Watching dumplings being made right in front of you hits different! This place has an open kitchen where you can literally see the whole process from fresh dough being rolled out to each dumpling carefully folded by hand. We tried a variety of dishes and everything tasted clean, fresh, and super satisfying. The dumplings were definitely the highlight. so juicy and flavorful. There's just something about knowing your food is made from scratch that makes it even better. Worth trying if you're in LA or Orange County

4.5 stars Good parking, clean restaurant. Go early (before 6pm) to avoid the dinner rush. We ordered a bunch of items to share family style. Prices are reasonable however the place isn't a Din Tai Fung dupe. Beef roll: Solid, pancake could be crispier but it hit the spot XLB: Skin is a bit thick but it is juicy. Fried rice: Standard fried rice. Nothing special. Chili wontons: Very good, highly recommend Green beans: Very salty, would not recommend (or if you order it ask for them to put light salt) They do have an outdoor patio but it doesn't look like they are serving outside.

Stopped in for lunch and Juicy Dumpling Factory absolutely earned a spot in our regular rotation. Plenty of shared parking, lots of indoor and outdoor seating, and a clean, busy atmosphere that made the place feel like a hit. We ordered the cold cucumber salad, juicy pork dumplings, pan fried chive shrimp and pork dumplings, pork spicy wontons, and the prime beef fried rice. Every dish came out strong, but the dumplings were the real showstoppers. Service was just as impressive. The whole staff worked like a team, but Karen was an absolute rockstar. She was everywhere at once making drinks, handling to-go orders, and still making sure everyone was taken care of. If you love dumplings, this place is a must.

Juicy Dumpling Factory is an unexpected delight. Loved every dish we ordered. Staff is super nice and attentive. The interior is on the smaller side but nice and clean. Chive, pork, shrimp dumplings: I thought these were soup dumplings, they're not. They're ok. Spare ribs with garlic: really good, perfect small bites Chow mein with beef: delicious chewy, flavorful noodles and beef Fried rice with shrimp: simple, but good All portions are perfect. Prices are reasonable. Would definitely come back.

Came here on a Friday night with a few friends. It was a bit crowded, but we were able to put our names down on the waitlist up at the front. We probably waiting about 30 minutes or so and was finally called to get seated. Overall, we had a really great experience. It was all of our first time being there so the server was able to answer all the questions we had about the menu and how to order. Food came out fairly quickly as well. Food: We ordered the Juicy Pork Dumplings, Pork & Corn Pan Fried Dumplings, Pork Spicy Wonton, Beef Roll, and the Braised Beef Noodle Soup. They all tasted so good. It was all seasoned perfectly and the dumplings were so juicy! Make sure to pour some of that vinegar and chili oil on the side to boost up the flavors! Out of everything we tasted, we really enjoyed the Pork Spicy Wontons and the Beef Roll. Those were probably my top two picks. There's plenty of parking available at the lot and lots of other restaurants to try so I think this was a great spot for them to be in. Looking forward to trying more items off their menu!

This is a popular chinese/dim sum spot in Cypress which often has a wait during dinner. They have an iPad to check in and they'll call you when your table is ready. You place your order on a piece of paper and mark which ones you want. I tried their beef roll, orange chicken, and dan dan noodles. The beef roll is my favorite and I love the sauce inside of it. The orange chicken is very saucy and garlicky, with lots of garlic chunks. The dan dan noodle was meaty and not too spicy but definitely has a kick. Noodles were al dente. Parking is plentiful around the plaza. Staff was also friendly.

Tried this place because my husband had it near his work with coworkers. Surprisingly really good. Ordered things that were similar to Din Tai Fung . And honestly, very similar. Not as flavorful but close enough. Serving size was great. We usually eat all or food at DTF but here, we had leftovers. It's also cheaper than Din Tai Fung. Will go back in the near future.

I decided to check this place out since it's been popping up everywhere lately. I came early on a Friday night, and since it wasn't very busy, I was seated almost immediately. The interior has a good mix of tables that can accommodate both small and larger groups. Service was friendly and efficient. We were given menus and water right away, and the staff explained the ordering process. You fill out a slip of paper and indicate the quantity for each item, which was simple and straightforward. I tried the braised beef noodle soup and cucumber salad and ordered a beef roll to go. Overall, the flavors were solid. The only downside was that the braised beef was a bit tougher than I expected. The cucumber salad was a standout--I'd definitely recommend ordering it. The beef roll was decent and similar to what you'd find at other spots, though it was slightly oily. Parking was easy, with both front and rear lots available.

