I ordered the egg sandwich and unfortunately it was not good. The sandwich was small, not filled fully, and definitely didn't feel worth the price. When I ordered, the lady asked if I wanted everything in it and I said yes, but then she kept repeating "Are you sure you want the sprouts?" several times. I'm not sure why she kept asking, and I kept saying yes. When I looked at the menu behind me, the sandwich was listed at $8, but I was charged $10. For such a small sandwich, that extra cost made it feel even more disappointing. Sadly, between the size, quality, and price, I will not be going back.

I love the Yelp community precisely for this reason. I have driven by the complex CJ Deli is located for many years but have never seen it because it's pretty inconspicuous. I wouldn't have found it if it weren't for the great reviews I stumbled upon. I was craving a really good sandwich when it was raining last week, and decided to visit CJ Deli since it's nearby. I ordered a regular veggie sandwich on squaw bread with no cucumbers, a chicken and rice soup, and bottled water. The sandwich was spectacular. It tasted like real food. Nothing that's been frozen or has been sitting out for a while. It was all very fresh and tasty. I also appreciated that there was a bit of egg in the sandwich. I haven't come across a place that makes their veggie sandwich this way. The soup also tasted like it was made fresh for the day and nothing overly salty. They have hot sauce and other condiments at a table near where you pay. The staff were so sweet and they prepared everything so quickly. Inside was very clean and organized.

First time here for breakfast! Spoiler: It's as good as it is at lunch time! :) Service: Great, as always! Ambiance: Clean and friendly, as always! Ok, on to the important part! The burrito is a decent size, not mega, but not small either - this is perfect as the ingredients are all top notch! I ordered a ham and bacon, and there was plenty of both in the burrito along with some potato and some perfectly cooked egg - not overly scrambled like many places do, there was just the tiniest bit of running yolk in it which honestly added to it! The ham and bacon were both flavorful, and it was properly seasoned with a side of salsa. Honestly, give it a try, I thought it was great, and I bet you will also! :)

It's hard to believe a small place like this can pack such a giant punch! Our sandwiches & breakfast burrito were well-made & delicious! We ordered the Bacon & Egg Breakfast Burrito, Cold Sandwich Tuna on Rye & Specialty Sandwich Club on a French roll. So fresh, so generous & so good! The menu selection is vast with Hot & Cold sandwiches, salads, soups, teriyaki etc. You could eat here for a year & not have the same thing twice. Take your time to look over the menu as there's a lot to see. There are some tables if you'd like to stay & eat but they do a bustling Take - Out business as well. Very friendly service & pretty fast too but the meal doesn't looked rushed or slapped together. It's made with pride. The very definition of hole in the wall but that's the charm.

Local gem in an otherwise unassuming strip mall, CJ Deli offers sandwiches, quesadillas, breakfast burritos, and teriyaki bowls. Fast serving, friendly people, very popular as a lunch or to-go stop. The breakfast burritos and teriyaki bowls are cooked fresh and served hotter than the sun. It makes it taste right off the grill but beware of burning yourself. Sandwiches are also fresh and packed with ingredients. Prices are also very reasonable and no wonder it's so popular around here.

Razor thin roast beef, none in the sandwich end. Not worth anywhere near $10.75.

First time customers. We live here and pass by CJ's all the time. Our visit started with weird vibes from the woman taking the order. Then I saw her overcharge me on 2 sandwiches. $10.95 instead of $10.75 each. She didn't give me, or offer to give me a receipt!! What the hell? So....I did the math including tax just to make sure. The owner showed up while I was figuring this out, and I asked him if prices shown were current. He replied yes, then re-added up my order to check the total on the register. He ALSO rang up $10.95 each for the $10.75 sandwiches. That was shady twice in a row. I corrected him and then he happily refunded the difference. Meanwhile the lady was busy making our sandwiches and I hoped she wouldn't make them shitty since I called her out on the overcharge. (She never acknowledged or apologized for overcharging us.) A couple minutes later the owner handed us our order and we went home. The BLT was okay. The Hero had didn't have much meat, and was hugely underwhelming overall. My sandwich was the Roast Beef, which I personally felt was incredibly stingy on meat, with just a couple very thin strips in some places on one half, and none towards the end of the bread in the other. I've never had such a pathetic excuse for a roast beef sandwich. I felt as if the entire sandwich had maybe 3 oz of meat on it. On a scale of 0 to 10: Food - Portion sizes were very stingy for the price paid. Score is a 2 out of 10 Service: Wasnt a fan of getting overcharged and the weird awkward, unwelcoming vibes. Score is a 1 out of 10 Quality of ingredients: 7 out of 10 Value for price paid: 2 out of 10 Overall experience: Uncomfortable and awkwardly tense. 0 out of 10 A quick edit after I was finished: I just looked at the Yelp pictures. The food in the pics section looks better than anything we got. I wish I had something nice to say here but I don't. Thank you.

