We took our 2015 BMW X3 to Amana a couple of weeks ago. It had started showing a check engine light while we were traveling and we were very concerned with the fact that we had already put so many miles on it driving back home. First off, you can tell that this is a family-owned business in the way that they talk to their customers and complete work in a timely fashion. I walked in needing an oil change and a brake job, and Hassan at the front desk was super friendly and helpful right from the get-go. Within minutes, he gave me an estimate and was able to accommodate my specific requests for OEM parts and timeline for when I needed the service done. I was able to bring my car in over the weekend and they had it done early on Monday. The price was extremely fair and even lower compared to other reputable shops in the area. I'd like to give Amana Auto five thumbs up. For over 50 yearsI've worked on my own cars, including hot rods and classics. Some complete restorations now that I'm in my 70s my body is telling me no more. This is the first time i've had to find a local shop to work on my truck or any car I've had. I looked to yelp. They had good reviews and they were great and very honest. I said replace the alternator and possibly the water pump they're original to my truck which has 116,000 miles they agreed with me alternator needed to be replaced as I thought and they said they pressurized the cooling system said everything looks good. So you don't need to replace the water pump. Just a heads up that they did a very quick and thorough job. I will be back to them hopefully not for a while. Thank you, Joe. read more

Never had an easier experience getting my car fixed. I wanted (did not need) new brakes and rotors for my car. I took my car here because I wasn't sure what was wrong with it. I was next door at Benz Auto body for repairs to the bumper/light when my car stopped running. Glad I was in the area lol. When I walked in the gentleman was very nice. I left my car there overnight and the next day they called me and told me what was wrong with. My younger daughter got a job in Portland and needed a car to get her up there. We were looking in the $5k-8k range, and Ahmad and Fhaddi had a nice selection at that price point. My daughter wanted a 2002 Outback for $5k and this car had less than100k miles and looked good, so we bought it. By the time we got home, the engine light was on. I checked the codes and reset and it came back. I call Ahmad and he asks us to drive it back down and he'll fix it. I don't imagine the margins on a $5k car are great, but Ahmad stuck with the car, checked the catalytic converter, replaced the O2 sensor and put a lot of time into the car. My daughter had a job (like unicorns for recent college grads in this economy) and had to get up to Portland on a deadline, and Ahmad turned himself inside out to make it work. In the end, the car is running well. Ahmad and Fhaddi fixed whatever was causing the engine light to go on, and they stood behind the car they sold us. And through the process they were flexible, kind, and wanted us to have a good experience. I returned a few days later to find out if he could do a brake and light inspection that I needed in order to get my car registered at DMV. His service shop doesn't do that, but he went out of his way to call another shop for me and sent me their way. I was having trouble shifting gears in my 2012 Ford Fiesta, so I took it to the Ford dealership for an estimate. They charged me $200 for diagnostics and then told me it would cost $2,800 to $2,900 to actually fix my car. So, I thought I would get another estimate and called up Amana Auto. Long story short, I was able to get the original problem fixed as well as getting new brake pads (which I knew would need replacing soon) for a total of $2,000. $900 cheaper than the original estimate. I've been driving the car for about a month now and it's been perfect. I feel really lucky to have found Amana Auto. The staff was really easy to work with and they communicated everything they wanted to do.
