This place is delightful! Located right in the Covington square the area offers plenty of street parking. The ambiance is so nice! The restaurant is so well decorated. It's versatile and appropriate for a date night or a business dinner. I went on a Wednesday evening and it wasn't too packed. I initially sat at the bar where I had the gin pear cocktail. It was outstanding! Then I sat at the restaurant area where I ordered the catfish with broccolini and sweet potato pure, two of the guests ordered the salmon and loved it and one of the guests ordered the daily special which was the meatloaf and it looked delicious (a bit on the heavier side side) for after dinner drink I had an espresso martini and it did not disappoint. Service was also outstanding. Servers and bartenders were knowledgeable and attentive. Worth every penny!

This was my first time here and I will 10000% come back! The service was phenomenal and our waitress Aneissia was amazing. Super friendly and sweet. Originally we were seated next to a big party and asked to move (it was pretty empty) and they were more than accommodating. The service was 10/10.. which was surprising because I was literally in sweatpants and thought they would deny us. For drinks we got a bottle of wine (you can take the bottle home if you don't finish it) and I loved that! They gave complimentary corn bread and butter.. it was a little dry for my liking and also super tiny lol. I got the fried chicken and it was delicious! The green beans and potato puree complimented the dish perfectly. I did add some hot sauce and my mouth is watering just thinking about it again lol We got a side of fries which came with this bleu cheese sauce. SO SO SO GOOD! And this is coming from someone who HATES bleu cheese. The ambience was great! Definitely a great spot for a date night or girls night out. We had the best time!

I've been a long time patron of this fabulous establishment- I take my out of town guests here, it's wonderful each and every time. (Especially the service! Thank you Noah!) However, I'm a little concerned by the recent disappearance of several of my favorite menu items that I would assume were popular with other guests, as well. The Brussel Sprouts!? Risotto?! Scallops?! All gone. It honestly makes me question if I want to come back so often in the future; I was so sad tonight when I saw the absence of the Brussels. (SO good!) I worked in the restaurant industry in various capacities for many years, and I get that there are multiple factors involved in menu item selection, so I'm not judging at all. I guess I'm just disappointed that my favorites are all gone. Consider bringing them back?? Thank you so much!

We love to come in and sit at the bar and enjoy the atmosphere, I wished they would put one in our town of Monticello. It's a low key classy place that has nice adult beverages and chef prepared food. They often change the menu so it's a good surprise everytime. The prices can be on the upper end for the location but that also keeps the environment low key. We have been in 6-7 times and it has not disappointed yet. The staff is friendly and attentive. If you are looking to get out and enjoy a good meal that's not the norm you need to try City Pharmacy!

Oysters were fresh and cold, great items to add to them for some additional flavor. The wedge salad was very refreshing and flavorful. The shrimp and grits was yummy and well cooked. The silver pineapple was well balanced but a bit small in its size which was the only disappointment of the meal. Highly recommend and great service! Ambiance was modern with touches of vintage - cute furtive and bar. Great playlist also! I would definitely stop in and if I come back to Covington I'll be back for sure!

Perfect service in a quaint location. The peel and eat shrimp were deveined which was a nice touch. Soft shell crab was a special item and a solid choice. Trout and tortellini were both enjoyed by our group. We made reservation and are glad we did I.

Everyone in the family enjoyed their meals, the presentation was on point. The Wait for the food was a little long, but understandable because the restaurant was crowded.

Came to celebrate my birthday. Both my husband and I ordered the filet. His came out perfect MED RARE however my MED came out as you can see. Server did have the kitchen re make it however then it can't out RARE. After the second time back to the kitchen it was perfect. scallops literally MELT in your mouth. Mash was the perfect consistency. I was also happy they were out of the usual carrots because I love asparagus. I would return for scallops and to try their oysters. But if I want steak I'll probably go to a steakhouse.

Tonight we made our way to The Social Goat in Covington, Georgia. Before we even get to the food,…read morethis is the kind of restaurant that has a personality all its own. Goat-themed artwork is scattered throughout the restaurant, including some fun paintings that immediately caught our attention. The atmosphere feels more like a cozy tavern than a traditional taco restaurant, with dark wood, booths, and a comfortable setting that invites you to settle in and stay awhile. One interesting piece of local history is the building itself. We learned that in 1906, this building housed an antique market. Think about that for a moment. If someone was selling antiques here in 1906, some of those "antiques" might have been from the 1800s. More than a century later, the building is still serving visitors, although these days the focus is tacos rather than antiques. Covington itself is worth mentioning. The city has become known as Georgia's Hollywood of the South, with more than 100 movies and television productions filmed here over the years. Fans of The Vampire Diaries and Sweet Magnolias will recognize many locations around town. If you're visiting the area, there is plenty to see before or after dinner. Our server for the evening was Jordan, who provided friendly service throughout the meal. The menu features eleven different taco varieties, which immediately created a dilemma. Narrowing the choices down to just three was not easy. We ultimately chose the Fried Fish Taco, the Philly Taco, and the Sesame Ribeye Taco. The tacos are available as a trio, allowing you to sample three different varieties on one platter. The meal also came with chips, salsa, and queso, making it easy to share and compare flavors. Let's start with the Fried Fish Taco because it ended up being my favorite of the three. The fish itself had excellent flavor and was cooked just right. The taco was topped with a sauce that brought a unique flavor to the experience, and the crunchy slaw added texture that worked beautifully with the fish. Every component contributed something to the overall bite. This was the taco that surprised me the most and ultimately earned the top spot in my personal ranking. The Philly Taco finished a very close second. If you're a fan of Philly cheesesteaks, you'll immediately understand the appeal. Loaded with shaved ribeye, peppers, onions, and cheese, it delivered exactly the flavors I was hoping for. It was rich, satisfying, and packed with flavor. Sometimes simple combinations work for a reason, and this taco proved that point. The Sesame Ribeye Taco was the most unique of the three. The sesame-soy flavor was bold and immediately noticeable. I enjoyed the flavor profile and appreciated that it took the taco in a different direction than what I typically experience. Rather than trying to imitate a traditional taco, it offered something distinct and memorable. Anyone looking for a creative twist on a taco will likely find this one especially interesting. One thing I appreciated about the trio platter was the opportunity to compare very different flavor profiles side by side. The Fried Fish Taco offered a balance of fish, sauce, and crunch. The Philly Taco delivered familiar comfort-food flavors. The Sesame Ribeye Taco brought a bold and unique flavor profile to the table. Each taco had its own personality, which made the comparison part of the fun. The chips were crisp, the salsa was fresh, and the queso provided a nice complement to the tacos. Combined with the trio platter, it was more than enough food for a satisfying meal. The Social Goat manages to be more than just a taco stop. Between the historic building, the goat-themed decor, the welcoming tavern atmosphere, and a menu filled with creative options, it offers an experience that stands out from the typical restaurant visit. If we return, and there is a good chance we will, there are still eight taco varieties left for us to investigate. The Social Goat Tavern 1115 Church Street Covington, GA 30014

The onion rings are top tier, the fried pickles are delicious, and the wings are great. The bar staff were B and Shanna. B was the best; tentative, kind and funny. She checked on us often as newbies. Shanna is the only reason this review didn't get 5 stars. She was cold, evasive and made it seem like she was bothered by us asking questions. It was our first time there. Once she was annoyed having to take our drink order, she never said another word to us. Asking her to change the TV felt like pulling teeth. Then B came in and saved the day. The food, karaoke and B made this an good time on a Friday night. Because of the atmosphere, the indoor smoking, and the chance of dealing with Shanna again, I'd pass on going in and order take out next time.
