I am so glad I found these guys! Genuinely a great shop and they know what they're doing. I had a terrible experience with a local dealer trying to repair my C7, and after constant unresolved problems, I decided to take it to someone else.. I found Clarity, which luckily is a very short drive from my house. They were extremely communicative and transparent throughout the entire process. Did a full inspection on top of the issues that I brought it in for and they made recommendations, but I did not feel pressured to make any decisions. Ultimately I got everything done anyway and they were so quick. They sent photos of the car and photos confirming the issues they found as well. Not a shady shop at all in my opinion. I also brought it in on a Monday morning, the car was ready by I think Thursday or Friday that week. After dealing with my car sitting at the dealer for months with little to no communication, this was a HUGE relief for me. So I decided to bring it in again to get my new rims installed. Literally within a couple hours the car was ready to be picked up, the process was super easy overall. These guys will be my go to for any future repairs or general maintenance that I need from now on. I highly recommend them. Unprofessional communication and questionable billing practices. Based on my recent experience regarding an AC repair, I recommend avoiding Clarity at all costs. I brought my vehicle in for a diagnosis and received a four-item quote (compressor, condenser, lines, and recharge). I originally accepted this quote with an agreed-upon completion of the end of the next business day. The issues began with communication: Late-stage changes: At 5:20 PM the day before the work was set to commence, I received a text stating the parts supplier had changed, the price had increased, and the timeline was being extended. They also requested a deposit despite not doing so earlier. Lack of transparency: When I asked for a breakdown of the price increase, I was simply sent a link to a long PDF rather than a clear explanation or a phone call to discuss the new terms. The most concerning part of the experience: Because I had not yet approved the new, higher quote or the extended timeline, I messaged them the following morning to decline the job. I was told they had already removed my compressor. Management's stance was that because I had originally approved the "items" on the first quote, they were entitled to start work on those specific parts--even though the total project cost and timeline had changed and I had not signed off on the revised estimate. The shop manager told me I needed to "take accountability" and that this was a "me problem." I was ultimately charged an hour labor just to get my car back. If you value clear communication and a pleasant customer service experience, avid Clarity Auto at all costs. It's genuinely the worst customer experience I've had. read more

I used Clarity April of 2025 to replace a faulty starter. Having my car towed there an allegedly new starter was installed that appeared faulty shortly after requiring my returning to have another starter installed at which time (instead on the first visit) I was advised by Sergei the car needed a ignition lock assembly which necessitated my getting third party financial help. On Yelp I left a placeholder for my future review on Yelp saying pending completion of repairs, I will afterafter resume with review which I guess Sergei for some reason took offense to (I believe he just did not understand) because Sergei devulged my personal information on Yelp about my needing have my car towed there and my needing to get third party financing for the second repair that by the way should have shown up in the free diagnostic test offered upon my presenting for the starter. I do not trust the honesty, integrity here; nor do I appreciate the immature unprofessiona public disclosure of my private information I received from this shop owner. * I should mention Yelp removed my original review that shows where my personal business was made public on Yelp by Sergei. I have a copy of the original and my review had no profanity, nothing against the yelp rules just the truth and my suspicion based on facts. I was the victim but yelp helped this business owner in his wrong doings. I still going to pursue justice. I can repost the original to show I did not violationof any of Yelps regulations as Sergei suggests. People will see for themselves. You did wrong and Yelp bailed you out. When I found Clarity via Yelp business leads, I was in a serious bind trying to find an available mechanic with an available replacement radiator for my 2013 Nissan in between my multiple jobs (all of which require driving). Huge thank you to Sergei at Clarity Auto Care for his thorough, prompt service and communication! As a car novice, I'm always nervous to try a new repair shop but Sergei's calm, confident demeanor made me feel more at ease. The front lobby/waiting area is surprisingly spacious and relaxing (not something typical or expected in my experience with auto repair shops). I also noted a Carfax care certificate on display in the lobby which gave me further peace of mind that this business is recognized for its quality of service. The estimate process was simple and included detailed notes as well as pictures. Before beginning the repairs, Sergei answered all questions without hesitation or annoyance (something I've experienced before at other places). After the repairs were completed, Sergei further demonstrated his abilities & attention to details with helpful notes about the car's overall performance and potential repair needs for the future. He spoke candidly with me about the car's long term performance given its age and without trying to upsell me unnecessarily. Buyer beware!!! Shop around, do your homework on the work that needs to be done. Once the vehicle was dropped off, the calls for additional work began, exceeding what we had specifically requested and were quoted to do. The absolute one request we made is that we need the vehicle by the end of business on the same day. The part they said was 3 hours away, was at 3 different local parts distributors on the Peninsula............... including one dealership. You only have one reputation! This was my second time going to Clarity Auto--first for a pre-purchase inspection on my Mazda 3, and then again for some repairs (timing belt, suspension, and alignment). My brake light turns on when I drive so I knew something was wrong. Vlad helped diagnose the problem with honest prices for pads + rotors. They advised that I change the parking pads as well since they were going to give me a problem soon. Vlad included a free tire rotation since my tires were all going to be off the car for the job. (Much appreciated) They also include a 16-point diagnostic inspection report when paying so you can be informed of other checks that were performed on the vehicle during the job. I gave this place a second chance after my first visit & the owner seemed nice enough. I didn't want to give him a bad review, but when he didn't want to take responsibility for a problem they clearly caused that's when I decided no more. For my recent visit, I had them fix my brakes. A few minutes after I picked up my car, the tire cap fell off. Good thing it wasn't on the freeway. They obviously removed the caps for the brake job. It's just plain sloppiness to not make sure the caps are secured. Instead of accepting responsibility & apologizing for this, he said my caps were plastic and old and it was not their problem. That's why I'm writing this review. If only he apologized and acknowledged that maybe they should've checked it more thoroughly, I wouldn't have written this negative review. Now, the cap won't stay securely because it broke when it fell off. They put some unattractive plastic wraps to hold the cap in place. Because of their carelessness, I will have to buy a new one. For my first visit, I saw them for new tires & a battery. After the repairs, there were numerous problems after I left. I had to take my car back three times & they were clueless as to how to fix the problems. Most of my warning lights were flashing. They said the new battery was defective and that was why. I wondered about that & think they just didn't install it properly. Then, I had tire problems. The tire pressure light stayed on. They couldn't fix it. I had to waste time going back 3 times. The owner never apologized & came up with excuses that my car already had problems. These people are clearly incompetent. Instead of putting these mistakes on the customer, the owner should focus on the fact that his mechanics are doing half-ass jobs. Again, these were just basic services that they could not handle (not major jobs)! I have had tires, batteries and brakes replaced before and never did I leave these shops with new problems. I scraped my car's front underbelly and needed to find a car repair shop close to work. Clarity Auto Care lives up to its 5-star rating. They treated me respectfully and were very transparent with their pricing. Their proposed quote was sent to me via text message and email, and contained photos of the parts of my car that also needed repair, or should be under observation. The pricing and photos were grouped by specific sections of repair. I approved the repairs through a link. Since I had to come back for the repair, I was given email and text reminders of when my scheduled repair date would be. The office and shop are clean and have large windows. I was offered their wifi information right away while I wait for my Uber. I left having such a pleasant experience. read more
