    Dirty Bathroom floor

Our family met in Pigeon Forge this Thanksgiving, and we chose the Residence Inn for our stay. The hotel itself is fairly new and has many of the updated features that Marriott is implementing in this brand. We rented two rooms. While one room was okay at first glance, the other had a filthy bathroom and no towels provided upon check-in--not the first impression we were hoping for. It was as if the room wasn't fully cleaned. The inconveniences continued throughout our stay. On Thanksgiving Day, we discovered our kitchen sink was completely clogged. We reported the issue immediately and were told maintenance would address it. We stayed until Saturday, and no one ever came to fix the sink. We were left looking at a clogged, unusable sink for days, forcing us to use our relatives' room for basic needs. Furthermore, the WiFi was completely out for our entire stay, with a sign posted saying the fix date was unknown. My spouse had to cancel a crucial work call because of this outage. We felt strongly that guests should have been notified about such a significant issue prior to arrival. Despite our Titanium Elite status with Marriott, we were also denied a late check-out, which compounded the feeling that our experience was not valued. On a positive note, the breakfast each morning was excellent. The employees did a fantastic job ensuring everything was fresh and hot, offering fresh eggs and even veggie sausage--a cut above many other free hotel breakfasts. Most staff members were friendly and helpful, trying their best to assist us with our many issues and relaying our concerns to management, although management never followed up directly regarding compensation for our numerous inconveniences. We also received a call from staff about some pet medicines we left, they offered to mail it which was nice. They said they didn't know we had pets and said they would be adding a pet fee to our room despite all of the inconveniences we experienced. We have stayed at numerous Residence Inns across the country, but unfortunately, this is one location we will not be returning to.

    Ignored filth behind toilet

I really like this hotel and it's amenities. (living/kitchen + seperate bedroom) Hotel is modern; well-designed. Employees are very gracious and helpful. Details that make things better: (1) the shower head and handle are on opposite ends of the walk in shower, making it great to regulate water temperature before stepping into shower. (2) Convenient table and counter height stools that are movable/ if needed. (3) Generous supplies (dishwashing detergent, dishwasher powder, combo sponge/scratch pad, paper towels) (4) Nice dishes, pots & pans (5) Nice towel sets (5) Comfortable sofa/moveable ottoman, comfortable desk chair and so much more. Unfortunately, there were some less than desireable details. Whoever had mopped the bathroom floor had done a 1/2 job. The tile floor was mostly clean except for the areas behind the toilet and around the baseboards (see photos). The @Whirlpool refrigerator has an "issue." Apparently the freezer defrosts, and the water will actually drain into the shelves of the bottom refrigerator. We reported it, thinking it needed to be repaired, only to find out every refrigerator in the building does the same thing. We had food sitting in puddles of water until we placed towels under the drain. When they become soaked, we simply put a fresh stack of towels under the back right side of the top shelf to keep from having our food sitting in the puddles. Not sure why @Marriott would not hold @Whirlpool accountable for this problem. Or why @Marriott even purchased fridges with this problem. But, YES! We would stay here again. The mattress was comfortable. The kitchen was well thought out. The room was spacious. The large windows was wonderful. The privacy shades kept the glare out, and the drapes could be closed to black out the sun, allowing for a wonderful nights sleep. Plenty of parking as well. We ate breakfast in our room, but usually picked up some fruit, muffins, sausage, etc. to add to our meals.

We were excited to enjoy a few days at this new Residence Inn property. The hotel is beautiful. Our room was very clean & had a nice view of the island. Shower water was hot but pressure left something to be desired. The breakfast was delicious. My husband was happy to see biscuits & gravy. On check in we were informed that the hot tub was open & 103°. When we returned from dinner the front desk informed us that the hot tub was broke but they turned the outdoor pool temperature up. The pool felt like a warm bath & hot tub was like a cold plunge. Our primary reason for booking this hotel was to enjoy an outdoor hot tub. We were disappointed and changed hotels after one night.

