I even overheard some of the issues that they found on another customer's vehicle. They were working hard making calls to find one small part so they didn't have to charge a customer for a more expensive replacement unit (which is what one of the employees was telling the distributor over the phone). I have had these guy's do frame straightening and wheel alignment on several vehicles. I own a Auto Body Shop and have sent several vehicles to these gentlemen. While I do have my own frame straightening equipment and measuring system, I still use Tony to do the difficult ones. They always figure out what is wrong and then figure out how to fix it. Outside the box kinda guy's that are completely into cars and what they do for a living. Just picked up my Maserati and the thing drives perfectly. I had brought my car in to check my suspension,they told me it was $90 for the diagnostic and $95 for the alignment. They said the car was fine so it didn't need the diagnostic so they only charged me $95. They work on lowered cars and the only thing I can complain is how QUICK they were... I literally dropped the car off, went home and right as I got home they said it was ready. They also made my steering wheel straight, last alignment shop messed it up. These guys are good. read more

I don't like writing a negative review. Oct 2020 they did a wheel alignment on my Acura after I got new tires on and no complaints. I just got new tires on my 2001 BMW X5 (November 2021) and took it to them to get an alignment done. They told me that they couldn't do the alignment because I needed the Control Arms replaced. That would cost about $400. This wasn't urgent and today(Dec 30) I went to Danny's Auto in Folsom and when they got done they had No problem with the alignment and were dumbfounded when I told them about Clark Frame's recommendation. Also, Clark charged me $35 to check it out. Danny's doesn't charge anything to check the alignment. I'm a senior citizen and on a fixed income so things are a little tight. I see there's a lot of reviews on here that are 5 Stars. I will never go there again. read more

My second time here for my current vehicle, 1995 Accord. I had to repair an axel and replace two tires, and of course you always need an alignment after that. My 05 Ford freestyle is a strange model with special suspension needs. A mis diagnosis 2 years ago by another outfit had me waste $900 fixing symptoms with inferior parts. Won't name this other outfit, but the name ends with schwab Tony at Clark frame found the cause of the issues, fixed it quickly, and fixed some of the other work again properly. Excellent service and they actually explain what's happening with your vehicle. I would say I'd use them again but i don't expect any more suspension issues with my car. read more

Be careful. I've gone there numerous times and had good results as long as I kept the repairs strictly to alignment. The 1 time I had other front-end suspension work needed, they charged me twice what other folks wanted. Buyer beware. Their work was good but their prices were suspect. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!! I came in with my 2016 Tacoma TRD4x4. They told me $105 for an alignment. Took my car behind back and within 30 seconds barely shook my wheel maybe a hair and told me my ball joints are bad and that they can't align it. My truck was darting all over and tearing through tires, all signs pointed in the direction of a front end specialist. After two sub par alignment experiences at other shops I made my case to Clark Frame and was scheduled for the next morning. I was greeted quickly and ran through the issues I was experiencing, they took it for a ride seeming to duplicate my concerns. The truck was put on the lift and adjusted in around 20 minutes, good service and nice new-ish alignment machine, and one of the better maintained shops around clearly. Brought my Land Rover here after another shop (chain tire and alignment shop) told me they couldn't align it because some of the alignment hardware was damaged (they likely damaged it). This isn't so much a review as advice for getting to Clark's. First, make your appointment and show up early. They'll start on the next car if you're not there. They are that busy. Second, to get there on time, you need to know how to get there. the "Clark's Body" shop is NOT the same Clark's Wheel & Frame, but it a good landmark since it's a connected set of suites. Turn into the gated yard just to the east of the Clark's sign/building and head to the back. Enter the damned office, say your damned hello, drink your damned coffee and get your damned wheels aligned. They'll take 20-30 minutes if they're not already/still working on another alignment. They are 4x4 friendly. Lots of photos of crawlers pinned to the walls. The cost of an alignment is VERY good. If you're reading this you know how important an alignment is to tire life. read more

I lowered my Challenger SRT and these cars don't come with any alignment adjustments from the factory. Apparently Mopar's engineers think their pooh don't stink. I installed adjustable control arms and 2 other alignment shops turned me away saying they weren't comfortable messing with it. (The dealership too). I came to the shop after replacing the track bar on my truck. I wanted the TRACK BAR adjusted to center the axle, along with toe and drag link adjusted. I made this very clear over the phone and in person. I got a call back saying the alignment was done but the axle was off to one side and part of my suspension was rubbing. They wanted more money to adjust the track bar. The track bar was the very reason for my visit in the first place! At this point they wanted $85 for a diagnosis(ball joints) that I didn't ask for and an "alignment" I didn't need. I put that in quotation because they didn't even adjust caster or camber or even set the axle centered under the frame! $85 and wanting more to adjust the track bar. Case who was politely debating with me put me on the phone with Tony. Tony was loud, over bearing, and continued to talk over me while I tried to explain my frustration. When I told him I was dissatisfied with the service and would pick the truck up and leave a review on yelp he literally yelled at me, accusing me of threatening him. I explained the situation from start to finish one last time, this time uninterrupted and he said, "Fine ill do it" and then hung up. While I do feel their strategy for up-selling is sometimes unethical and I was treated somewhat unfairly, the main thing that bugs me was Tony's behavior over the phone. I did not deserve to be talked down to and I had a valid cause for concern. Aside from the poor customer service and aggressive behavior from Tony I am happy with the end result of their work, although it did make for a very stressful day. Tips: Check and replace any worn items before you go to alignement. If you have an issue, even if it does not pertain to the work requested they will deny service and charge you a diagnostic fee without performing any actual work! Check repair prices against OT Cars down the street. Ball joint replacement at Clarks was $500 vs $280 at OT Cars. read more

This is my first non-food related review. I have to agree with Matt C (once again). These guys are great, honest, personable, and most importantly, know exactly what they're doing! I had a strange noise in my Honda that I've been toying with for weeks. They nailed it in 5 minutes, and took care of it. Sweet! I took my 2004 Honda Accord to them prepared to replace both lower ball joints because one was damaged by me over the weekend. They inspected the car and repaired the damaged ball joint instead of replacing them. Case and Tony saved me $320 because of their honesty and integrity and I can't thank them enough! You don't often find a mix of really skilled technicians, friendly service, clean waiting area, fast work and good price but this is it. Don't waste your time going anywhere else and getting sub-par service. I made an appointment for 11, got there at 11 and they got my car in at 11 and I was out of there in less than 45 minutes. With "Frame" in their name and being in a mini industrial park setting I thought they might be a hole-in-the wall place that body shops mostly deal with but their shop is top-notch and their waiting area is clean and air conditioned.
