I booked an appointment for my daughter and myself for mani/pedis a week prior. My daughter was leaving for her honeymoon the day after. When we got there it was eerily quiet. We buzzed to get in. There was only one tech there. A very nice and accommodating black woman. She started us on our pedicures going from me to my daughter until someone showed up a half hour later. My tech was very friendly and good. A great leg massage. My daughter's tech, Kim, was on the phone talking in another language. Kim rushed through the manicure (my daughter was done with both before I was finished with the pedicure). Kim stood at the checkout to make sure she got her share. As it was, my daughter's gel nails did not set and were damaged by the time she got home. Kim I rate a 1 star and the young black woman a 5 star. read more

I got an acrylic set done here. I had previously booked at top nails and was sent here. The set was nice, I didn't get what I had requested but it was not the techs fault. They did not have any color I asked for, I had asked for 7 different colors and none of them were in stock. I wanted an airbrush nail and they didn't have an airbrush machine. They didn't have any of the accessories or materials needed for my set. I was charged $100 for my set only reason I paid that and tipped $20 is because my tech Jada really took the time to try and accommodate me based on the materials she had. The only reason they get 3 stars is because Jada did a good job at shaping my nails and trying to accommodate me, if it wasn't for her I would've rated this place 1 star. They had some boring music when I went in, the location is in a sketchy part of town. I definitely won't be back, but if you do end up going I would book with Jada. read more

I made an appointment to get a fill, and when the woman started my pedicure the person who did the film showed up after sometime and then said she didn't have time to do it and left. This is my first time every going into a nail establishment. My feet were out of control, my heels were hurting and I had sore big toes. I needed instant relief. Upon arriving, I was greeted and seated within 10 min. Not to bad without a appointment. I brought a friend with me.. I couldn't find this place online when I googled nail shops near me, so I decided to cruise around the neighborhood and shop with mom n pop. They looked good at first, but not even 4 days later, they started lifting. Within a week, half my nails had lifted to the point that I had to pop them off. Terrible customer service!! I called ahead of time to make sure there was a seat available. I walk in there's two ppl working. The guy working in the front chair asked "what you want done?". I said a full set. Both workers are still working on someone else. I wait patiently in the chair, minutes go by they're done doing nails. I asked "who was going to do mine?." I haven't had my nails done in quite some some time but we were going out of town so I figured I why not go all out?. Jeni or Jenny, if you will, has been my nail tech for well over 5 yrs. She gets down from the full sets, to the pedicures, to the lashes, to the eyebrow waxing, the list goes on and on. I've never had a poor experience with City Nails. Eva is really, really great for pedicures. Although, Jeni accepts walk-ins, your best bet is to schedule an appointment because she is so great that she's usually always booked. My designs are always so intricate, so I spend between 50 - 65 for my full sets, but that's just me. Nice nails isn't cheap and cheap nails isn't nice. I can bring Jeni any design and I know I'll leave City Nails with a huge smile on my face. I have to agree with Ebony, City Nails it not in the best neighborhood, but I can assure you that your time and money will not be wasted. I would wish you luck, but you won't need it. :) read more

Jenny is amazing at doing nails!! She's very careful, and she's a perfectionist, so my nails always turn out perfectly.
