Pretty good food. It was late and we wanted something not fast food so we weren't expecting much but were pleasantly surprised. We ordered Burgers, shrimp tacos and chicken pot pie between the three of us and all were great. Only downside is service was a bit slow even though it wasn't busy. Friendly waitress, just would disappear for a long time so we'd be sitting and waiting for someone just to get drink refills, check, order, etc. lots of waiting. read more

Although at first sight Gus's grill may seem like a sports oriented place and maybe a little "divey" , it turned out to be a warm, quiet and friendly place. Our hostess/waitress/bartender whose name now escapes me, was excellent and very nice. I had the southwestern salad and my wife had the patty melt. Both were very good. We also had a cup of the chicken cordon blue soup which was surprisingly good! The fries that came with my wife's patty melt were crispy and delicious. read more

Perfect for date night or family dinners!! This review should've been written months ago. But, with two little kids and work, we haven't been going out to eat as much as we'd like. We finally made it to Gus' on our anniversary night. And in true Mike and Ashley fashion, we brought our kids with! We were promptly seated by the friendly staff. The menu options all looked delicious and the kids meals are a great deal: $7 for an entree, side, drink, and gelato. Ashley ordered the Southwest Chicken Salad and I got the Cajun Grilled Chicken Sandwich with fries ($10). Everything was delicious. The fries and house made potato chips were so good as well. To top off the meal, we were treated to two anniversary desserts: key lime pie and chocolate cake. Easily the best chocolate dessert I have ever eaten. Unbelievably good. The key lime pie was also delicious, but didn't compare to the chocolate cake. Extremely tasty food, friendly service, great prices, and close to home. We will be back!!! read more

Stopped at Gus' Grille for the first time this afternoon. Kim and the other fellow server were friendly and attentive. The menu and specials were extensive. The beef barley soup was delicious. We also had the Reuben and the Harvest Salad. Both items were also great tasting. Very generous portions! We will be going back soon. read more

Came here for lunch on a break from work. As soon as I got inside noticed it was nice and clean and updated interior. The staff greeted me with a smile and walked me to my table. Service was kind and prompt. The potato soup was delicious and the calamari was so tender and light. I saw that it had nice little seating area outside. Service was discombobulated and unorganized. I saw customers returning glasses to the bar themself and asking for refills because nobody waited on them and drinks that were made being returned. The fries were undercooked and raw. Fish tacos were plain and dressed with almost nothing but a slaw, needs quac, pico etc., the veggie burger was mooshy and undercooked. It's basically the same as the previous restaurants grill 43 which had what appears to be the same menu and the same service issues. I want to like this place but it's inconsistent and they lack a basic effort to improve. read more

Decent food, Kind of disappointing, Took my in-laws here because of the repetitive good service. Wife had an issue and had asked for plain but forgot to ask for no cheese on sandwich. Was returned the same piece of chicken with cheese residue as the cheese had been scraped off. Then found the bottom of the bun had mayonnaise on it, was returned a new bun with the same piece of cheesy residue chicken. Seems like it would have been easier to replace the whole sandwich once instead of the back and forth with the same piece of chicken in & out of the kitchen ‍ Probably be a while before & if I decide to go back read more

Food was decent I had onion rings and buffalo chicken wings that where pretty decent put I felt like I was over charged for 6 or 7 party wings for $14 and onion rings $9 for about 7 of those too and the customer service was horrible and I'm from out of town never will go back again if I come in town read more

Recently, we have had the opportunity to dine in and the service, food, and even music made for a most relaxing dinner. Ate here on 5/21/22 . Service was friendly and attentive. Wife had the Broccoli Salad and enjoyed it. I had the Gus Burger with fries and French Onion Soup. Burger was delicious as were the fries. My only criticism was the serving size of the French Union Soup. The bowl was about 5" in diameter and maybe 2" deep. Tasted good, but for $7.00 I'd expect a deeper bowl with more content. The draft beer I ordered was out of stock so I went with a bottle of Blue Moon. We eat quite often at the Silo and their French Onion Soup serving size is at least double the size and also comes with awesome Garlic Bread. read more

The side of veggies (broccoli and carrots) was undercooked (barely blanched) and the pieces were too large to eat easily. The music was hard rock and didn't go with the restaurant ambiance. Stopped in for Saturday lunch here yesterday: my first visit. BBQ chicken flatbread was tasty ... staff was friendly and efficient. Decent selection of wines by the glass. Low noise which made my parents happy -- it was easy to have a conversation! If you want local places to succeed, you have to visit. Had a group of ten getting together, they did an awesome job getting us in,and the sevice was delightful! Many of us had some type of burger...all were juicy and delish...the brussel sprout salad was to die for and the pot pie was amazing. Tried this place for lunch and the food was pretty bad. The burger came out which asked for no cheese on and then was sent back to the kitchen and magically a burger appeared without cheese so it was pretty clear they just scrapped the cheese of the already cooked burger. Their appetizer of the drunken shrimp (if that's what they called it) were just cocktail shrimp wrapped in bacon. Next let's go to cocktails. I simply order a coors lite and was informed they were out of it so ordered a vodka soda with a lemon/lime. I went to squeeze the lemon into my drink and noticed it was slimy and had clearly gone bad. For food in the area you can find a lot better than this place. We won't be back. read more

Tried this local spot, hoping for the best. I don't recommend it. The food is overpriced; the server was new and didn't know the menu. Ordered a mixed drink and waited 15 minutes - oh, the bartender had disappeared, so our new waitress made it - incorrectly! They put peppers in the cole slaw - who does that? Went to Gus' for a office holiday lunch on the 19th. I like how the place looks, and it seemed to be not as loud as it was when I reviewed it a couple years ago (under a different name). We had calamari and shrimp appetizers; both were wonderful. Everyone at the table ordered something else. I ordered the Brussels sprout salad. As I looked around, it seemed that everyone seemed happy with their selections, and the food looked quite attractive. Our waitress was efficient and on hand to refill glasses, etc. My only issue was my salad. I am a huge fan of barely cooked Brussels sprouts, but in that preparation, they have to be cut small enough to chew :( The knife at the table was not sharp enough to cut them smaller, so I ended up leaving half my salad on the plate; only the sprouts that had been well browned were able to be cut with the knife on hand. Anyway--a solid choice for good food--just maybe not the B. Sprout salad? read more

Today 8 of us went for Breakfast and it was a horrible experience. Our meals took 1 hour to arrive, were wrong, poorly prepared and was tasteless. No apologies, the small wait staff would not make eye contact with you, afraid they might have to answer the question of where our meals are. Smaller parties arrived after us and got their meals before us. How can you screw up breakfast??? Do yourself a favor and go someplace else for breakfast. The coffee was hot. read more
