As soon as I walked in i already decided that i was just going to order food at a place next door (shoutout Chicken Meets Rice 5/5 stars) while my friends ordered from there. By the time I got my food and walked back to Clara's Junction to eat with my friends, they had yet to get their food ?!?! Mind you, I ordered much later than them. After i finished my food, my friends who ordered the crispy chicken sandwich, had again, yet to receive their food. Eventually, my other friend who didn't get anything decided to order food too. It didn't take at least 45-1hr for my first friend to get his food. Also, we thought our friend who ordered later wasn't getting his food because he just ordered later than us, but when we asked the waiter if we could just get his order to go, it turns out, he didn't even have his order down to be made?!?! After waiting longer, he just decided to cancel the order and to just go to chipotle. While these set of events was happening, there were no more than 8 customers including us in the restaurant. Had lunch here with my husband today after a tech conference at the Santa Clara convention center. The backyard patio was nice for lunch. The apartments and area is all new after the Carls Jr was torn down. I'm doing keto diet and the restaurant was nice about accommodating my food preferences. They lettuce wrapped my steak burger and let me do a side salad instead of fries. The steak was really good! The crispy cauliflower was also good. We swung by this joint before a tour at the new Clara apartment to envision if we can live here. First off, the goods - the staff were friendly and attentive. A weird side note, but I felt it was a good management where it was a good environment for the staff to work, and the happiness/satisfaction translated into their service. The ambiance is very casual. We sat outdoors and caught up on all of the sports games and news that were going on. It was a casual area to be in where we could let loose the little kiddos without feeling judged. Now, the food. This is their greatest area of improvement. We ordered the chips and guac, giant pretzels as appetizers, burger with fries and a chopped salad with chicken as main with a side of draft beer. Sadly to say, nothing was very good nor memorable food-wise that we ordered. Happened upon this cool outdoor spot - it would be a nice place to host an event. They have tables, tvs, cornhole, jenga, etc. I'm sure it's packed after games as it's right next to Levi's Stadium. It's seems it's one main restaurant with indoor seating and the back entrance is all outdoors and has two food trucks/tents with varying hours. Tacos were closed when we came, but The Pit was grilling and blasting music. Decided to order from The Pit and Clara's Junction. What's cool is certain tables have the QR code so they will just bring out the orders to your table which I love. The food was pretty good - I'd say the meat (brisket at The Pit and tri tip sandwich at CJs) could be more tender. The cornbread and fries sides were really good though. I believe the manager brought out our food and staff kept the tables clean so hard working staff! Yall are sleeeeeeping on this new spot next to Levi's! It's where all the poor people go to watch the game when they can't get into the stadium across the way. Just kidding, it's pretty pricy but I enjoyed our food and the ambiance. Ordering is super simple through the QR code and Toast website. For the record I love Toast. Anyway, the ordering from the QR code thingy is quite dangerous because it's so simple and convenient when you want more things. It's like an open tab. I think the whole name of the company is Toast Tab. So that makes sense. Food was super quick and it was standard bar fare. Presentation was nice. Could have set us up with plates/bowls for the shareables right away but we had to ask. Utensils and napkins are already at the table. Also had to ask about turning down the house music and putting the game audio through the house speakers. But they just turned off the music and put on the game through the tv speakers. Just little adjustments to make this place a true sports bar/hangout would make it stellar! Came during a game itself and was able to find parking. Traffic was heavy but it moved. I was excited to try this place for my brother-in-laws birthday, the location is relatively close, seemed like a nice, casual place and I appreciated the kid-friendly outdoor area I saw on the site. We went pretty early on a Friday and had a mix of adults and kids ranging from 2 - 11. There wasn't a game that day and there weren't many customers there throughout the time we were there (which was a while). Pros: The outdoor seating area and spots to play with Jenga, Connect Four, corn hole, hula hoops, etc. means the kids could play nearby while the parents enjoyed a meal and some conversation - they had a blast! Some also enjoyed their meals, the pretzel dog, smashburger, fries and fish tacos were good. Side note, the Southwest bowl which seemed like a simple meal was extremely dry, had minimal chicken with flavorless rice and ingredients, I had others try it to ensure it wasn't just me and it was left uneaten. I do think that could be an easy fix. Cons: The service. I can deal with it being slow although again, it wasn't busy but our waitress seemed to be going through the motions while filled with disdain about the fact that she was there or needing to serve us. She was slightly more attentive when we first got there but that