First time customer today and did not disappoint. Got the trilogy (turkey bacon avocado) on a French roll. The vegetables/meats were fresh and the bread was nice and soft. Portion was quite large for a regular size and very reasonably priced. It actually reminded me a lot of Jersey Mike's but we should support local businesses. I did add some oregano and red wine vinegar to my veggies which sort of replicates the Mike's way taste but overall it was a really good sandwich. Highly recommend and will be back. read more

First time here. Told the gentleman that took my order I was there due to the great Yelps! I assume he was the owner. The place was clean and only a couple other folks waiting. I ordered a regular size "Gary's Slice" on sourdough (Roast beast, Turkey, Avocado, and cheese) to go. Was told it would be about 5-10 minutes but it was ready in more like 2-3 minutes. I took it home to eat, and it was quite good, not great. I'd have liked more meat. But it was fresh, fast, and flavorful. I'd go back but would pay extra for extra meat. Enjoy! read more

The sandwich as always, wasn't bad at CJs. The issue I had was this- - there were 4 ladies working today at 12:30 noon. Two were making the sandwiches and the other two were watching the counter. I noticed no one was wearing food preparation gloves and everything was being prepared with their bare hands. Is that the new procedure now? Gloves no longer needed? If so, I will start going to Jersey Mike's moving forward. The thought of having my food prepped without gloves make me sick to my stomach. read more

We stopped in Saturday after walking for exercise. About a mile from our home one way. So, yummy, and inexpensive. Place clean! The lady taking our order was super nice. I had a Cobb salad. Very fresh. My husband had a chicken salad sandwich. He loved it too. We saw they have breakfast burritos. Breakfast sandwiches. Chicken and beef teriyaki. We will be back to try out more food items. The best deli sandwiches at an affordable price are at CJ Deli. It's always packed, but worth it. All the ingredients taste fresh and the bread is soft. The menu is extensive and had lots of non meat choices. My favorite is actually the turkey avocado. They also have a variety of breakfast items like breakfast burritos. I came here on a Tuesday afternoon to grab something quick and healthy for lunch! Instantly, I was warmly greeted by the man working! I got the regular chicken salad sandwhich with sqaw bread. My order came out really quick! This is the BEST chicken sandwich!! It's packed with protein and I loved the freshness from the greens! The cashews really completed the sandwhich with every bite! Purchased a turkey sandwich, chips & soda yesterday. No receipt given. Left my debit card in their card machine, sat down, waited for food. Saw middle aged man order after me. I was given sandwich left, discovered I left my card, called them, owner was rude, curt, abrupt, said 'no card here' practically hung up on me. Online banking showed my card was used again right after my purchase. Called CJ's back left a detailed message and phone number. No call back. Placed fraud alert on my account, cancelled card. Ordered the pastrami, it was very good but I would suggest just a bit more meat on the sandwich to make it more better. Sandwiches are fresh and tasty but the 15% mandatory tip for ordering at the counter is ridiculous. Tipping was not an option, it was mandatory in order to proceed with payment. Be prepared to pay 15% more than the menu prices. read more

