! I normally only get tequila with fresh lime juice because sweet is not my thing, and this skinny Margarita was wonderful! The complimentary fresh salsa is Devine! I wish I could buy a jar. We also got the Queso (made it fire by adding habanero sauce) WARNING: it is REALLY spicy, so add it in slowly or you'll be funneling your margarita. If you don't get an entree, I recommend at least getting the queso. Additionally, we split the 1/2 lb steak fajitas. I'm not exaggerating when I say these are the BEST fajitas around. The main reason I love them is the meat is on a king size bed of sautéed veggies - I have found that most Mexican restaurants don't have all of the veggies anymore (my fave part). 1/2 made 3 stuffed tacos - great for two people and only $15. Skip your normal Mexican restaurant & come here - you won't regret it! read more

I really did not want to give this place 1 star but, I will give the waiter Colton and food the star. We had reservations for a Birthday Party. The Reservation was for 7:30pm on April 10, 2021 and the manager sat another party at our reserved table and at 7:30pm they were just getting their meal. So, they wanted us to wait another hour on that table. I had to go up 4 times to talk to the manager to get a table. Our party was all split up and never got a table to sit all together. The place was disorganized and could not handle all the customers. The manager was so rude and offered nothing for our inconvenience. He was getting upset at us for him not knowing how to seat people properly. Once we did get a table it took forever to get drinks. The only saving grace was the waiter. At about 9:50pm the singer announced he had time for one more song and the manager yelled across the restaurant and told the singer to wrap it up. The manager interrupted the singer's set and wanted everyone out of the restaurant asap. We basically got there at 7:00 and was not seated until almost 8:00. There were other people upset there and until they can get it together, we are out. It's a shame because this place was good, now it's not so good. Everyone was running around and looked confused at what their job was. To the manager, you need to maybe look at doing something else and the way you treat the people that come to your establishment was so horrible. We were really excited to try this place out on Friday night because we were there for the parade of lights. When we first arrived they said no wait for outside tables so we said okay we will sit outside. 10 minutes later the hostess told us I'm sorry there is a 30-45 minute wait now. I get that they were busy because of people in the area for the parade and fireworks but they were really not prepared for a crowd. They were completely understaffed and the waitress and other staff were completely rude because they were running around so much. We got our food but had to wait about another 10 minutes for silverware because they told us they had to go and clean some first. Overall I was not impressed with the service or the food. The food was pretty bland. I think the location is great and seems like a great place so maybe we will have to try it when they are really less busy read more

Welcoming and friendly hosts, bar tender, and staff. We were seated immediately and our waiter obtained our drink order. A wide range of food options. We heard their burgers were good so we opted for 2 of the Baja, plus started with the combo appetizer. The combo app has a small bowl of guacamole and a small bowl of queso. I like that the guac you select what items you want in it. The queso is cheesy with right consistency. The guac tasted delicious and fresh. The house salsa is good and topped with fresh pico. I got a mason jar margarita. The bar tender delivered it and later checked to make sure I liked it. Really good with right mix of flavors. If I wasn't working I could have drank a couple more. Definitely get a margarita here you will love it! The Baja burger is good. The cheese is thick and gooey. The burger patty tasted handmade and it was cooked right. The bread stood up to the juicy burger. It comes with fries, but I opted for their tortilla soup. The soup is chunky with lots of tortilla strips covering the top. The cheese is already mixed in. Cisco's has a small indoor eating area and a really nice outdoor patio. They had live music outside on the evening of my visit. I started with chips and salsa, but the salsa was sadly disappointing for a place named Cisco Salsa Company. It was thick and tomato sauce like with no flavor. The sampler appetizer includes queso and homemade guacamole. It's pretty cool because they bring you out a slip to choose what items you want in your guacamole. Both were very good. For my entree, I had the carnitas tacos and tortilla soup. Both were okay, but again lacked flavor. My dinner companions both had chicken dishes. The chicken was dry and again no flavor. The beans tasted canned and the rice was crunchy. Service was also pretty slow. I have had California style Mexican food before and this is not close at all. read more

My husband and I ate here on Saturday night. The food was outstanding! I had the Chipotle enchiladas with street corn and rice and he had the fish tacos with charro beans. We both agreed it was the best Mexican food we've eaten in a while. We sat outside and the patio was lovely. We listened to live music from a musician that we really enjoyed. We have given this place a number of tries and after this time, we will not be going back. We entered and were seated quickly, but we waited for a waitress to take our drink order. Eventually, we got our food order taken. My husband and I both ordered the same entree, a bbq pulled pork sandwich, while we both said no onions, I went a little further and added some avocado, refried beans, and a side salad. After a usual wait our food came out, but what we got were two different results. My husband's sandwich was soggy and barely toasted. The meat on one half was dry, while the other half had mostly fatty meat, and it was lightly sauced to the point of barely tasting it. My sandwich bread was damn near burned and the meat was terribly dry which I had a hard time covering up with beans, sour cream, and avocado. We barely saw our waitress and when the bill came, we found we were charged for the sour cream, avocado and charged heavily for the beans. Yea, we're never coming. read more

