I am trying my best to support local businesses and this is unfortunate that I have to write this for Civilization because I was very hopeful. This was my first time ordering from Civilization and I ordered through Door Dash and I ordered at about 9:30am and did not receive my order until 11:30am. My Dasher told me they told him they were too busy and they prioritize phone and restaurants orders over Door Dash orders even though I ordered quite early. I would've understood my 15-30 mins late but a whole 2 hours?! They told him to come back twice after 10 minutes and each time he was told my order wasn't ready. Then once I finally received my order, they forgot to include another item. Thankfully I got my credit back through Door Dash but I will never ever buy from here again. The food was meh. I ordered a coffee, a BLT and a breakfast bowl that I never got to even try....my overall feeling about my sandiwch and coffee, it's average and subpar. read more

I think this placed used to be called something else - but I've been coming here periodically for the last year since I loved to the area, and each time it's been great. Today I went in for a quick takeout lunch. I ordered the Niçoise salad- wow! It was SO fresh, filling, and flavorful. It came with a soft boiled egg, fresh crunchy green beans, shaved fennel and radishes, and big shards of smoked trout. I'll be coming back again for the same salad in hopes that it's consistently good. I've also had the coffee here, and some of their breakfast entrees, and I haven't been disappointed. The service is polite and efficient, and there is some pleasant outdoor seating. I picked this restaurant for the reviews. But it did not meat standards. I ordered a BLT on a croissant. The bread was really thick. It could have been okay if the bread was soft and if there was not 1 piece of bacon for each side of the large croissant. I also got the strawberry and blueberry smoothie. That was good. Other orders were a bagel and a bacon and egg biscuit. The biscuit tasted like it was kept in the refrigerator and this also had 1 piece of bacon on each biscuit. Second time trying to come to this places says it's open on site but when we get here it's close ... very disappointed

So far, I'm hovering around a 2.75 rating. My first visit, I had the breakfast burrito, which wasn't my favorite. The bacon was fatty, undercooked and sparse and there was an over abundance of eggs. There were no textural differences (Like some crunchy tator tots or hash browns -- just soft potatoes) so the entire thing was soft and flavorless. The avocado toast on the other hand, was really good, but given the fact that I was eating it for breakfast, it was way too early for the side salad that came with it. I'd suggest some breakfast potatoes or a fruit salad option to make it more breakfast-like. read more

We ordered a steak & eggs and a breakfast bowl. Bear in mind I was at the tail end of a cold so my taste wasn't the best. My steak & eggs were good, a bit salty and dry but overall tastey. They were very generous with meat, but I believe I only got one egg. Her breakfast bowl came with a side of some sort of salsa which after getting my own kicked the meal up a notch. As for the breakfast bowl, she mentioned the bowl was decent but the salsa made the dish. Overall if you order something please ask for the salsa. GREAT PORTIONS. On the othe hand, their coffee is AMAZING! I got the honey vanilla latte. If you plan on visiting please try one. Would give three stars but the salsa and the coffee made me do it. read more

I've been to Civilization about 8 times and it continues to deliver. Their veggies and chicken are suuuper fresh, portions are large, and they don't skimp on the chicken either. Fave things on the menu: rice bowl, pesto chicken sandwich, and classic turkey sandwich. Whatever you get, FORK IT UP FOR A SIDE OF THEIR PESTO SAUCE, you won't regret it. I especially love the rice bowl because they do a different kind of roasted veggie every time (carrots and broccoli, cauliflower, or flavorful sauteed kale). It's so healthy and yummy.
