Sunday night, my car wouldn't start. I had it towed to superior on Sunday night and it was there…read morefor them first thing Monday morning. Superior noted on the invoice that the car was dead on arrival. Said they tested the battery and that they were able to start the vehicle with starting fluid after multiple attempts. Well, to me that means there were something wrong with the car battery. They got the car running and charged me $155. They kept the car all day, over seven hours to do the safety maintenance inspection that I didn't ask for. They didn't ask me either. Two days later, the car would not start again. I called superior to let them know and they said that the battery was OK when it was there. The battery was dead in their own words when they checked it. I don't understand why they didn't replace the battery. I was unable to go to work on my new job on Wednesday, I would think that an auto service center would recognize when a battery needs replaced.. I am homeless and sleeping in my car. I have no money to get it towed. Fortunately, somebody helped me in the Walmart parking lot to get the car running so I can drive it to a Walmart service center. If that kind person did not help me, I would've been stuck there. I would not have been able to go to work. I wouldn't had a place to sleep. Anyway, I think they should've changed the battery on Monday when the car was in their shop. I think they should've recognized that since it was dead on Sunday and Monday and it was a really old battery, they should have replaced it. Since they didn't, it was a big hassle for me not going back to Superior auto service again. It said on the invoice that they recommended that I monitor it. That is ridiculous. I'm supposed to just drive the car around and hope that it starts when I get back in. I would have to have an expense of it being towed. Shouldn't they fix the car so you don't get stranded somewhere ? Walmart charged me $150 for the battery and instillation. Superior charged me $155 and didn't fix the car. They just gave me a list of $2000 worth of stuff that needed to be Repaired.

Thankfully, nobody was hurt. My car? Not so much. A headlamp and front quarter panel lost a high five with the reinforced back of a panel truck somewhere down South on the way to visit family. Upon return to Maryland, my insurance company and I made arrangements to have work done by Zamora's. They had years ago done some excellent work on another car we have. This shop is what makes me so happy to support American Small Business. Their location was clean and well-managed. My service coordinator, Alex, always kept me up to date on technical proceedings with my car. When it finally came time for pickup, my car nearly looked brand new. Panel lines lined up, no orange peel in the paint, and the color match was flawless as they clearly secured manufacturer paint. All repairs were clearly itemized and the payment was made efficiently from my insurance. I will assume prices were reasonable / consistent with the market as my insurance provider did not balk at the quote. I am very pleased with the work they did and would vigorously recommend them to anyone else who might need auto repair work done. Motor well (and safely) my friends!

Extremely Unprofessional and Repeatedly Misleading…read more I brought my car to Champion Collision on Diamond Avenue after an accident in June 2025. I was initially told it would be ready by July 18. That date came and went with no communication from the shop. I only found out it would be delayed the day before I was supposed to pick it up -- and this pattern repeated multiple times. Each week, I was told "early next week" or "by the end of the week," and every single time the car was still not ready. The worst part is I had to call them every time to find this out. They never once reached out on their own to update me or notify me of delays. The final straw came when a manager promised 100% that the car would be ready, so I drove over an hour from DC to Gaithersburg, only to be told -- again -- that the car wasn't ready. I also contacted their corporate office and spoke to someone named Jennifer, who was sarcastic and unhelpful, saying her "hands were tied" and refusing to let me speak to a supervisor. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had with any business, let alone a collision repair shop. I've wasted time, gas, and energy chasing answers -- and the job still isn't done. Save yourself the stress and take your car somewhere else.

He was able to patch, balance, and mount the tire in 10 mins for a very reasonable price. They also do body work here and I asked for a quote on some minor rear panel damage. He offered a very competitive quote and explained the reasons for the cost. If I end up going through with the work I'll write an updated post with before and after pictures. Highly recommend for tire/basic automotive work so far.