One of my favorite little Tomball restaurants. It's off the main drag but very easy to get to. The ambiance is quaint Mexican meets rustic. They have a wrap around patio that enhances the experience. i would not recommend eating here. The food tasted horrible. Burrito had an overwhelming cinnamon taste. Both The waiter and the woman who helped bring our food out made us feel like they were doing us a favor. Very unfriendly. Had to wait to get refills on soft drinks. One order had to go back and it took way too long to get it replaced. I will not be back and I will make sure anyone I know doesn't go there to eat. read more

Imagine walking into a restaurant on a Saturday night at 6pm. You'd expect a horrid wait and waiters running around like crazy, right? WRONG. I am blown away by this place! This review might get a little confusing, but I really wanted to highlight how everybody here really wants your experience to be great. We were seated immediately with server 1 that brought us chips and salsa. As soon as we sat, we had server 2 come and explain to us some of the specials and then grab us some drinks, he was also so knowledgeable about all of the gluten free and dairy free items (even knew about how using a steak marinade that included soy sauce could interfere with a gluten intolerance). Server 3 introduced herself and checked up on us after we received our drinks. Server 1 came to check on us again and brought out more salsa, while server 3 offered us drink refills. This was all in 10 minutes, insane! I've never received such amazing service! Server 4 stopped by just to check on us too about 2 minutes after server 3 took our order. Then, our food and extra salsa was brought out by server 3. I'm so amazed by the speed and the friendliness of this place. Not to mention, this atmosphere is amazing. My wife, two kids and I stopped here for dinner on the evening of Saturday, June 2, 2018. We arrived at the restaurant around 9:00pm. We were seated pretty quickly; however, it took a bit for our waitress Fernanda to tend to us. We were served salsa and chips while Fernanda took care of our drink order. Our son wanted a soda and when he placed his order, we were told that they were out. So when asking for other options, it was almost as if Fernanda did not understand what we were asking. When our daughter ordered her Cisco's Chicken Burrito, she asked for cheese to come on top of the burrito however, it was brought to her in a dish on the side. While eating her burrito, she bit down on something "crunchy" which she thinks may have been a bone. Our son ordered the Kids Steak Taco with beans and rice. He expected more than one taco and he felt the taco that was served was small. He also asked for cheese for the taco; however, it was served without. My wife and I both ordered the Classic Shrimp Tacos which came in homemade corn tortillas w/ shredded cabbage, homemade pickled onions, & baja sauce. These tacos were VERY FLAVORFUL. In my opinion, the size of these tacos could have been served as appetizers. They were like "mini tacos". Overall, I felt the food was good but the service was lacking. read more

Last night, my family and I went to Cisco's for dinner. We were craving Mexican food! We were very pleased with the food. At first, the service was a tad slow because it was super busy and they didn't have enough servers, but the waiters tried their best to serve everyone in a timely manner. We weren't in a hurry, so it was fine. When we were eventually served, we ordered the sampler appetizer, which came with two small plates of guacamole and their queso with crispy flour chips. They were the real treat! For the main courses, my husband ordered the enchiladas, which he said were very good, and I split the steak & shrimp fajitas with my daughters. Both were cooked to perfection. The shrimp was crispy on the outside and super yummy! I also liked the variety of options for the side dishes,but it only comes with one (you can get more for a charge). And, instead of flour or corn tortillas, you could order lettuce cups too for a healthy option. Over all, the people were friendly and the service was great and the food was authentic & homey. read more

The chips were on the salty side and the salsa was bland. The tortilla soup again was not hot or spicy. The margaritas were excellent. Get one. Don't use the bathrooms unless you have to. Cisco's Salsa Company is known for their Fajitas. I had some of the chicken and beef fajitas. The chicken fajitas were okay, but the beef ones were really good. The only real knock was the amount of oil in the bottom of the pan. The fire queso (queso with habanero) was excellent. The rice for one of the dishes was hard, and the waitress replaced it immediately. I will come back in the future. read more

I have been eating and drinking here for a few years. It's a fav, went today and realized I have never reviewed Ciscos and I love this place. The mason jar margarita is a must. The waitstaff have always been great. I have liked all my meals today we had fajitas chicken and beef, Iordered them well done so they came out charred. We ate the entire lb, no to go's. I like that I can have grilled veggies as a side and lettuce cups instead of tortillas. In the past I have had their shrimp salad with the mandarin oranges can't remember the name . It was really good to. My daughter loves the bean burrito, my son loves the cheese quesadilla. The fish tacos are another favorite of mine. you can make healthy choices here and still indulge a little I can bring my dogs too. They have bands on the weekends its such a fun place. read more
