My parents were traveling and I was house sitting. On the very first night I locked myself out after taking the dog for a walk. I live pretty close to them so I went home and found CK Enterprises on Yelp. I called Fidelity Lock and they quoted $29 + labor and parts. I decided to pass. I called CK and spoke to Eddie and he quoted $60--$80 all included. I said ok. Cris showed up within 20 minutes. My parents house is a huge estate in Encino. Cris looks at the lock and says he can let me in but it would be $125. WTF??? This has happened before. My parents get quoted a price but when the service provider sees the property and the house the price goes up. I told Cris that Eddie quoted me $60--$80. He said he wouldn't do the work. It was getting late and I had to get the dog inside so I agreed. It took him less than 10 minutes of work. He then wanted to write my credit card number on a piece of paper and bill me. I don't think so, I told him I wanted to pay cash but only had $115 so he said he'd do me a favor and take it if I promised to write a review on YELP. The following day I called Eddie back to let him know what happened. He told me that they use independent contractors and really couldn't guarantee what they would charge. He told me some other mumbo jumbo about how these guys have to hustle for their $ and had to have special tools to do their job, but, by that time I had heard enough. I explained that as the consumer I felt I had been taken advantage of to which he replied that next time mention his name and he'd offer me a 10% discount. HUH? Next time? If he can't guarantee the price what good is a discount? What a bunch of crap. Ya they let me in but also ripped me off. Will never use them again. Buyer beware. read more

Came in to get some keys copied. One of my keys was a little bent. Instead of just bending it back, he hammered it and mashed it out of shape. He then told me it was worse than that before he got it and that I should just go get another lock. WHAT THE HECK?! read more

I called around 9am to schedule someone to be at my apartment by 5:45pm because I locked myself out on my way to work (I took a Lyft to work today). The locksmith showed up at 6:30pm and charged me $125 to unlock a simple door handle lock. It took him 10 seconds to get in. I feel robbed. Do not use this service!!!! read more

Lost keys at a show - my car stuck at North Hollywood Metro Station. Called AAA - around midnight and the locksmith quoted me ... get ready .. $400. Yup. Promptly said no, took a cab home and called CK Lock the next morning around 8 AM. I forgot his name, but I think he's the owner or a manager answered, quoted me $125 (yes that's 275 cheaper!) . As I didn't have a ride to NoHo, he came to pick me up, which he added to the bill $15 - I didn't mind at all - in fact I was happy to pay him for his services. He spent what I think is about 30 minutes of work getting the key made - it worked like a charm. 30 minutes of an experienced locksmith labor - for $140? Well worth it - great person too. read more

Did they do the job? Yeah. Were yet in time? Yeah. Were they professional? Nah. Dude was on his phone the entire time. Was rude... Just not very pleasant. Maybe it was a language thing. Who knows. They drilled out a lock and replaces it. It took him 20 minutes and they charges $215. Don't know if it's average. Probably should have read how to do it in YouTube and saved myself the money and aggravation. read more

Needed a quick key duplication done asap and they did it just right. Went into the store near opening time, was greeted immediately and helped. The whole duplication and transaction process probably took 3 minutes in total. To top it all off, it only cost me about $2. Great shop, would recommend highly for key duplication. Side note: It's easier to pay with cash because I believe there might have a been a fee for using card. read more

This company really earned the five stars. We had to have our carport door lock replaced. The job turned out to be custom and took much longer than expected due to us having an older style key system. It worked when he was done and we paid him. Then he realized something wasn't quite right and went to go get a different cylinder. He came back and finish the job. It was 1000% smooth & perfect when he was done. Hey great job...I did the research and ended up here and I made the right decision. I had a worn out key with a chip/transponder that needed to be replaced. The owner gave me a set price that would include cutting the key and programming the key. He quoted me a great price. Once I got there he did the rest, Before he programmed the master key he made a dummy key just to make sure the master key would fit exactly on the ignition and the doors Once that was done he cut the master key and programmed in 10min. That's all 10minutes. Im not going to say how much he charged me but it was cheaper then any other place... I checked! Very happy with the results. I would go back again for any key or lock problems. fyi... he also gave me that dummy key for free... incase I lock myself out of my truck...a spare for the door. read more
