You ever run into someone with such exceptional customer service that you think to yourself, "dang, I wish this guy worked for me." Cameron is that guy. I had just arrived to my buddy's house in Whittier when my landlady called and left me a frantic voicemail that there were bees inside her house and pleading with me to call someone. I called at least 6 companies and they were either closed or because we weren't already being serviced, they wouldn't help. Being 35 miles away, this was very frustrating because I couldn't assess the situation or help. I called Clark Pest Control and the gal on the phone (wish I remember her name) was super great and connected me with Cameron. Cameron was very knowledgable and advised on next steps to take. Today I called around to various termite and fumigation companies looking for pricing to treat a piece of furniture that is showing signs of having wood boring pests. Most of the companies I reached out to either said they didn't offer the service or quoted $800 plus for fumigation since it was not within their normal scope of work. I got transferred over to Clark Pest control 6 months ago, as the previous pest control company I was with for more than 10 years (Sentinel) closed their business. Recently they billed me $1200 for a work they didn't perform or complete. Here are the details of my experience. I recently called them to take care of rodent issue I have in my crawl space. The person who came for inspection gave me an estimate of $1,200. I was told that the estimate was based on the work that need to be performed in the crawl space and the no. of vents that need to replaced - 10 in total. When the worker showed up, it took only 30 minutes or so to install the vents from outside without entering the crawl space. The work was performed very poorly. Moreover, I was initially told they are using stainless steel vents and upon closer inspection I found it to be aluminum, which costs only $1.40 per piece. When I learnt that they are not going to sterilize or clean up the crawl space, and will not put the traps inside the crawl space, I asked them to leave as the charges were exorbitant. After that I made calls to several highly rated companies and got a quote for around $350 with warranty that includes 6 weekly visits to check and dispose the rodents. When I conveyed this to the person who came for inspection, he offered me to come back and finish the job for $300 excluding the trap and cleaning service. When I refused, he said he will write off the charges. But a week later I got a call from their General Manager, Larry Brad, demanding me to pay for the work that has not been performed and he was not even aware of the conversation I had with their employees Clint Mooring and Chris. In conclusion, this company suffers from unsatisfactory service and poor communication. I also just noticed one of the 5-star review in Google has come from their employee itself read more

I have been a customer for over 5 years, I have Clark come out on a monthly basis. I am now in escrow to sell my house and of course I call my guys, Clark Pest control. They guy who came out was not very friendly, different guy than my normal guy who is very nice. Clark sends me back a report that it would cost $30,000 to treat my home! How come as I have had your company out every month that no one ever recommended any of this be treated now I need to sell and this is what they tell me. I'm blown away at the lack of attention in the past and the fact that they would give a 30K bid to a loyal 5 year customer. Hurvey is the man! So courteous and helpful. He even helped us move some furniture! He offered his help. He conducted our termite inspection (we knew we had them, it was mainly a formality so we could get a quote). Clark Pest's negotiated quote was reasonable. Their initial quote was a bit scary - it would be nice if they came straight out with the lower quote - but it wasn't the end of the world as we had done our homework and had a ballpark figure. With Clark, we paid slightly above the lowest quote we got from another company...why? Well, service and quality matter! Hurvey was the selling point. As were the high yelp reviews... and the really lovely customer service on the scheduling end. I spoke with a couple ladies who were more than helpful and very nice. It's sad that so many businesses hire people that are miserable and make you feel like you are bothering them. Clark Pest was not like that at all in our experience. One small detail... their paperwork says that Clark will book gas shut off but customer books turning on. The customer service woman I spoke with said I should book gas turn off. Good thing I checked. As things could have been delayed had I not found that out. read more
