There's really been no thought also to just the pure amounts of cheese and sauce that are also creating a swimming pool on the plate. We ordered the grilled octopus for appetizer and even that was swimming in olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette and too much of everything I think the food is OK but nothing fantastic. Meat N Melt is doing it right. We had the smash burger combo with a shake and fries. The burger was good! Well seasoned and well cooked. I don't love shredded lettuce, makes things messier than they need to be, next time I'd remove that. Also, I'd like some tomato but it's not an option here. The fries are very crispy and stayed that way, but they got cold fast. Somehow they didn't hold their initial temperature well but they were great while still hot. I had the biscoff shake, love that option. Good flavor, and the combo is a nice value at just a 5 dollar up-charge. Really this place reminds me of Steak N Shake before the whole franchise went down hill, and looking at the name maybe that's what they're going for. There are some cons here. The place doesn't have any character, despite plenty of seating, so no real reason to do anything but take out. Also, it was freezing in there on this visit. Too cold to eat inside at all, and if your getting a shake you don't want to be that cold already. Self order pad... I wish they wouldn't do this. It's self pickup at the counter so there's no service. The menu is bare bones, which is fine, but it's odd that you can't get toppings they offer on loaded fries on your burger as well. Cross utilize those products guys! A few more topping options would make a big difference honestly. And just from a business perspective, you could use a kids meal. All in all I plan to return, when I feel like a smash burger this will be go-to for now. The mango shake and loaded fries are calling my name as well.
