    NY Steak and egg breakfast
    Jo S.

HEY STEVE!! APRIL 1st UPDATE TO YOUR LAST COMMENT RESPONSE:: I saw your comment sorry they upset you but did you happen to look at my pictures that I included? You could be as pissed off as you want about the comments I made about management staff, but why don't you explain the quality of the food I received? The pictures are the evidence!!! LET'S GET THIS FIXED!!! READ ALL THE WAY THROUGH TO SEE MY IDEAS FOR IMPROVING!! I decided to try New York steak and eggs breakfast from your place today and the pictures show the result!! SOOOOOOOO FRUSTRATING !! HOW HARD IS IT?? The steak was ordered medium rare and I doublecheck that the ticket said medium rare, which it did. You can see the results here, most noticeably the nice, deep, dark marks on my steak from a Press.!! Why do I have to use a Press on a medium rare steak?? What's obvious is you're cooking staff is screwing you behind your back putting out CRAP food with no attention to detail unless their hands are caught in the pie so to speak. It's also obvious that whoever the managers are there, that not much oversight is being paid to how the food is being cooked and sent out, in particular, in particular!!! to to-go orders.!!! This doesn't happen inside Keno's, this happens with to go orders and I am really tired of it!! So I've made my point, but I have a suggestion to try to improve things , actually a two part suggestion: First, print up a bunch of simple 3 x 5 cards (3 x 5 so they're not just a small slip of paper and a card because it has weight and texture) On this card write a note to the customer stating that the food they receive should be absolutely the best, in both quality and flavour, and if they receive a to-go order that is not they should be calling you or going on YELP and putting a complaint in -- and then sign your name so you own it!! That is a great credibility move and I know how passionate you are your restaurant. It's time to get past these underlings that are just not doing the job but still getting the paycheck. Secondly, at least for the near future, you don't have to announce it publicly but you can keep it privately, have a manager inspect every to go order on their shift and sign the back of that 3 x 5 card I was talking above, "inspected by" and LEGIBLY print his name so we know who he / she is. When you place ownership on the rest of the management team to get the product out the door correctly, the attention to detail and the emphasis on quality can't help but roll downhill!!! And please, no refunds or credits - I ate the food. It wasn't the best and I'm hoping you can help me to improve it. Thank you

We stopped into keno's last night and enjoyed their Wednesday lasagna special. We absolutely love the lasagna they prepare. The drink drinks are also great here. The service is always over the top even when they're very busy. They keep up with the tables. The inside is still a cool little place to hang out at the bar area. It is like a step back in time. What a great place you have to give them a try if you haven't already. They are that good.

Kenos has stood the test of time for a reason a nice neighborly feel restaurant with good people and good food simple combination but a lot of places get it wrong believe it or not came in for breakfast was served by my regular I loved it I don't even have to say nothing she already knows what I want to drink what I eat which is a nice touch I've been a customer here for well over 20 years and hopefully I got another 20 in me well done hats off to the staff

Chicken texture is like a cardboard box.

Their food quality really depends on the day, and recently they aren't good anymore. Today I ordered Fried chicken, and the texture is like a cardboard box and no flavor. I don't know what i was eating. I believe they still have chicken night. I think they make chicken once a week and microwave the leftovers. I don't know, but it's that bad. But I remember their waiters were nice, but I barely got there anymore.

Located in Anaheim Hill next to Armstrongs. Lots of inside seating. Came for lunch on a Thursday and was seated promptly. Server was quick in taking our order and friendly. Lots of menu items. Breakfast lunch and dinner choices. - Steak and Eggs - Ruben Melt; lots of meat and not too salty but flavorful - Chicken Gumbo: little on the watery side and taste like gumbo / minestrone - Split Pea Soup; nice flavor Good value for food that's quick and cheap.

Great ambiance. Was able to catch the games and enjoy live music. Got a bottle of our favorite wine and a prime rib dinner.

Strip steak with all the trimmings. Added the mushrooms. Amazing

Eaten here 100's of times for breakfast. So when your friend says "let's go for a steak dinner", why not. $27.99 for soup or salad, a Strip steak, potatoes and vegetables. Not such a bad idea. And quite honestly better than most steak houses at 5x the price. Delicious salad, extremely crisp lettuce: generous size. Perfectly seasoned and cooked to a perfect medium rare. Baked Potatoes with all the trimmings right on point. And perfectly seasoned veggies. Having worked 12+years in steak houses, I'd say Keno's is a hidden gem. And I can't how many times my steaks have been under seasoned and overcooked at major steak houses. So is their steakhouse Tue-sat at nite in the bar! Simple. No frills. No BS. Just deliciousness.

