Delicious breakfast and huge portions! The break sandwich is so big and cheesy, it's big enough to be shared as are the big breakfasts, you definitely leave here filled up!

Great little spot in the middle of nowhere. The pancakes are amazing and HUGE. Wonderful service and friendly staff. Our second stop here on the way to western Md.

OK, the place is not fancy -- at all. In fact, thee interior has seen much better days. However, the nice lady who took care of us was extraordinary -- efficient and could not have been nicer. We were there for lunch and our sandwiches were quite good. Note: We had some difficulties finding the place -- look for the painted windows as shown in the photograph. There was not much a sign out front. Recommended.

Went for breakfast. Had the biscuits with cheddar cheese, fried eggs and sausage gravy. This was very good. Also had a single pancake on the side, flavor was good but unfortunately the pancake was cold and cooked too much on one side. Coffee was good. Service was efficient.

As soon as we walked in, we realize this was definitely the place to eat. There were so many people coming out with takeout containers, and the atmosphere was friendly and inviting. We stepped in the door with the staff greeting us within seconds. It was seat yourself, which we didn't have an issue with and found a nice booth aside the Bride and Groom skeletons. Sunday Brunch menu was well presented and had we known or taken into account customers leaving with take out containers we saw on the way in we may have ordered differently. In any case this place was awesome! The chip beef gravy over the square biscuits was incredible and the price point was unbelievable. The biscuits were soft and flaky, and the gravy, warm, delicious, and plenty of it, covering the whole plate. In addition to that I ordered one pumpkin pancake and it was the largest pancake I have ever seen served up and I'm glad I did not order two because I thought I was going to get one about the size of a dessert plate not the size of a charger plate. It was served up with its own ginger syrup which I added a little bit, in addition to their sugar-free syrup. The pancake tasted like it was a traditional slice of pumpkin pie served up in pancake form. It's highly, HIGHLY recommended. My wife ordered the biscuits with sausage, gravy and fried eggs with a side of potatoes, and she ordered a plain pancake. It was equally as delicious, her biscuits were just as fluffy and delicious, and the sausage gravy was out of this world with enough to cover the biscuits and the fried egg with plenty extra to go around. The fried potatoes were overflowing on a dessert sized plate, and more than enough for both of us to share, and she absolutely loved her pancake and was equally in awe as to the size as it was presented to us on a very large plate as well. We ordered water and coffee and both were refilled continually by our very friendly server. I loved that the coffee was served in a clear glass coffee cup. Very nice touch. We will be stopping here again in the future and will try out lunch as well. This is certainly "The Filling Station"!

Very good breakfast... eggs were good..:: the biscuits were some of the best i prob ever had and made from scratch. The sausage patty was good and tasted homemade and not like a frozen patty, and the pancakes were pretty damn good, afforadable prices and good service would def go again better than the places in Keyser wv

Stopped here recently for some breakfast. I have checked in and eaten here several times over the years but haven't sat down to write a review. First thing is first - you may miss it if you aren't looking as it is located in one-half of a building. There are booths and tables for seating and overall it seems like the same crew roll in there everyday. I ordered an egg cheese and ham omelette, adding one pancake as their pancakes on the menu being as big as my head. And they are. Omelette was good- but the ham wasn't cut that much and there were huge chucks that make eating it very difficult as the ham chunks just would separate and I. Couldn't get a jam-packed bite wver. However, it tasted well. The pancake was traditional and was very good. However, the syrup came in little cups with lids and was more of a traditional maple sweet syrup rather than the dark store bought type with the big name brands. Don't want to be picky but I didn't like the syrup. Overall very good. Would like to come back and have it again.

We stopped here for dinner about a week ago on a road trip. Good home-cooked food. Friendly, simple, casual, with dark wood decor.

The night that I stopped in there were three other couples dining, which I understand were all regulars because of the great food. I can't disagree with them. I had French onion soup that had the perfect balance of flavor and texture. I decided in the vegetable lasagna. Delicious indeed. I enjoyed my meal while I engaged in a super awkward conversation with a curious couple trying to figure out why I was visiting Cumberland

Got duck and filet and both were cooked as requested and to perfection with a delicious char, a juicy center, and perfect salt and seasoning. Sides were packed with flavor as well. Ordered a cheese board appetizer as well and they reopened my eyes to blue cheese, peppers, espresso beans, and olives. Very intimate setting, maybe 8 tables max with one server (maybe two and I missed) but I'd plan at least a couple hours for your dining experience, especially if you plan to get appetizers or dessert. Tips: Gotta check out their FB page for the weekly hours and menu as they close some weekends for catering. BYOB, no corking fee! No need to bring corkscrew, they cork it free of charge.

We called and they said no reservations. We walked over and noticed there are NO lights in the parking lot. This made it feel dangerous with cars driving around and very unsafe. After a few minute wait we were seated. Our waitress was either new or off her game that day. Our drink order eas taken fast, but that's where the positives end. She didn't come back for almost 20 minutes ro take our order. Another table that came in after us already had their food before we even ordered! The rest of the night was like this. Someone at a nearby table went to the bar for another beer because she took so long with them too. We were ready to leave but our waitress was nowhere to be found for almost half an hour. By that point the restaurant was practically empty. It's almost like she forgot we were still there. The food was decent, but a little overpriced for what it was. I ordered bbq while my wife had the rotisserie chicken. I thought it was a little bland. I overheard our waitress say they often have people come in who don't want to wait at the other steakhouse nearby. I would say change your plans to something else. You'll be thankful you did.