Popular little sandwich shop on the corner of Ball & Walker! Been here twice now, and it really hits the spot! (I feel like I say this in a lot of reviews but it's true haha). My boo & I get 2 regular sandwiches and share since they are cut in half, and we like trying multiple options. The ingredients are fresh & tasty. It fills you up just enough without overdoing it! All sandwiches include mayo, tomato, and lettuce. You can add some toppings for free, such as pickles, peppercine, onions, jalapeno, olives, and other premium toppings for a fee. There is a white board on the wall with the full list! You can even make it a combo by adding chips & drink for $2.50, what a great deal :) The Vegetarian sandwich on squaw bread - Squaw bread is sweet and soft. This creamy sandwich is stacked with avocado, cucumber, sprouts, eggs (boiled/smashed), and carrots. *WARNING: as you bite into the delicious vegetarian sandwich, be careful of the avocado and egg squirting out onto the table. This comes from first hand experience. The Submarine on French roll - It ain't Jersey Mike's rosemary parmesan bread (iykyk), but it sure comes close! The bread may be different but the inside is almost the same with the ham, cappacolla, salami, mortadella, provolone, and Italian dressing (add onions, pickles, jalapeños, peppercines)... my fave sub from Jersey Mike's and now from CJ's Deli! I heard a lot of other people ordering the Submarine also, not just me, so you know it's a customer favorite for sure! They also have breakfast burritos/sandwiches, salads, and soups if you aren't feeling regular sandwiches. I'll probably be sticking with my 2 favorites every time cause they're so good and affordable!! The people/family who works there are really nice, too :) Plenty of parking in front or the back of the shop. read more

I need to stop what i was doing and write a review for this place. If I could give 100 starts I would. Lets start with the nice staff, super friendly and accommodating. 2nd the food. The sandwiches are great, all of them. The breakfast burrito is fantastic !! Like very very good. My son is obsessed with the teriyaki . This place is very affordable and the food is fresh. He gave us some amazing complimentary iced tea to take with us on our way. Before the end of our appointment he came over with our order and offered to refill the free drinks he gave us. Wow! I can't remember the last time I left a business so pleased. The food is even more impressive than the service. We ordered the BBQ Pork and the Chinese Sausage Banh Mi and enjoyed every bite. They helped him pick the right cut & optional if you want it seasoned or as is. There's a few potatoes, onions, and seasoning in the shelves. A great one stop shop option! (The Char crust brand is great.)

The noodles had a great chewy and bouncy texture and were coated in a savory spicy sesame sauce with just the right amount of spice. I liked that the flavors were bold without being overwhelming, and I found myself continuing to go back for more throughout the meal. Braised Beef Noodle Soup. As someone who loves soup dishes, this immediately stood out to me. The broth was rich and comforting, and the braised beef was tender and packed with flavor. Combined with the chewy noodles, it made for a hearty and satisfying dish. For both dishes, I was pleasantly surprised at how bouncy and chewy the noodles were. I would want to try the other noodles dishes on the menu as well. We also ordered the Xiao Long Bao and each dumpling was filled with a flavorful pork filling and a solid amount of soup. There's definitely a reason why this spot is called JUICY dumpling factory. The Spicy Pork Wontons were soft and packed with pork, while the chili oil sauce added a savory kick without being overly spicy. I'm not too good with spice, but this was not that spicy for me. The Spare Ribs with Mashed Garlic had a bold garlic flavor that paired well with the tender pork. If you're a garlic lover, this is definitely worth ordering. The meat was very bony so make sure to be careful! The garlic added a lot of flavor without completely overpowering the meat. The Shrimp Fried Rice was a solid side dish that complemented everything else we ordered. The rice had a nice wok flavor, wasn't greasy, and came with a generous amount of shrimp. A surprising must order was the Cucumber Salad which was light, refreshing, and crunchy. Lot of the other foods were on the oily end, so having a refreshing cucumber salad definitely hit the spot. Staff: All of the staff members were friendly! They were very knowledgeable about each of the menu items. Ambiance: Indoor and outdoor seating available. A good amount of parking in the parking lot that is shared with other shops in the plaza.

I decided to give this place a try after seeing great reviews on Yelp and Google, and I'm really glad I did. I ordered the chicken teriyaki plate and a soup, and both were very delicious. The chicken teriyaki was tender and juicy, and the sauce was perfectly balanced--not too sweet. The plate also came with a salad and fruit, and I appreciated the fresh, juicy grapes and the perfectly ripe watermelon. I also liked the salad dressing! As for the soup, I think it was chicken noodle soup. Normally, I'm not a fan of a chicken noodle type of soup, but I found this one incredibly flavorful. The broth was hearty and well-seasoned. I'm pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food for this price. I will definitely visit again! read more

The two workers at CJ Deli are very nice and friendly, so it is simple to have a conversation with them. Also, the sandwiches are amazing! There are so many different types of sandwiches you can buy at this small restaurant, and they are all amazing. I've never tried all of them, but I've tried about at least 10. It is never crowded here, so you can sometimes just go and order right away and get your food right away with their great service. I would really recommend this restaurant for anyone that is looking for a place to go out and eat. read more