This is a restaurant we come to every few years. It's nice restaurant with a bar. I ordered the Reuben sandwich with coleslaw. The waitress was friendly and helpful as was all the staff. Our order came out quickly and looked great. I was a little bit disappointed in the sandwich. It doesn't have much flavor. The coleslaw was okay, it was about average. Overall it's a restaurant that is worth checking out if you haven't been before.

Great to watch sports or go on a date night And you can always have a choice to choose from either the diner side or sports bar side. I always choose the sports bar I give this a 5 stars Worth the prices as well!!! And customer service is so efficient and they always check on you if u need anything

This may be my favorite diner in Anaheim. It's a very large American comfort food diner that specializes in breakfast and lunch. We stopped in for our first time for breakfast and had a great meal. Inside is very large with many different types of seating from booths to counter to table and is divided into many different areas. Even though it was very crowded, we did not have to wait at all to be seated for a party of two. There is a very large free parking lot attached so there were plenty of spaces available when we arrived. Our server was really polite and everything that we ordered arrived shortly after ordering it. The menu is very large and has a lot of great options on it. It took me a while to decide what I wanted, but I chose one of the specials for the day. I went with the Short Rib Eggs Benedict and thought it was really great. There were some fatty pieces that I had to cut off and did not want to eat, but aside from that it had some great flavors and instead of having the English muffin on the bottom, the base was hashbrowns, which was an interesting version of the traditional Benedict. Overall, I really liked it and I would recommend ordering it if available. We had a great breakfast and I already want to come back again to try more items so I would recommend to anyone in or passing through Anaheim.

Oh my God , this place is amazing. It's always been a staple in our household, but Steak Night is the Bomb!! What can I say prime rib, ny steaks, filet mignon you. Plus the music in the lounge is icing on the cake vRice pudding is awesome.

Parking: I had no problem finding parking spot as the lot is huge and shared with many other businesses. Interior: We were seated right away without any wait time as we arrived when they just opened. We were seated in a dark area of the restaurant (think bar vibe) so I was a little not sure at first. Most brunch places I went to were always filled with sunlight and bright colorful interiors. This place embraced a classic, quiet feel, something like a Steak House would have. Service: Our server's name was Susan I believe, who was nice and attentive through the whole meal, despite the crowd slowly built up and filled the restaurant. She never failed to check back on us, not just once but twice and refilled our water. She probably isn't as familiar with the brunch menu favorites but seem to know more about the Main menu. The General Manager came out and greeted us because most of their customers are regulars and it's uncommon to have first timers like us visiting. This nice hospitality made us feel very warmly welcomed and impressed. Food: I couldn't decide whether to go with the Slow braised beef on the brunch menu (braised beef benedict) or the main menu but ended up going with the Main menu to get a good portion size. It was a perfect choice because the beef is just amazing. It was cooked to a soft perfection, well seasoned, the roasted vegetable was also cooked just right and not super raw/ crunchy like other places. Then the star of the show arrived - the butter cake. As Susan suggested, this is their most popular dessert and I can see why. The butter cake comes piping hot with the ice cream on top. There's a nice sugar crunchy feel near the bottom of the cake. It's so delicious that I want to come back just to eat this cake. We had a great time overall and would love to come back.

It has this dark but classy aesthetic and I was not prepared for that (in a good way). This restaurant has been here for about 2 years with different ownership and menu so I was excited to see what they had to offer. Hugo helped us with our order and he was very friendly and professional. We went ahead and ordered the ahi tuna taco, pork belly bao, garlic fries, the margharita pizza, the yuzu lobster pasta, and for drinks I got the virgin burning thyme. My friend got that and other drinks as well. Ahi tuna taco - 5/5 probably the best food item for the evening. The tuna was fresh, perfect amount of kick in its sauce, and the outter shell was perfectly crunchy. I think them replacing the shell with wonton was exceptional with the texture. Every bite was extremely satisfying. Pork Belly bao - 4/5 everything was delicious. The bow itself is bouncy and moist. There wasn't anything special about the sauce inside with the pork belly, but I would definitely give it a try at least once. A great portion with your friends or family as an appetizer. Garlic fries - 3/5 It was a bit underwhelming, but nothing horrible. I could not taste the garlic at all, but the fries itself was cooked to perfection with the outer being pretty crispy and inside being soft. Margharita pizza - 4/5 I really like the crust and the breading of this pizza. It was crispy and the pepperoni was cooked to perfection. I really like the small pepperoni because it gives an immense amount of flavor in each bite. The cheese and the tomato sauce was fine, but nothing special. Yuzu lobster pasta - 4/5 I wish I was able to taste more of the Yuzu since that's in the name of the dish, but I could not. If it was just called the lobster pasta I would say it's amazing. The tomatoes were perfect to lighten the entire dish with the heavy sauce and the pasta. The lobster was cooked fine. Other than that it was fine, but I would say either enhance the Yuzu flavor or remove it in the name of the dish. Burning thyme - 4.5/5 I really like the acid and the balance of sweetness and sour in this drink. Usually, I get skeptical when I make an alcoholic drink version because the bartender tends to over sweeten the drink, but this was not the case, and I enjoyed it a lot with our food.