ended after the first hour or so. Honestly, none of the staff looked happy to be there (for those that I saw) and maybe they weren't, but it doesn't create a very inviting or engaging experience. I'll take robotic or even a level of indifference as long as you are efficient and courteous. Examples - we got water once and no refills, plates were left on the table and not cleared for 1+ hours (from the starters to the meals), we had to frequently get up to order additional things (if we didn't want to wait 30+ minutes) while being left with the feeling that we were inconveniencing them by wanting to purchase additional items. Overall, this restaurant may be fine if you are stopping in for a quick snack and standard, on menu drinks at the bar (making standard cocktails not on the menu are not a strength) or if you don't care about the level of service you receive. Maybe they aren't good at serving tables of 8+, it's not clear. My hope is this was an off day but it left enough of an impression that we won't be coming back - especially when we can get basic (and decent) customer service in so many other places without the unfriendly vibe; particularly when we're spending over $500 for food and drinks that were just okay. read more

I stopped by Clara's Junction after dropping my husband off at Levi's for a 49er game. It was a bit hectic to get to, but I was able to maneuver my way around the traffic. I can see Clara's Junction being a fun spot for watching sports, pre-gaming, etc. with friends. It was inviting, and I was immediately drawn to its lively outdoor patio where a DJ was spinning. I ended up snagging a seat indoors though, because it was nearly 90 degrees outside. I sat at a table facing the bar that had 3 giant TV screens and none of which played the 49ers game. Customer service was alright. It was a bit confusing as to whether I had a main server or not. After I placed my order with one of the wait staff members, I never saw him again. When I needed something, I would just try to call attention to whomever was passing by. Food came out in a timely manner though. I appreciated the promptness! Food was mediocre at best. I ordered the "crispy" cauliflower, fried wings, and nilla pudding. I put the word crispy in quotations, because the cauliflower was anything but that. They were honestly limp and soggy. I was curious as to whether they were super oily or the moistness on the paper was actually its sauce. It was flavorful though, like a sweet and sour taste. The wings were solid. To start, the service was great! Came on a Thursday for some lunch. The manager or whomever came by and checked on us which is always a nice touch. However, the food was subpar at best for the price. Their "whole 9 yard" burger claiming 1/2 lb of meat was really just two patties that were slapped together with cheese holding it together in the middle. For a $24 burger I'd expect better quality meat, I wouldn't mind it not being 1/2 lb just to have better quality. Tri tip was obviously old and reheated, which I understand because tri tip to order is a difficulty to maintain quality, in my opinion the menu needs a serious reconstruction and the quality of food is definitely not worth the price, you're paying more so for the convenience of location close to game day with Levi's close by and the nice sky rises. The environment is nice they did a great job upgrading the restaurant to have a fun and friendly vibe with plenty of outdoor activities. I'd come back if the food quality increased. It was a nice surprise to see that something had finally replaced the old Carl's Junior. So glad to have a nice bar and restaurant close by to watch any game. I'm sure this spot will be busy when there's a Niner's game. The cocktails and the food were really good. We ordered the 9er Mule, the pretzel and shared the rack of ribs. Everything was delicious. The pretzel was perfect, crunchy outside, salty and soft and chewy on the inside. The hot mustard, beer cheese and seed mustard were all delicious. The rack of ribs was great. Loved the giant curly fries. And the cocktail was good too, made with a hibiscus vodka and perfectly gingery. All the staff were really friendly. We came on a Friday evening when it wasn't too busy and the staff were happy to put a Warrior's game on one of the TV's near our table. The inside and outside are very nice. The outdoor patio has fire pits and heat lamps and it's dog friendly. We'll come back with our pup on a sunny weekend afternoon. Stopped here for a quick bite on our way out of town. Nice space, very open and bright. They also have a couple of food trucks outside, one taco and one barbecue. We chose to eat in the actual restaurant. I ordered the Beyond burger, which is plant based. It was decent and came with avocado and pickled onions which added flavor. The fries were delicious and well seasoned. We were surprised to pay $2 for a small ramekin of ranch. But it's housemade which is a nice touch. Came on a Friday night when it was pretty mellow. There's plenty of outdoor seating, which was perfect since we brought our dog -- they're very dog friendly! The staff even brought out a water bowl for our pup without us asking, which was such a nice touch. Clara's Junction is the new kid on the block by Levi's stadium. Pretty cool how they transformed the old Carl's Jr into a pretty fancy bar/restaurant. My brother and I swung by to try out some food and check out the vibes of the place and I'm really digging the feel of it. All the