Ordered some food to-go and I was impressed!! Ever since I moved to OC from LA, I miss some good Chinese food or Hong Kong style café. I've been craving beef rolls from 101 Noodle Express in Alhambra (IFKYK), this one is just as good except it's missing the green "sauce" from 101 Noodles that I love. But the beef rolls here definitely satisfied my cravings, I added my own chili oil on them and they were so good! We also loved the green beans and sweet n sour ribs. I loved that the food was not too salty nor too sweet. Some times sweet n sour ribs are too sweet, but they did it just right here. Same goes for the beef rolls, some places add too much hoisin sauce so the rolls are too sweet. It was perfect here! Service was good, staff was friendly even though I ordered via phone. Food was ready on time and was still warm by the time I brought it home. For a Monday night, it was a packed house. That's always a good since. Everyone seems to be enjoying their food. I've gone here a handful of times now, whether it's just me and a plus one or even a big group, and every time the food and service have been consistently great!! It can get busy on weekday afternoons, but they have an iPad near the entrance where you can join the waitlist and get a text when your table is ready, which is super convenient since you can wait elsewhere. The service has always been amazing. I've had different servers each visit, and every one has been kind and attentive. We never had to wait long for drink refills, napkins, or anything we needed. The food is so good! I've seen ppl compare to DTF but the food style is similiar to restaurants like northern cafe. The string beans are a must. They are perfectly fried with great garlic flavor. Their beef rolls are also really good. The diced chicken is another favorite because it's not too oily and the meat to batter ratio is perfect. This place has an open kitchen where you can literally see the whole process from fresh dough being rolled out to each dumpling carefully folded by hand. Stopped in for lunch and Juicy Dumpling Factory absolutely earned a spot in our regular rotation. Plenty of shared parking, lots of indoor and outdoor seating, and a clean, busy atmosphere that made the place feel like a hit. Came here on a Friday night with a few friends. It was a bit crowded, but we were able to put our names down on the waitlist up at the front. We probably waiting about 30 minutes or so and was finally called to get seated. Overall, we had a really great experience. It was all of our first time being there so the server was able to answer all the questions we had about the menu and how to order. Food came out fairly quickly as well. Food: We ordered the Juicy Pork Dumplings, Pork & Corn Pan Fried Dumplings, Pork Spicy Wonton, Beef Roll, and the Braised Beef Noodle Soup. They all tasted so good. It was all seasoned perfectly and the dumplings were so juicy! Make sure to pour some of that vinegar and chili oil on the side to boost up the flavors! Out of everything we tasted, we really enjoyed the Pork Spicy Wontons and the Beef Roll. Those were probably my top two picks. This is a popular chinese/dim sum spot in Cypress which often has a wait during dinner. They have an iPad to check in and they'll call you when your table is ready. You place your order on a piece of paper and mark which ones you want. I tried their beef roll, orange chicken, and dan dan noodles. The beef roll is my favorite and I love the sauce inside of it. The orange chicken is very saucy and garlicky, with lots of garlic chunks. The dan dan noodle was meaty and not too spicy but definitely has a kick. Noodles were al dente. The interior has a good mix of tables that can accommodate both small and larger groups. Service was friendly and efficient. We were given menus and water right away, and the staff explained the ordering process. You fill out a slip of paper and indicate the quantity for each item, which was simple and straightforward. Went here after church. It was a full house. Ordered all the food shown. Taste is always consistent. I have a problem with restaurants to have recommendations of what percentages to tip. I have no problem giving 20% tip for great service. This place doesn't really do much other than bring out the food. They leave the water so that we can fill up our own and never really check in on us otherwise. The reason for the three star is a shady Business practices. Look at my receipt and those amounts are based on the total including tip. We all know that tipping should be based on the food and beverage and not including tax cause that just insulates the bill. XLB here is GREAT omg. Soup, meat: perfectly seasoned. Wrapper: delicious, chewy, and doesn't tear! I ordered pickup at their HB location. I'd NEVER recommend ordering xlb anywhere as takeout but I was craving it close to closing time. It held up SO well compared to other places that offer XLB for pickup. I ordered a second time at Cypress to hope it wasn't a fluke (and also bc it was genuinely good), and it wasn't! What this small chain does, that SO many don't do especially for takeout, is that here they thoughtfully ensure the broth isn't super piping hot. Because of this, the wrapper remains chewy + when you bite into it, the soup is there instead of being completely wet and soaked up by the wrapper. Other notes: For takeout they give you chopsticks, napkins and vinegar - so remember to ask for chili oil & ginger if you expect those! read more

