Unfortunately, another family member and I, who had both ordered the same entrée, were left waiting. Approximately 20 minutes later, when the rest of our party was nearly finished eating, our server informed us that the restaurant was out of tuna and that we would need to choose something else. It was very disappointing that it took so long for us to be notified. I ultimately ordered the mahi tacos, but they lacked flavor and were quite underwhelming. I attempted to ask for Tabasco sauce, but our server did not return to our table for quite some time to check on us. When she finally came back, I ordered another Tito's and soda and asked if it could be made as a double because my first drink tasted mostly like club soda. She informed me that the drink I had already been consuming was a double, which was surprising given the taste. At that point, I switched to water. Several others in our group were also disappointed with their meals and did not enjoy their selections. Between the long delay, poor communication, inattentive service, and disappointing food, the overall experience fell well short of expectations. Unfortunately, I do not plan to return.

The crab was delicious. So fresh. The breading was light and crispy. Not greasy at all. My only complaint was the roll. It was not good at all. Kind of tough and too thick for the crab. It didn't do the crab justice. The house made chips were good. The coleslaw flavor is good. It's just super chopped into tiny pieces so the texture wasn't for my liking. I can't explain it. I did try a bite of the salmon croquettes appetizer. They were pretty good but the toppings were too much. They were swimming in balsamic vinegar. There was another sauce on top of them. The crab cake sandwich was good. That was served on a potato roll. It was all crab and not much filler. I would get that next time!

Nestled in a nook over the bridge, Lakeside Grill can easily be missed. Small, comforting, and some great food for a great price. Our family of 5 all thought the same thing when we looked at the menu: these prices are amazing. For less than $20 a person you can get an entire breakfast, coffee, and be more than satisfied - something you definitely can't get in the city. I opted for a heavenly omelette with mushrooms, spinach, swiss & hollandaise sauce and was not disappointed. Even the presentation was beautiful, something you don't find often from small eateries! Will definitely be returning to try the crabcake benedict (yum!!) and check out their lunch/dinner options!
