We had a under the slab leak and I called and spoke to numerous plumbers. Max was the only one who took time on the phone to try to really understand our issue. He gave me a rough estimate of cost to break the slab and what he thought it might cost to fix the leak. We scheduled a time for him to come and break the slab. He was on time and gave us suggestions on how to fix our other plumbing issues. The breaking of the slab was more intense than we all expected but he kept to his quote that he provided over the phone! He fixed the leak on the hot water side and we thought we were all good! The next morning I called and he came back because the cold water line in the same area developed a leak as well. Max fixed it at no additional cost. I talked to Max for about 20 min on the phone, he was very helpful in trying to get the problem solved with home remedies. It's obvious 1st priority was fixing the issue, instead of making money for City Plumbing. I thought this is awesome, not to mention unusual. When the home remedy didn't work, he showed up within 2 hrs of my phone call... snaked the shower, had it fixed in 20 min. Max was so great - we had a clog in the laundry pipe and another plumber gave us a huge price quote - Max came over within a few hours he accessed the situation and was able to give us a better price. He came back first thing the next day and got the job done and was professional about it. He didn't leave a mess and got it done quickly. I just want to say Max is a great guy. Very expert in his work and very knowledgable. When our water heater broke, I called around to find someone. Most would charge to come out and take a look and that was even waiting a few days. Max came out, figured out the problem and explained to me the issues, the cost, and what needs to be done, at no charge for the consultation. We needed a new Water Heater. He came out a few days later to install the WH and worked very hard by himself to install it in the hot garage. He did an awesome job. He went above and beyond what most people would do in this suituation, super hot day, draining the old one, lifting it by himself, even adding new pipes that the previous plumbers did not put in, all at no additional charge. We really appreciate his work and will use him again when I need other plumbing issues solved. I really appreciate his committment to his customers. I've got a 1960 house with original (galvanized pipe) plumbing and had a leak in the pipe leading away from the hot water heater. Max came the same day, fixed that in about an hour; professional, courteous and friendly, and did a fine job. However, I discovered afterwards that when he'd replaced that pipe, whatever sediment was in the pipe leading to the back bathroom had gotten pushed further downstream and occluded the hot water line to the tub. I called Max back, he came out (again, same day) fixed that problem in less than an hour, and didn't charge me for the return visit, which I have to say was due to my old pipes and not a problem he caused. I typically don't write bad reviews. I thought about giving City Plumbing fewer stars but I'm still giving them the benefit of doubt. Background: we have a leak. I called one plumber and he couldn't figure out the source of the leak. Based on all the good reviews, I called CP. Tung came out and said we need to replace the entire shower/bath system in order to fix the leak. But he offered a temporary fix and said to call him if it doesn't take. It didn't take so we called. The response was not what we expected. Johnny now says they didn't warrant their work and won't be coming out. Our question (which I think is responsible): if the temporary fix didn't take, how do we know that Tung properly diagnose the problem? Response: we are telling you that that's the problem. Hmm.... Then a lot of attitude, accusing me of trying to make the leak their problem. Honestly, I still have the leak so it's still my problem, but since we paid you to fix the leak, even if "temporarily", shouldn't it be a little bit their problem to fix it? Apparently not, since the guy just HUNG UP on me when I complained about his tone and attitude. Needless to say, CP will NOT be our go-to plumbers. read more

Max to the rescue - he was our hero! It was a Saturday @ 7:30 AM. We heard a hissing sound in the house. We went to turn the water on and no water. Uh oh. We looked around and saw that the main water was gushing. I started looking online for available plumbers and Max was listed. He wasn't the first on the list but he had great reviews and was available. I called two other company's but they weren't open or didn't answer. I needed someone asap and Max answered on the 1st ring. Since the leak was coming from the Main line, he advised us to call the water company to see if it was the City's responsibility or ours. Turns out it was ours and we called him back. It was still only 8:30 AM and other company's were still not open. I needed a fix asap as I was hosting a party that day. I'm SOOO glad we did. He came out and went straight to work. He found the leak, which was from a tree root that hit the line. He not only fixed the issue but also cut more than was needed to ensure we didn't encounter the same problem in the future. He also gave us great advice on our water softener (not to use) and our water heater. He finished in a couple of hours and we were able to have our party. I highly recommend Max. He's very responsive, friendly and very fair on pricing. I will definitely be calling him back as I am also in need of re-piping the house. Something we were getting to, but now more urgently need.