employees that work here are super friendly and chill. Service was awesome even though we only ordered a pretzel to share. Menu is a little small when it comes to food but during the weekends they have bbq and taco truck (my brother and I didn't get to try it cause we swung by during the week). We had the Chicken Tinga tacos which I loved last time I was here and at $10 happy hour price for 3 tacos, it can't be beat! But our highlight was the Oaxacan Old Fashioned. This is one of the most balanced drinks I have had with mezcal. It even impressed my son who is a mezcal aficionado. Can't wait till warmer weather to take advantage of the outdoor area! I've seen this more than a few times, going towards the Stadium. Today, I'm in Silicon Valley. I'm here at Clara's Junction in Santa Clara this evening. I'm here for the Baja Fish Tacos again. It got Crunchy Rock Cod, and Red cabbage escabeche in it with Jalapeño Tartar Sauce. This is one awesome Taco. It arrived scorching hot. The Fish was super Crunchy and flavorful, I could hear the Crunch. It's all in the Batter. The Batter reminds me of something I get in a really good Lemon Chicken. And I like how they used Red cabbage for this version, it looks more vibrant, and I think the Slaw got more antioxidants in it. I would also give this 4.2/4.3 stars. It was a solid Taco. read more

She was upset that we asked for a heater outside and seemed bothered when we requested a new cup because it had lipstick stains along the rim. We stopped by Clara's junction over the labor day weekend and had a good dining experience overall. They did the food mostly right: salmon fresh and tender, roasted potatoes out of this world, French fries crispy, Cesar salad fresh, burger on point, BBQ items all tasty. The coleslaw was amazing with added citrus fruit to make it more interesting to eat. As a coleslaw hater, I have to say that was the best version of coleslaw I've had. However, fries too salty. Almost every restaurant I go that sells alcohol makes the fries salty, Clara's no exception. I think they want customers to order alcoholic drink to quench thirst. Mind you excessive salt is not good for health. Besides, Cesar salad, though used fresh ingredients, for some reasons, was not appealing. Food was on the pricey side, especially the BBQ which you ordered separately from a bar code on the menu that says "the pit". I paid $40 for sunny summer special that consisted of three wings, two ribs, tiny amount of pulled pork, beans, salad and dressing. Judging by the portion, I definitely think it's overpriced. Service was a mixed bag. There was no proper greeting at the door by the male host/manager. Service was good from our waiter, he checked on us and made sure we were taken care of. I liked his service. While we were leaving the premises, the same host, standing by the gate, awkward and unprofessional, didn't send a cheerio. Not a very good impression to treat your guests. What a great place to eat, drink and hangout. This place is just minutes away from the stadium, so this will be our new go to spot for any stadium events. We did know how busy it would and since it was my sons bday we called ahead to make a reservation, but even though the don't reservations they went ahead and reserved some tables for us. One of my friends also ordered a drink which never came. I like the idea of coming here and sitting outside with drinks to watch a sports game. (confusing that they also have tacos in the main restaurant, but we didn't get a chance to try the food truck tacos this time). Poke dish was okay- a tiny bit oversauced for me. I liked the mix of tuna poke, cucumber and avocado. Would pass on it next time since it cost too much for what it was ($22) . We recently had large group party at this place. The Drinks ( both cocktails and mocktails )weren't good at all and the food options are bland.when I say bland I am not looking for spicy food but rather food with characteristic or flavor. Nothing great or unique about this place. I would rather go to B Js or Big Als. Not worth the price of food we paid for. read more

Went after the game to wait out traffic. I wish we would have kept on walking. They were out of 2 different beers I tried to order, which was super annoying, but the worst part was the BBQ pulled pork sandwich we ordered. It was small, it was dry AF and that was it. No fries. New outdoor spot for y'all in Santa Clara/Milpitas! Recently came here for a birthday and had a great experience. Would love to shoutout the service of both Stanford and Gabriella, they went above and beyond to make our experience special and comforting. This is a primarily outdoor space, and even though it was a chilly night, they've got heat lamps and a fun fire pit. There's lots of large TVs, benches, and group tables. Probably a great spot to watch your favorite game! Ordering and tabs are kept on each person's device via QR code, so this is a great option if you have a big group with different tastes and don't want to hassle with splitting bills. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich which came with fries. The sandwich itself had a nice hot honey and a slaw that was delicious. Also tried the ribs, definitely a hit! I didn't find the food to be anything spectacular, this was more for the ambiance. Parking is slightly tricky here, I recommend parking in the lot next door near Chicken Meets Rice. I would definitely come back if I wanted to watch a game, have a few drinks, and bites with a big group! read more