The ingredients, textures, and flavors were all paired very nicely in each dish we tried. The presentation of every dish we had was immaculate and really elevated the experience (see pics/videos). LONG VERSION: We started with a few slices of French bread that came out fresh from the oven - it had an amazing crust on the outside and was unbelievably melty warm and soft on the inside. I kept asking for more pieces and wish I could have just ordered an entire loaf of it if I'm honest! The presentation of the Hamachi crudo salad was like a piece of art - the dish matched the presentation and the yuzu flavor was unique and refreshing. The shrimp macaron starter was very tasty and the green sauce to dip in had a great spicy kick to it. The Spanish garlic shrimp appetizer was a good size portion that we shared. It came out hot and sizzling on the plate - the shrimp was succulent and the tomatoes and garlic pieces were terrific. For the main dish, we split the uni (sea urchin) pasta. The pasta was home made and delicious. I have never had uni before and it was cool to try a unique and novel flavor but this might not be for everyone (it had somewhat of a bitterness that reminded me of the acquired taste of an olive). The sauce was definitely butter heavy and it evened out the strong flavor of the uni - I found the dish was delicious overall but it is pricey so just make sure you're aware and open minded before you order this. For dessert, we split the chocolate cake/soufflé and this one literally took my breath away and had me rolling my eyes into the back of my head. It was made to order so we had to wait for it to bake, but when it came out, the warmth and quality of the melted chocolate inside was exquisite and the proportions of cake to chocolate to ice cream was absolutely perfect (see video). We don't go out to nice fancy/French restaurants very often, and I'm so glad we indulged with this - it ended the evening in a truly special way. Restaurant ambiance was casual but elegant. Our service was fantastic - we don't eat meat or alcohol and our server helped us navigate the menu to find some great options. Overall, we are grateful for a lovely meal and would recommend anyone else to give it a try if you're looking for a unique and flavorful dining experience.

Everything was really good, especially the Brussels sprouts which were easily some of the best I've had. And the craft cocktails were spot on. Overall, a great experience with excellent food, cocktails, and service. Looking forward to coming back to try their brunch and whiskey room.

They were also playing the Champions League Finals on the TVs which was good. I assume they'll play the World Cup games too. We ordered the Gravy Train and the Ham-azing Croissant. Just a warning, the Ham-azing Croissant is HUGE! This is a definitely a dish meant for sharing. They asked if we wanted them to pour the sauce over the croissant or leave it on the side to dip in. We decided to leave it on the side to be dipped. This croissant sandwich was very dense and filling and the cheese sauce was very rich. I been on the hunt to find the best biscuits and gravy in OC. The ones here were ok. I liked the idea of getting these with fried chicken but unfortunately the fried chicken was quite dry and stringy. The biscuits themselves were buttery and the gravy sauce was very savory and had onion chunks. But the dry chicken made the entire dish very hard to eat. Overall this was a decent brunch, mostly since we spent under $40 for so much food so it was a decent deal.

Recommend: * mole chilaquiles (portion is huge!) * Mayan mocha cold brew (not sweet) * bean and cheese burrito (they sear cheese on the outside) * breakfast burritos * try their fire roasted salsa! While I haven't had a chance to try their entire menu (yet), I love bringing friends and family here - as their prices are reasonable, food is tasty and there's plenty of seating. They do offer a few outdoor tables if you plan on bringing your dog. Ample parking! They also sell swag and trinkets (shirts, stickers, candles, etc).

My first visit was pretty empty inside and I tried the iced pan dulce coffee. It's a medium roast coffee with a sweet cold foam topped with pan dulce crumbles. It was delicious and my favorite drink so far. During my next visit, the cafe was more lively and I tried the specialty cafe de olla cold brew. This was also a solid drink and it was a little less sweet than the iced pan dulce coffee. My favorite thing about these drinks is that they have coffee ice cubes, so when they melt, your drink doesn't taste watered down. They also serve food. Their green chilaquiles had a great flavor and they weren't too spicy. My husband had the chilaquiles oaxaqueños and loved them. I'm not a fan of mole, so they weren't my cup of tea. Their breakfast burritos looked good as well, so that's next on my list to try.
