While walking the pedestrian section of what use to have plenty of shops and restaurant but now pretty much deserted...is this pleasant "outdoor seating" restaurant. The smells were delicious and the tables-socially distanced-looked to be full! I checked the menu and it looked a little more upscale then maybe one would experted. We were not ready for lunch but look forward to coming back and eating here.

A nice restaurant in the historic district. We were there for lunch. Beautiful, warm weather - so we could sit outside under the nice trees in the pedestrian tone of Baltimore Street. Service was very friendly and they offered a wide range of salads for lunch. I had the blackened salmon on a mixed green. Ok, not a lot you can do wrong. But all was good and the prices very reasonable.

If you're passing through Cumberland and need a break from your travels, I highly recommend stopping at City Lights for a meal, especially if the weather is good. They have a little outdoor seating yard set up in the middle of a downtown pedestrian walkway, which is certainly different than the usual patio set up just outside of the venue. The outdoor seating is situated in such a way that you're not likely to be bombarded by noise from any of the businesses on either side of the walkaway, which helps make lunch all the more relaxing. I ate here with my mother over the summer on our way to D.C., and we had no complaints. The kitchen was quick; the waitress very helpful and attentive; and our pair of special summer salmon salads were fresh and delicious. It's hard to find reasonable and healthy food while on the road, so we were more than happy to find something that wasn't the same old house salad option. Fresh, perfectly cooked, and well seasoned fish always impresses me as well, and the salmon here was both! I guess it's fair to mention that parking near the restaurant may be difficult, as others have mentioned; however since my mother and I were traveling, we took the time to wander through the downtown area and didn't try to park too close. As a result City Lights was a part of our lovely stroll through and exploration of Cumberland. The seating and food left us more than satisfied - we would definitely eat here again during future visits.

What a great dining experience in a nice little downtown area. In my husbands words..."the food was knockout, I liked it a lot!" And he dines in some pretty nice restaurants. Not pictured are the crab cake which was absolutely out of this world. That baked brie with honey was magnificent, and my pork chops were so tender. Husband had the filet & daughter had a New York strip, both thought they were really tender and flavorful. The asiago potatoes were really nice, chunks of red skin in them and you can tell they are homemade. Highly highly recommend this restaurant. The service was great too! Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and fun to chat with.

Nice restaurant in the heart of Cumberland. They offer a happy hour special of a Burger and beer for $12 during the week and I couldn't pass that up. I got the American Burger hold the cheese and a hard cider. Very tasty! Friendly staff, fast service!

I want to give them more stars because the waitstaff was AWESOME - so nice and attentive, and really made the experience. We were a little worried when we walked inside and saw that the primary demographic seemed to be the elderly, but the energy inside was great. As for the food? It was okay. I got maple bourbon pork chops (pictured) and was SO excited but... the bleu cheese on top was just really overly salty. I've NEVER said something was too salty. After removing the cheese (sad!) they were fine - well cooked and good portion, but it could have been much better. The creme brûlée was passable, but not something I'd recommend. At the end of the day, though - the price wasn't bad.

Never had a bad meal. Came in for lunch and had the cream if crab soup and the ultimate chicken sandwich. They were spectacular.

This is the place my family always wants to go for celebrations. They have great food and are always nice and are easily accommodating.

Decent place...service a little weak at the bar. Food was ok. For Cumberland, it's fine...if it was in DC, place would not last a week

Great food and an attentive waitress at dinner. The prices are a little high for the area, but we had a great evening.

The night that I stopped in there were three other couples dining, which I understand were all regulars because of the great food. I can't disagree with them. I had French onion soup that had the perfect balance of flavor and texture. I decided in the vegetable lasagna. Delicious indeed. I enjoyed my meal while I engaged in a super awkward conversation with a curious couple trying to figure out why I was visiting Cumberland

Got duck and filet and both were cooked as requested and to perfection with a delicious char, a juicy center, and perfect salt and seasoning. Sides were packed with flavor as well. Ordered a cheese board appetizer as well and they reopened my eyes to blue cheese, peppers, espresso beans, and olives. Very intimate setting, maybe 8 tables max with one server (maybe two and I missed) but I'd plan at least a couple hours for your dining experience, especially if you plan to get appetizers or dessert. Tips: Gotta check out their FB page for the weekly hours and menu as they close some weekends for catering. BYOB, no corking fee! No need to bring corkscrew, they cork it free of charge.