Booked two nights here. Hotel is located near the Cal Ripken field so, as expected, the hotel was filled with traveling baseball teams. Brought back great memories for our family. Front desk employee was pleasant and helpful, rooms were spacious and clean, location was ideal (across from Islands at Pigeon Forge) and so many other attractions. In spite of this hotel being packed for the Memorial Day weekend, it was surprisingly quiet. Great stay. Will definitely return!

I was offered a different room, but then the head housekeeper said my room would be available in 10 minutes. Yay for communication! We had a king room. There was a light-blocking curtain that pulled between the sitting area and the bed so that there was nominal privacy if someone was sleeping on the sofa bed, but as there was only one TV and no actual door dividing the sleeping areas, you couldn't really watch TV after the kids go to bed without disturbing them. The room had a microwave, dishwasher, mid-sized refrigerator, and kitchen sink. It was convenient to be able to keep drinks in the fridge or have the option to reheat leftovers. The bathroom was recently renovated, but the water pressure in the shower was unusually poor. One of the nicest features of the hotel is the outdoor pool that has a decent slide and also some water features for the kids. As the hotel is on a hill, adults can appreciate the views of the surrounding mountains while watching over their splashing kids. There's also an indoor poor, but it's a standard pool, no cool features. There's a free breakfast included with the room. It's pretty basic, usually DIY waffles, toast, cereal, yogurt and a single egg and meat offering. The orange juice was awful. Only apples for fruit. However, it was convenient and free, so I can't complain too much. My only gripe is that housekeeping isn't daily/automatic. They'll clean your room if you have a longer stay, or if you call and ask them to come and clean. I guess the days of daily maid service are done for this class of hotel. We were there only 2 nights, so I suppose it wasn't a huge deal, but I might look to a fancier hotel in the future because I really do like having my bed made up and towels tidied when I'm on vacation.

Had to ask for towels every other day which was challenging bc the staff acted as if they didn't speak English. Took the trash to lobby as the can in room was small and no housekeepers and for it. The beds are 4/10. Room was cleaned about 0/10. Stains on items. Dust. Hair. Won't stay here again when there are so many options.

They have outdoor balconies overlooking the shopping area or river - which was great for seeing nature (geese, beavers, herons). Facilities are nice with a good sized gym and large rooftop pool and hot tub overlooking the Ferris wheel. The roof has plenty of lounge chairs and the chill bar with great staff that will bring your orders (food included) to your chair. The hotel is pet-friendly and has an indoor fireplace-house restaurant and bar (Fins) with an outdoor patio. It also has an onsite Starbucks. While pricey, the amenities, room size, great staff, and location made it worth it! We've already started talking about our next visit!

The bathroom had a vent with tons of rust, the paint was chipped all over the walls. Beat up and scuffed furniture. The patios were sad and depressing. The patio door was broken and did not lock. The view is "sad creek with creepy parking lot." The hotel also gives a complimentary margarita coupon to guests. We do not drink alcohol. When I went to the bar I asked the manager if we could trade it in for a non-alcoholic margarita or NA beer and they said no, only alcoholic margaritas. How ridiculous! Not even a freaking mocktail margarita! After staying at the Gatlinburg resort property this was a huge let down. We have since learned they are two different franchise owners. Suffice to say, we were going to stay two nights. We paid for two and after one night we left and booked a room at the Gatlinburg location instead. That's how bad it was.