Went here after church. It was a full house. Ordered all the food shown. Taste is always consistent. I have a problem with restaurants to have recommendations of what percentages to tip. I have no problem giving 20% tip for great service. This place doesn't really do much other than bring out the food. They leave the water so that we can fill up our own and never really check in on us otherwise. The reason for the three star is a shady Business practices. Look at my receipt and those amounts are based on the total including tip. We all know that tipping should be based on the food and beverage and not including tax cause that just insulates the bill. I will always call out small businesses that do this. This is shady practices.

Been here on multiple occasions and it always a good experience. The beef roll is probably one of my favorites I've had and it's really good just wish it was a little bigger lol. The dumplings are also really good. The service is always quick and attentive overall a really solid spot. The inside is also nice good spacing for seating.

Juicy Dumpling Factory isn't an exact Din Tai Fung dupe... but it gets the job done! Loved the garlic green beans which were perfectly cooked with a nice crunch! The fried rice was okay & the spicy wontons had a great kick of spicy flavor! The xiao long bao was just okay for me ... wrapper was a bit thick & not as juicy nothing beats DTF. We also tried the baby back ribs, which were really tasty & come as a full dish, not just an appetizer. Decent place for lunch or dinner, friendly atmosphere!

Family and I were at Disneyland and this was the closest we could get get to Dim Sum that we are used to from SF and the bay. Pretty solid choice, just not a ton of variety. The soup dumplings were alright, and the water pitchers were absolutely unhinged, and I mean that... Next time I visit the Magic Castle, if I'm craving dumplings I would have no issue coming back again, but I would def skip the riblets.. just sayin.

Service is great because I think the servers recognize my family but speaking Korean also helps. Unfortunately, I have witnessed some of the servers being kind of rude to other patrons. The servers are just always in a rush. But I always find myself going back whenever we have a big group. Don't expect a nice, clean, modern ambiance. Whenever I'm in Garden Grove, Korean and Vietnamese cuisine will always take precedence. However,…read moremy most recent trip pivoted from the norm, and Noodle Star became the destination. The end result? Reasonable prices, warm service, and very tasty food. Like so many Chinese restaurants, the name and theme is inherently confusing. Up until last year, the place was Harbor Garden and it's rebranded to Noodle Star ever since. The Chinese name ("川粵" aka "Chuan Yue") would imply there is a Sichuan + Cantonese component to the offerings, despite the words "teppanyaki" and handmade noodles (手工麵) noted on the exterior as well as on signs on the interior. Typically any restaurant that dabbles in multiple regional Chinese variations (Sichuan, Cantonese, Shanghainese, Lanzhou, etc.) is a huge flight risk. Surprisingly, it all worked out. All of my orders were from different regions of the country, starting with a Cantonese beef chow fun (乾炒牛河) that was delightfully smokey from the wok hei (#1) and the noodles and beef were silky and smooth. While the noodles aren't as wide as I would have liked, they were still 100% workable in the dish. The Taiwanese style popcorn chicken (鹽酥雞) was wonderfully fried and the chicken was still juicy on the inside. Their napa cabbage + shrimp + pork steamed dumplings (白菜豬肉蝦水餃) were pillowy soft and steamed perfectly. They were plump and not too doughy; which is very appropo for a northern Chinese dish. The biggest surprise may have come from the soup dumplings (小籠包), which had just the right amount of soup and a very delicate dumpling skin that was downright excellent. The service was kind, attentive, and very bilingual with Mandarin and English. Prices might feel high to non-Cali folks, but the spectrum is very much on the Socal average. (#2). Bathrooms were mostly clean and the seating options were plentiful; solid for large and small group action. Parking can be tough on the weekends since it's a strip mall. I already know that I'll be back. If I was able to order 4 regions and they all came out excellent (#3), I can only imagine how excellent the rest of the house special group of dishes will be. __________ (#1) "Essence of the wok" -- it's a thing.
