Extremely Unprofessional and Repeatedly Misleading I brought my car to Champion Collision on Diamond Avenue after an accident in June 2025. I was initially told it would be ready by July 18. That date came and went with no communication from the shop. I only found out it would be delayed the day before I was supposed to pick it up -- and this pattern repeated multiple times. Each week, I was told "early next week" or "by the end of the week," and every single time the car was still not ready. The worst part is I had to call them every time to find this out. They never once reached out on their own to update me or notify me of delays. The final straw came when a manager promised 100% that the car would be ready, so I drove over an hour from DC to Gaithersburg, only to be told -- again -- that the car wasn't ready. I also contacted their corporate office and spoke to someone named Jennifer, who was sarcastic and unhelpful, saying her "hands were tied" and refusing to let me speak to a supervisor. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had with any business, let alone a collision repair shop. I've wasted time, gas, and energy chasing answers -- and the job still isn't done. Save yourself the stress and take your car somewhere else. read more

Okay readers, listen up. There are several shops in the DC area that provide powder coating and caliper painting services. After visiting a few shops in Montgomery county, I instantly felt welcomed and felt they wanted my business. I was greeted in the parking area and quickly explained the details of their services and accommodations they offer. The quality of work was also outstanding and exceeded my expectations. What can I say about this place other than if I could give the negative stars I would... I had gotten into an accident where I slid in the rain and popped my two front tires. I had it towed to the closest auto shop that the AAA tow truck driver recommended which was classic auto body off of east diamond ave. Once I got there the staff was friendly when I told them I was going to get it fixed by them and use my insurance. The gave me a quote right away saying that it was going to cost me $3000 to fix the car. However I then found out my insurance wouldnt cover it and when I came back to them their tone changed. I told them I was going to get another quote because I was going to have to pay for it out of my own pocket and wanted to double check before I spent that much money. The guy got immediately upset and informed me that the other quote he had given me had been more than it should because he thought I was going through my insurance. Besides the obvious ethical and legal problems with that statement I told him that I still might go through him if he can do it cheaper but I was still going to get a second opinion. He got upset about this and then proceeded to tell me that if I was going to get a second opinion then that was the only quote he was going to give me. I took it to another auto shop which was a friend of mine that I trust but didnt got to because he tends to be on the more expensive. Once the other shop looked at my car they were shocked at the original quote and told me that half the things on there didnt need to be fixed at all and the ones that he did the prices for the parts and time didnt quite match up with what they should be. Bottom line is they tried to charge me 3000 to fix my car where the other place was able to fix it for 800, saving me $2,200 of my own hard earned money. If you are thinking about going to this store DONT, go to Precision Auto instead. read more

My experience with Classic Autobody was great from start to finish. They were extremely helpful and the fact that the offer a lifetime warranty on their repairs coupled with their Honda Certification solidified them as my choice to perform the repairs (damaged front fender, front bumber, headlamp, airbag impact bar, etc.).They fixed up my 2017 Honda Civic to exactly the way it was before I was hit. In fact they left it even better and fixed a small break in my pinstripe on the opposite side of the damaged part of my car! I could not be happier with their workmanship and quality of repair. I will reccomend them to anyone who needs body work in the future and will continue to use them myself for all future accident repairs! read more

"Worst place to get anything powder coated or painted!" Worst customer service and the whole family never calls you back. You end up leaving messages after messages. It's a shame you have to keep calling them yourself over and over to get any response to only hear that they haven't finished or neither touched on any item you have presented to them. They have no worry on finishing a job unless it's on their schedule. They lie about time frames on objectives to be done. Communication is the worst at this business. Anyone reading this I hope you find another place to suit your needs of any powder coating or paint!!! They will also leave customers orders outside on the ground for damage to happend. Denny gave me an estimate for replacing my bumper at a great price and was even able to fit me in a short 2 days later. It only took about an hour for them to install it and I simply enjoyed my Taco Bell breakfast in their comfortable lobby while I waited. They were quick, did a great job and made it a very pleasant experience. read more

This place doesn't understand how valuable time is to their clients. When I called to schedule a week ahead to drop off the car and they couldn't tell me they are running 3 weeks behind! If it weren't for my uncle, I'd never agree to take the car back there for repair. This is not how you manage business. After the repair, I'll decide on how many people I'd tell to or not to use their service. I service hundreds of clients and this type of service isn't going to work with me! This is a first-rate, professional company that treats is customers like royalty and does work of the highest quality. My Toyota was restored to *brand new* condition following unintended contact with a school bus. I simply cannot believe it is the same car; the work is superior and exemplary. As for customer service: I was treated with respect and courtesy; my insurance claim was handled flawlessly; Classic Auto Body quickly and efficiently arranged a rental for me. I took my car to Classic to replace a mirror that was knocked off. Classic had all the parts next day and installed it next day as well. I was very pleased with the customer service and quick turn around. The price beat all other auto shops in G-burg and I would recommend them to anyone. If i could give zero stars I would give several negative stars!!! I expected for a shop with a good rep like theirs and the so called experience my vehicle would come back to me looking almost new, but instead I received a vehicle back full of bondo dust throughout the entire vehicle, an additional $2,500- $3,000 than originally quoted!!, parts that I requested to be saved lost and so called not found!, a brand new battery totally swapped out with a old battery that wasn't even the same brand lol as if I wasn't going to notice that, brand new parts with holes tapped in them, bent roof and the list goes on and on and on!!! Take my advice and stay the hell away from these people!!! They seem genuine and great people but are the total opposite!! Not to mention my vehicle was sent to another shop to be worked on without my permission then to make matters worst I called two hrs before arriving to pick up my vehicle and they didn't have the common curtesy to have it brought back to the shop I dropped it at, instead I had to drive it 1 hr away to pick it up and oooh I had a $200 tow bill to have them tow it to the other body shop that I didn't authorize them to send it to!! read more
