Very disappointing meal here. We ordered from the Chinese side of the menu only -- maybe the Japanese food would have been better. The meals were sub par . . . more like a food court meal. The exception was one of the noodle dishes (the singapore noodles), which was better but not great. read more

Sushi is average, but since its cheaper so can't expect that much. Service is good. Eveything is average or above except the chinese food. read more

This is one of the best Chinese/Japanese restaurant in the city. They have both a Chinese and Japanese menu. They have "healthy" menu options as well. They do not deliver but they are so worth the drive. The portion sizes are amazing. I always have leftovers. It's small on the inside but the ambience is great. This place is a gem! Great portions, great service, and great food all for an even better price! Don't let the shopping center fool you, the inside of the restaurant is nice! Forget everything you know about Chinese take out when I comes to this place. The servers were very kind and quick to refill drinks, but they never rushed us. My wife and I went for lunch, I got the hibachi chicken, and my wife got chicken lo mein. The chicken lo mein was served on a large square plate with a large portion of fried rice... It was very good, and for right around $5. My meal included a cup of miso soup, salad, steamed rice, and 4 California rolls! It was all excellent! This is the restaurant we have been looking for. Decent Chinese food. But they always screw up the order. Either over charging or forgetting entrees. Then they won't deliver it and make you come back to get a refund. Basically a scam. Great. Perhaps they should cook better food if they are going to be incompetent when putting together orders. If you do come in for your refund they will offer you the chicken entree they "found" after three hours of sitting "somewhere." Umm no you keep that, sweetheart. read more

The food was very good. Everyone in our party of 10 was pleased. While the dining room is small it can seat 40. We made reservations for 10 and there were 3 other larger parties and it didn't feel camped at all even with others patrons coming in for take out. I had the Singapore Mai Fun and it was great. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. It was hot outside and just about as hot inside. The hot and sour soup was very good. That made me hopeful for the cashew chicken and egg roll that were on the way. My partner got some noodle dish and it looked like little more than noodles and sparse veggies in a bowl. (She did say it was better the next day.) I asked for chili oil, which looked kind of old. I mean, I've never seen it almost dried up. I used a lot of that, lots of pepper, salt, soy sauce...absolutely nothing I did have it any flavor. I have never had a meal so bland. It's also very small, which isn't horrible when you don't have a loud old woman acting like she's high society with relatives who actually were visiting from China. On top of that, her numbskull husband (also loud) started accusing the server of bringing him the wrong dish. He didn't wait to find out it wasn't his before he started talking. We did, however, use the Yelp app to get a free California roll. It was ok, I guess. I defer opinions on things like that to my partner. She seemed to think it was ok. So. We won't be back. If I were to have Asian guests, I would not take them here. read more

The food is really good. The food is good, fresh, and light. The soups are also very good, without a ton of thickeners like many Chinese places use, and meal combinations are well priced - not huge portions but the prices are generally under 10 bucks for full meals with soups or egg rolls. I didn't give CJ Chan a five for two reasons. One, the place is a postage stamp and the seating doesn't match the popularity of the place at most lunch and dinner times. Two, the service frequently has glitches and even at off peak times you have to be assertive to get your needs attended to because the staff forgets things. This is my third time here. Again some of the best food around. Brought my 15yo son and 13yo daughter and both of them really enjoyed it. My son had the lunch sushi plate and said it was the best he has had in his young sushi eating life. My daughter the less adventurous one had the garlic chicken and cleaned her plate. I love sushi. So my boyfriend took me here for a dinner date once. The place is small but its neat and clean.. I order a speciality roll which doesn't fill me up but I order rice on the side. The sushi is sooooo Gooood. The best I've tried in the area. The workers dont speak pretty good English. So asking questions in regards to things on the menu is pretty hard. I ordered 2 shrimp and broccoli and 1 seafood delight. They gave me 3 shrimp and broccoli. When I got home and realized the error, I called them so I could get my order corrected. I found this place thanks fellow yelp members and were certainly not disappointed. We ordered carryout a week ago. The order was ready when we got there, the employees were friendly, and the inside was really nicely decorated and clean looking. I had General Tso's and spring rolls. I loved both of them. My girlfriend had Moo Goo Gai Pan and Crab Rangoon. She was a big fan of the Crab Rangoon but though the MooGoo needed a little more seasoning.
