Came here for the first time a little while back as a walk in. They took us immediately and started taking care of us. I just had a pedi my wife had a mani-pedi. Neither of us was thrilled with the treatment but speaking for my self the lady who I had was a bit on the rough side, I wondered why mu nails hurt ( not much but more than normal). When I got home they all hurt and when I looked at them she had cut them so far back I thought she'd done a total nail removal!. My nails grow pretty fast but this is 8 weeks later and they're just now getting back to normal. They don't need trimming for at least another month. My new year's resolution? Self care in 2020. First off, I'm picky. Like really, really picky. That is probably why I have given up on my search for a nail salon that lives up to my expectations and I have been doing my gel nails at home. A friend at work mentioned that she goes to Mimi&Vy and decided to give it a try. This place lived up to expectations on my manicure. No nail pet peeves here: all sides of my nails were painted and my cuticles were well taken cared of. I'm in love. I don't remember the name of my manicurist but she at the middle station. I showed her a picture of what color combo that I was looking for and she was able to match it easily. My gel mani even came with a paraffin wax dip. It was a nice touch. A lot of colors to choose from! I even brought my mom with me on one of my visits and she had a great time. My mom has never been one to get her nails done and I thought that this would be a great way to show her that self care life. Her acrylics turned out just how she wanted them-- natural and short. Simple and Sweet I came here as part of a bachelorette (yes you read that right) party and everyone was super friendly. We were able to rent out the whole place which made it more intimate for all of us. Since I heard pedicures were life changing that was what i decided to do. Life changing it was! My feet felt extremely supple and my nails looked extra fire. Having a massage chair just added to the experience. From what the other bridesmaids said, there were a lot of colors that were rare to see at other spa places that they had here. They all also loved their experience here. Came here last Sunday with my friend. Very clean and appealing at first sight. Everyone greeted us as soon as we walked in, explained what we wanted and we were seen right then and there. I had a fairly new tech, but she did an AMAZING job. She made conversation and repeatedly offered me something to drink. She was very personable and made sure to ask if I was doing alright and that she wasn't causing me any discomfort. After every few nails she'd double check with me if I approved of the shape and length. I really appreciate the little attention to details like that that other salons I've been to lack. In the end other techs walked by and complimented my nails but my tech said I chose everything and she simply did what she was told, very humbling. I absolutely love her! For years now I've been looking for a nail place that was able to do it all without complaining, and this is definitely it! Mimi and Vy are so fun to be around, me and my mother in law had a great time! Not only that but their services went above and beyond! A couple weeks ago my nails where destroyed by acrylics at another not so creditable nail salon, but Vy was able to fix them and make them look 10X better! Even my mother in law was impressed and she never likes going to get her nails done! The yogurt and orange peel pedicure was the most refreshing pedicure I've ever had! It made my skin feel so smooth and rejuvenated, I will definitely be getting it again in the future. The best part is the wide variety of color and options available. We called in the morning to make a pedicure only and mani-pedi appt for two people later the same day. The girl on the phone was very nice and told me schedules, pricing, etc. When we arrived at our time, it was a cute little shop, mostly empty and pretty clean. We chose colors and were immediately sat in pedi chairs, massages going. My tech, Nina, was very sweet and did a great job on my fingers and toes. The other tech who worked on my mom was also very nice and worked gently around a foot injury and did a great job as well Not local here, but if I come through here again I'll definitely try to come back. Used to love this place but it's changing with time. Perhaps they still ok with fake nails but they cannot do a good manicure if life depends on it. Used so much drying chemicals on my cuticle that it flaked the skin around the nail. All nail polish bottles are empty and diluted with alcohol, they look old and gross. Had to repaint nails three times cuz nail polish wouldn't lay evenly. The station where you would dry the nails is covered with grime and gunk - no way I'm placing my hands there Here's the pic of the finish job - the lady didn't even bother putting lotion on cuticles or cleaning the smudges of polish cuz she was in such a hurry.
