Came to celebrate my moms bday! We had an amazing time at brunch on a Sunday. Sadly we did have to wait an extra 30 mins, even though we had reservations but the servers totally made up for it! Managing a table that size is not easy, but he handled everything with professionalism, patience, and a great attitude. Thomas was attentive, kept everything organized, and made sure everyone had what they needed. What stood out the most was his positive personality, he kept everyone smiling and laughing throughout the meal and made our gathering even more enjoyable. Excellent service from start to finish. Oh my goodness! We were craving Mexican food, so we decided to stop by El Torito. What a chaotic experience it turned out to be! Our server was friendly, but he took our drink order and vanished for a whopping 20 minutes. When he finally returned, he brought our drinks but left our chips, salsa, and guacamole behind. After another 20 minutes, my husband suggested we move to the bar since we noticed people were getting their orders quicker. Finally, our server found us seated at the bar. After another 40 minutes of waiting, he apologized profusely and said, "Oh no, I forgot your chips! I'll be right back." Why bring them now after we've been waiting for so long? To make matters worse, we ordered the shrimp fajitas, and they were absolutely dreadful. The shrimp was slimy and tasteless, while the beans and rice were the only redeeming qualities. While they do have a great happy hour with excellent drinks, the service was atrocious. After spending $112.00, I wouldn't be returning to El Torito anytime soon. read more

Our 4th time here for brunch. It is always packed but seems to be understaffed. Waiter showed up once, didn't mention our mimosa was part of our brunch but offered other alcoholic drinks. I asked for a mimosa for my wife and me and he brought only one at the end of our meal. He never came back to check up on us or ring up our check so we had to go to another waiter and ask but still no one brought our check. After 10+ mins, I got up and went to the waiter to grab the check. I couldn't get out any earlier cause the mariachi band blocked us in but at least they were entertaining. Carolina was the most amazing sweet server we've ever had at this location! She was so sweet, so polite constantly was coming to our table checking on us. She really did make the difference. Today I went to have a drink and dinner for my wives birthday. Since it was happy hour we sat at the bar. Our waiter was Jose C. Jose was very attentive and very hard working. He got everything right the 1st time and keep in mind he didn't write anything down. All memory. Great job! What impressed me was that he was not only in charge of taking care of customers at the Bar but also at all the surrounding tables too. So he was a waiter AND a bartender!!!! He also checked in on us several times to make sure we were ok! He is a matured man and I am very envious of his work ethics and ability to multitask. Very impressive! We come to this location for brunch often, usually on Sundays. This was our first Saturday brunch. Julio, our server, was incredible--very understanding when my daughter didn't want anything from the Saturday brunch menu and kindly brought out a kids menu for her. The breakfast brunch is never disappointing. That said, the Saturday brunch does feel a bit more limited compared to their Sunday brunch offerings. I would give less for food but think it was my fault not to guess interpretation bof what a green chili verde is. I was anticipating a dish with chopped pork (or beef) with a sauce similar to green chili salsa. What I got was similar to dried out strips of meat topped with what they call green chili's). We visited during lunch and they had the weekday (M-F) lunch buffet for $19.99 per person or their regular menu. We opted for the Pick Your Own Combo 2 items for $19.50 or 3 items for $21.50! Great deals for very generous portions. The food came out in about 10 minutes and everything was delicious. The only reason why I'm giving a 4 out of 5 stars is because the rice was a bit dry and the chile relleno batter was salty. Other than that, everything was great! AWESOME FOOD. Prices were a little high, but the quality and quantity of the food justified it. The chips and salsa (complimentary) are wonderful, the servers were fast, attentive and accurate. The seating was comfortable and the place had a nice, old Spanish vibe. My wife has the birria tacos and loved them, my daughter ate up all the rice and I had the grande sampler. It was all delicious, the nachos were crispy, toppings were plentiful and the chicken tenders were awesome. I don't know how Mexican places always get bomb tenders. You should come here. read more

Went last night for dinner. I didn't take any pictures but the food was decent. Not great. I've been going to El Torito for 20 years & unfortunately the portion sizes are small now. Based on that, food is TERRIBLY overpriced. The service was ok & We got our food in a timely manner. The server was nice. The lighting inside the restaurant is way too dark. Had to use my phone camera light to read my menu. It's like romantic mood lighting but without the Romance. The biggest issue I had with El Torito is that they add what's called a "Surcharge" to your bill ( I added picture of check). I questioned it & the server said "it's to support minimum wage & because the food is made from "scratch". Not a very good explanation, but just know that you can have the manager take that off. I spoke to the manager & she took the surcharge off. Very disappointing that they don't have the common courtesy to at least let patrons know that they're adding an optional fee to their bill. Very deceiving. Maybe if their portion sizes were larger, I'd consider the extra fee. read more

Restaurant had a few parties seated and the lunch buffet going on. We chose to do the sit down menu. My children got kid menus but no crayons.