Got there around 10:00 and the room was ready. Great! Got to room and it was pretty small and filthy (table had crumbs/sticky, not vacuumed etc). Went back to the front desk and she offered to switch to same room for no charge or upgrade to a slightly bigger room for $20/night. We opted for that option since as a family of four, more space is worth the cost for us. We got to that room and again, not the cleanest and there was pubic hairs on the bathroom floor which basically sealed the deal mentally nothing good would happen. Because this was a timeshare offer we called them and finally after we left and had lunch they just put us in another room. They did refund the $60 and gave us three breakfast vouchers for each day but even this room was not clean to what "Hilton" standards should be even though the manager walked through the room personally. In the end, this made it very easy to say no to the timeshare presentation as their excuse was Hilton bought the property just a year ago so they aren't all up to standard yet. The lobby was beautiful, the pool area looked nice but my kids said the water was freezing. I would never pay for the $17 dollar breakfast as it's basically the same free stuff you get at every other hot continental breakfast. Basically, you couldn't pay me to stay here again.

It definitely delivers on the cozy atmosphere and river views -- and yes, there are plenty of geese to remind you you're by the water! Check-in was seamless, and the front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. They have a nice 24/7 drink bar with instant coffee and tea, plus another bar with juice and tea options during breakfast and again in the evenings (7-10). Small touches like that were a nice surprise. As for the room, it was a good size and overall comfortable. The beds were great, though I did notice housekeeping service declined a bit as the week went on. Towels varied in softness, and the complimentary toiletries were below average -- I'd recommend bringing your own. For a listed 3-star hotel, I'd rate it closer to 2.5 stars. The property is clean and cozy, but for the price point, it could use a few tune-ups. That said, I'd stay here again, especially if you're traveling with family or kids. The pool and hot tub area are nice, and the continental breakfast was fairly decent. Tip: If you're staying on the first floor near rooms 110-120, you might want to request a different area unless you're an early riser -- hallway noise can be noticeable from people coming and going in the morning.

Wowowowow, where do I start?!…read more Pigeon Forge is a mountainous Vegas-like touristy town. There are tons of hotels, some are great and others...not so much. Those great hotels are often going to cost a pretty penny while those more affordable ones are going to be a bit rough around the edges. So where can you stay in Pigeon Forge that isn't going to hurt the bank account while giving you a relaxing stay? Well look no further...Twin Mountain Inn & Suites is excellent AND affordable! I'm a Hotels member and when I saw Twin Mountain Inn and Suites' 5 star reviews, I was curious, especially because at the time, the rates were about $97/night AND pets are only $20/night. Not only that, the room had a river view with a balcony, fireplace, and free parking. Now, I've kept this hotel on the backburner on my account. Last time we visited Pigeon Forge, we stayed at Drury and spent so much more on a "Mountain View" that overlooked the parking structure. So, this time, I decided to go with my instinct and book with Twin Mountain. Boy, am I glad we did!! We stayed on the third floor. Don't let the cover of a book fool you. The parking is easy but can get full pretty quickly, true. However, the room was probably on of the cleanest hotel rooms we've ever stayed in. The beds were comfortable. The shower was hot and had good water pressure (albeit, no conditioner or body wash-just a small packaged bar of soap. There were two small bottles of shampoo). There's a microwave and mini fridge in the room. I also liked that there were two sinks, one in the bathroom and one just outside of it (vanity). This was convenient for two people. The AC/heater was powerful, too. The fireplace is timed and creates a cozy atmosphere. The balcony overlooking the river was peaceful and there were two plastic chairs and a little table out there to sit and enjoy the view of ducks and geese. Twin Mountain Inn and Suites is close to the strip but away from the flashing lights and noise. It's a great location! Breakfast is included and had biscuits and gravy, eggs, yogurt, sausage, fruit, cereal, and one waffle maker. There's fresh coffee and a juice machine, too. It was a tight squeeze as it was very busy for 7:30am so I decided to get one biscuit and gravy, two sausages, and a yogurt to take back to the room, which were all very good. There's a drink vending machine outside of the lobby and one near the parking lot. The elevator was convenient and they also had luggage trolleys, too. This was an outstanding stay for one night and I wish it had been longer. I highly highly HIGHLY recommend staying with Twin Mountain Inn & Suites for your next stay in Pigeon Forge.
