Came here for lunch with a coworker. They do not have a dedicated GF menu but have options on their menu that say GS. I ordered a lavender lemonade and it was delicious. I informed the server I have celiac /gluten allergy. I ordered the Thai noodle bowl. The server indicated it was cold and made sure I was good with that. The food came out with an allergy stick. The flavor and sauce were very good but it was hard to eat the noodles. The noodles didn't wrap around the fork neatly so had to cut them. Overall the food and service were great!

Stopped in for lunch really just hoping to find a place that I could sit solo and read while enjoying my food and a beverage. Overall, around 1:15 on Monday, City Works was pretty quiet. The hostess was quick to assist me and give me the choice of where I would like to sit. My server was attentive and thorough in checking in throughout my visit. City Works has a nice lunch and happy hour menu. Decent price for just the right size portion. I got the 1/2 pesto margherita flatbread and Caesar salad and found that neither of them were anything remarkable. Additionally, I intentionally brought ear plugs so I could focus on reading and even with your plugs in the music was still incredibly loud. Overall, city Works was a fine stop in my day, but definitely did not leave a lasting impression that will have me running back again.

We came to City Works (CW) after the theater as there aren't many places open later in the area. CW is basically a pub/bar good for a variety of drinks and bar food meals. We ordered the bbq chicken chopped salad and it was pretty good. The fish & chips only came with 2 small pieces of fish. It had a pretty good malt flavor in the batter. We felt they should have offered 3 pieces because the pieces were smaller. We had more fries than fish! Service was really good, the place was clean and parking was close by. I would definitely try them again but only for thier bar food ie; burgers, sandwiches, wings etc...

Cuban Sandwich

This is a pleasant enough place with a fairly diverse menu, but it's facing considerable competition from Lazy Dog and Yard House, both of which you can see from the parking lot. The staff is very friendly and the items we had a Scorpion Burger and a Cuban sandwich were both quite good. The only problem is it doesn't really stand out in an area flooded with competitors.

The space is really great, prefect for watching the game. My server was also amazing and checked in a few times to make sure everything was going well. I got a Caesar salad and fried chicken sandwich. The salad was good but the sandwich was really lackluster.

This is a large and spacious sports bar/restaurant with a rather nondescript name. So nondescript I know we've dined here before several times but my companion doesn't remember the experience. We didn't have a reservation but they seated us right away in a booth with good views of the numerous screens featuring March Madness games, as well as a large chalkboard with all of the beer selections. There's a tempting assortment of apps and we ordered the fried pickles which comes in a cute fryer basket with a dipping sauce. It came out hot from the fryer. This is how the City Works. My companion ordered a steak salad. I picked a Smokehouse burger which comes with pulled pork, provolone and onion rings (this is what sold me). I asked for it without the brioche bun and to substitute Brussels sprouts for the fries. Our server was ok with the subs because this is how the City Works Our food came out hot, tasted good, and looked appealing. Someone at another table thought it looked good too and asked what we ordered. The pulled pork on top of my burger was a little tough and the sprouts could have been cooked a little more but overall the food was good because this is how the City Works. Once we finished, our server quickly got the check, asked for payment and started clearing plates. I was expecting to be asked if I wanted dessert because I was leaning in that direction, but I was ok with going somewhere else. We were quickly in and out because this is how the City Works.

If you're interested in the axe throwing, enter on Milwaukee Avenue as the restaurant is in back and easier to get to from the rear. You can enter either way. I didn't get a chance to check out the axe throwing part during this visit so I won't discuss it. We met another couple and entered from the parking lot at the rear. When you walk in the vestibule, you can only enter or exit on the left as the right side corner of the restaurant is used for live music. On this occasion there was a singer/guitarist playing when we arrived. The other party was seated already so we made our way to the table. There are a bunch of tables and seats at the bar. And the place was packed. Clearly people knew the singer and were there in support. The speakers were turned up and it was hard to hear the conversation at the table. It's a nice menu and has a lot of options. This would be a good spot for our Burger Club, as there were a few options to choose between. In addition to the burgers, there were other handhelds, some nice looking entrees, salads, and nice starters. I opted for one of their burgers and asked for it medium rare. It was perfectly prepared and was quite delicious. My wife got a salad and added chicken. There was a ton of chicken in it. It looked nice and she said it was good. Our two companions ordered burgers and a chicken sandwich respectively and also commented on how good the food was. Our server was very attentive and was constantly refilling drinks before being asked, asked how we were doing, if the food was to our liking, and cleared up finished plates. By the way, their ranch is a dill ranch and is quite tasty. I'd give five stars, except it was extremely loud and hard to hear.

Axe throwing with more restaurant seating in the back with a bar cute aesthetic. They don't have steak sauce for the steak, but the garlic butter makes up for it. We also tried a couple of their Old Fashioneds, solid variety and really good. Definitely a good experience overall!

The food here was OK. Our group was provided a taco bar and cookies for dessert. The tortillas were not great, the texture was off. Everything was served buffet style which led to hot items being cold. Unfortunately the cookies were rock hard. Could break a tooth rock hard. Overall this is a great place for activities. It's nice that they offer food and drinks, but I wouldn't come here hungry.

We hosted a large kids laser tag party here and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience…read more Most of the laser tag vests were not functioning properly, and kids constantly had to come in and out of the game because their equipment stopped working mid-play. They really should not be hosting laser tag parties larger than 5 people with the current equipment situation. We were told they had 18 vests available, but only about 6-8 were actually working consistently at any given time. To their credit, they did extend the play time to try to accommodate the equipment issues. However, it didn't really solve the problem when so many kids still had long wait times and didn't get to participate fully. The staff member managing the event was defensive when concerns were raised and explained they were "in a transition stage" and expecting new equipment in July. She stated she was frustrated too, but we were the ones paying for a service/event that was not functioning as promised. I would not recommend this venue for a laser tag party until the equipment issues are fully resolved.

The bartender was kind and quick and took care of us sitting at the high tops when no one was at the bar. I had the Amber Ale and I would definitely recommend. I'm not a fan of the IPAs and I don't like the light beers much, so this ale is on my list as one of the best local beers around! The food that was catered was amazing. Great spinach dip, cheese bites, and the pizza was surprisingly delicious. It's rare that a bar pizza stands out, but I swear by this one. Loved the sausage and pepperoni and had my fair share before leaving. They even gave us take home containers so that I could take more home. All the employees here were kind and helpful. I definitely recommend you host an event here or come for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

The NA mojito was delicious. Food was expected for suburban pub fare but the menu having a vegetarian menu in a QR code was great for my friend. Fish and chips came with two very small pieces of cod. It was not worth the price point and did not have malt vinegar. The really appalling part of the visit was the raucously drunk businessmen at the end of the bar who were loudly bragging about putting their drunk friend into his jeep in front of the restaurant and letting him drive home. The men also took it upon themselves to touch my friend and I and get upset when we would not entertain his conversation and kept telling him to leave us alone and not touch women ever. The bartenders did nothing during this confrontation and continued to serve old fashioneds to these clearly inebriated men. Ambience? It's a suburban stand alone restaurant that looks like the granite counter section at a big box hardware store. There is a lot of potential for this place but we were sorely disappointed at the lack of care for safety for patrons and drivers.