Parking was easy, the setting felt warm and cozy, and our server was genuinely friendly. Bonus points for the metal carafes of cold water. It's a small touch, but it's so nice. Also, our food came out fast and hot, which matters. Now, the star of the order: the beef roll. The noodles had that perfect wok-kissed texture, and the beef was tender without being overly saucy. Orange Chicken Crispy, bright, and tangy. Not overly sweet, which I appreciate. Just stopped by tonight and sad to say that there have been some small changes, but noticeable that were disappointing. Ordered the sweet and sour ribs as usual but this time, the bits of pork were small and each piece had small and large shards of bone. It was tiring trying to eat it and based on this new pork meat, I would not order it again. So different than before and very disappointing as it was one of my staple/favorite dishes. I also usually ask for a small dish of sesame oil and hoisin sauce. The guy that got it or me gave me grapeseed oil instead...truly disgusting. Also, back to the pork ribs, they forgot the order and we didn't get it until we were done with everything else. Sorry, worst experience so far. Not sure if I'd come back now since there now so many other good dumpling options. Spare Ribs W/Mashed Garlic $16.50 were delicious , super flavorful and tender! The garlic gave it a bold, savory kick without being overpowering. The spicy wontons were good too (4/5) but I prefer them a bit spicier - nothing the chili oil couldn't add. Juicy Dumpling Factory opened their second location in Cypress not to long ago, and it's already gaining popularity! They have a good variety of dishes, including stir-fried items, dumplings, rice, and noodles. Their juicy pork dumplings are frequently ordered, so I had to try these! They were good and had a decent amount of soup inside! We also got the Pork and Corn Pan-Fried Dumplings which has a really nice crispy skirt attached to it. This one of fun to eat and comes with a sauce for dipping. The Dan Dan Noodles were flavorful and not overly spicy but does have a little kick. A newer item on the menu is their Sweet and Sour Spare Ribs. The sauce was yummy! These come with the bone in, so be careful when eating them. I almost always order a String Bean dish whenever I get Chinese food, and these had a little crunch without being too soggy. For appetizers, the spring rolls were good, and the Potato String Shrimp were unique! I haven't had shrimp presented like this before! Very simple to minimal decor inside. We ordered: - BBQ Pork Buns: The dough itself was so soft and supple. Slight shame they skimped on the filling, but glad to have tried it. - Chicken Chow Mein: It is a bit oily, but that's chow mein in general. I appreciate that they put big chunks of chicken in the dish as opposed to other restaurants where the chicken are just slivers or overall underwhelming. - Kung Pao w/ Shrimp: Very saucy, and more on the savory/spice-side than sweet, thankfully, as opposed to how other restaurants serve them. - Beef Roll: One of my favorites. The dough was so flaky and the vegetables were a refreshing addition to the marinated beef. - Juicy Pork Dumplings: The wrapper isn't as delicate as I had hoped, and I wish the meat itself was a bit more seasoned. Though it wasn't as juicy as I had hoped, it satisfies that craving for Xiao long bao. - Shrimp, Pork, and Cabbage Dumplings: Hidden gem. The shrimp inside was plump and the vegetables inside added a nice texture. I wish there were more seafood options, but honestly, this place hit the spot for what it did serve. I think they would've tasted good with rice! Soup dumpling - they were flavorful and the skin wasn't too thick. The sizes were bigger than competitors I think Spicy wonton - tasty and on the sweeter side of a spicy wonton. I really enjoyed these because they were juicy and sizeable as well. I used some of this sauce for other dumplings that are not pictured Service - the service was a bit slow. I feel like the restaurant wasn't busy and there were plenty of workers. However, we didn't get water until midway through our meal and the food definitely took a minute to come out. Whenever we needed something, we weren't helped immediately. I don't expect quick service but considering how empty the restaurant was and how many workers were standing around at one time, I didn't think the wait would be as long as it was. I loved the combo of the chive shrimp and pork! - Cold clear noodle: I was pleasantly surprised how good this was! After trying the spicy pork dumplings I'm pretty sure everything would be delicious. Ordered on their site for pickup and headed back to the hotel. That place was packed at 7:30 on a Saturday night - patrons were waiting outside. I can see why. Well priced and tasty. No pics - just got back to the hotel and snarfed down the dumplings. Will be happy to go back if ever in the area again. Friendly, courteous staff too. Nice to see young folks like that. Dumplings were also very juicy, so watch out for the spurt! Pork was chopped medium with finely chopped cabbage. Another winner. This was our first visit here and it did not disappoint. Loved that it was walking distance from our Marriot hotel. We wrote our selections on the menu which the server reviewed with us before ordering. The food came out super fast even though it was busy. We had to be on a wait list. The first time I went here I would give 5 stars. Everything was delicious! The second time I came here I ordered to go and what a nightmare. Green beans super salty, shrimp fried rice way under seasoned, and the Dan Dan noodles were terrible! It was like a bland noodle soup lacking depth of flavor. When I came here the first time I thought it would be my go to spot when I don't want to deal with DTF lines. I guess was wrong. Whoever the chef on the line was tonight needs to be retrained!! Just because it's busy doesn't mean quality and taste go down! It should be consistent no matter what.
