I used Montclair Dental for years and was pleased with the service. I am writing this review because of a recent experience I have had with them. I was scheduled for a follow-up appointment on a Friday morning at 7:00 am. It takes me 35-40 minutes without traffic, so I prefer earlier times on Friday. When I arrived, the office was closed. I waited 30 minutes, and nobody showed up. I called them later that day to try to find out what happened, but there was no answer, so I left a message. Fast forward 11 days later, I was contacted by Montclair Plaza Dental to see if I wanted to schedule my follow-up appointment. I told them nobody was at the office for my last appointment. There was no explanation or apology. They only wanted to know if I wanted to schedule an appointment. The answer was a definite NO. I will find another dental office. read more

This place is closed. I had been trying to reach them via phone for 2 days. I finally drove by and the parking lot was empty. The doors were closed and no one was in the office. No signs on the door, nothing on their social media and no notice to their patients. read more

And let me tell you this lovely young lady did not disappoint went above and beyond the call of duty and hooked up this fellow Paisano beyond belief. She did an absolutely flawless job on my front tooth. I had a little chip and you can never tell I had one there now I can't say enough about this lovely young lady she's Kinda. My Son has a gaping hole in his mouth #13&14 due to the dentist not saying he had some cavities, instead he said he will need a baby tooth pulled other then that he was fine. I'm not a dentist or a hygienist so why would I think otherwise!? My Som has been complaining of tooth pain so I've been calling non stop and no one answers the phone or returns my calls!! I had to find another dentist and it turns out my son has not one but two teeth that need ROOT CANALS now!! Thanks a lot Montclair dental for taking care of my Son! Now he's in tremendous pain and this could have all been avoided! Also, I was making payments for my crown and was suddenly sent to collections! I paid in full to avoid having my credit ruined, oh it gets better! My mom had an appointment to have her crown placed she shows up to her appointment and no one was there!! She waited 30 mins and no one showed up! Called left a message and never returned the message. This place went downhill very sad!! We were patients for years! I'm so upset with the way we were all treated! Shame on you Montclair Dental!!! read more

My wife made an appointment for 3:30 on Tuesday they sent her a text message verifying the appointment. Well she shows up for the appointment and no one is there, I mean the doors are locked. No call no text nothing. Don't waist your time. They won't be there. Do not go here. I can't say it enough. Fast friendly service by such a nice welcoming team and what I really liked was getting such great service and for once which seems to be a thing with dentists around here not finding a packed waiting room and having to wait ages for our appointment. We went in on time and 50 minutes later, my daughter and l left and she had had an exam, two pinprick cavities filled by laser and a cleaning. More than satisfied. Both my husband and I will be registering as well. Daughter had a problem. Turned out to be a canker sore and nothing serious. I hadn't visited the dentist for Sometime and was a bit reluctant to go until I started having a tooth pain. I came in and was greeted and taken care of quickly and promptly. My husband and I just moved to Claremont and were looking around for a good dentist. I found them here in Yelp and decided to give them a call. I was able to make an appointment over the phone with Michelle for both of us. My husband gets really anxious about going to the dentist, but he came back after getting his wisdom teeth pulled out with nothing but praise about Dr. Dave. He said he and the staff did their best to calm him down and he's really satisfied with the work they did on him (tooth extraction and root canal). A week or so later it's my turn to get my wisdom tooth out. I like how clean the place looked. The front desk were very professional and friendly. I'd never had a tooth extraction before, so I was a little apprehensive (but not as much as my husband was lol). Dr. Dave, with the help of Vanessa, pulled my tooth out. It's a very weird experience, but they seem to really know what they're doing, so that calmed me down. It's been about a week since then and I'm happy to say we didn't get any complications from our extractions. Dr. Dave really knows what he's doing and they actually made me want to go more regularly to the dentist. I highly recommend this place! Tips: - parking lot in the plaza where they're located. I am not so happy with the way I feel now. I have many fillings in the past with other dentist without any problems. But this fillings that I recently did with this provider is not what I expected. i am regretting even going in the first place. I can't eat or chew on my my right side anymore after the fillings. I had to go back about three times to see if the sensitivity can be fixed after the fillings, but up till now I cannot eat or chew on my right side with my tooth. I am so disappointed. Went on for jaw problems. They end up convincing me to replace the fillings in my teeth. Ever since then I haven't been able to eat on my right side. I ended up having to get a root canal, after the doctor messed up. Never got an apology btw, it's the least they could have done. And today I cant eat anything hard on my left side, all of these problems began when the doctor started messing with fillings. I don't know how this place has so many good reviews. But I highly doubt they are real because no one this incompetent should be running a dentist nor having this feedback. And this is not mentioning the lack of care they had when I brought up my concerns. I say it's best skip this place and save you the trouble from damaging your teeth. read more

Got my wisdom tooth removed yesterday. Prior to this, I have not been to the dentist for 20+ years and never had problem other than my wisdom teeth. The whole crew was super nice, I received local anesthesia and was awake whole time. I'd rather never visit them again but I know my left set of wisdom teeth will have to be removed at some point and this is the place to do it. The dentist that took out my teeth was under supervision by a more experienced dentist. She did great but had some difficulty with my bottom tooth (it has a curvy root). With that being said, I feel like I've made a large contribution to the academia with my suffering. I will be claiming it on my taxes and should be considered an educational philanthropy. read more

I've had a "gummy" smile my entire life. It's been a point of insecurity for me to the point where I'd smile with my mouth closed for pictures. I came here looking for information regarding a gingivectomy to eliminate some of the excess gum covering my teeth and I was able to get the procedure done that same afternoon.
