I was in a motor vehicle accident and looked online for a nearby shop. I decided to bring my car to Imperial Auto Body of Rockville because of the stellar reviews on Google. I was highly disappointed with the services provided. I recommend others to take their business elsewhere. I had informed the person who performed the intake that my car was making a lot of noises when operating which it never did prior to the accident. I also told this to the mechanic. However, they didn't look into it, didn't fix the problem. It would be greatly appreciated if they inform customers that they cannot perform the work so we can take our car elsewhere. The staff was great, they were responsive, knowledgeable, and reliable, and made the whole process of getting body work done on our Mustang very seamless. Part of the work was through an insurance claim and part of the work was out of pocket, so they pulled it all together, making it easy to accomplish. 3rd time having my Range Rover serviced here and I can't say enough good things about this business. Have had 3 total interactions. All three times a parked car was hit. All three of those three times the person who did it was either witnessed (video too x 2) or left a note admitting it. Two cars - one red and one metallic blue and complex aluminum shaped. Work was superb/perfect. Work was on or ahead of schedule (I did have a connection with parts on the one case that needed OEM new hard to get parts- his team is good but I had an inside corporate connection so the part was a day or two not the normal month or three - this was in the height of covid). Owner and staff: amazing. Polite. Knowledgeable. Professional. Good listeners and very patient. I plan to use them any time I need this sort of service...hopefully less often but my cars get parked.... In all seriousness, have had some serious body shops in the past - one before in another state was behind Daytona 24 Porsche repairs and work/liveries and was my prior "best" shop - this shop is better. Another was a famous East coast master shop using only German paint (had a German car at the time) sort of shop. Am a car guy but also a realist. Cars in all cases come out as good or better than new, no dust, no mess, just the best I've ever seen. Pricing was fair too. Let's put it this way. The blue metallic car was a two time parked and hit car. I stared at the paint on the unaffected side in super bright light with magnifying glasses after his first work on the car. Then I looked at the new area. This is a super complex paint with layers and layers and layers of paint - it is old school master stuff if you are a car person. Expensive, top tier luxury car metallic paint. The stuff people pay big bucks for on some brands. The area his team did was exactly the same stuff. Exactly. Flecks, depth, etc. I really like this shop if you cannot tell. I have no financial or other relationships that would be considered a conflict of interest - it is just an amazingly well run and running shop. 10 out of 5 stars. read more

I was told I could get a repair estimate over the phone. I rushed over and arrived before the individual on the phone requested. They said they had no awareness of me coming. After an employee said he was going to go yell at staff, he took pictures to estimate my car. I did not receive any follow-up, and when I followed-up with them, they said their system could not complete the estimate. They failed to inform me of this. They also failed to have a protocol in place to know what cars they can and cannot estimate despite the fact that I informed them of the old car over the phone. read more

I am so happy with the service I received from Imperial. They were recommended to me by Progressive. They put together an estimate less than 24 hours after I dropped off my car. It only took them a week to repair damage to the entire front end of my car. My car looks beautiful and sooo clean on the outside. They cleaned my dirty tires and hubcaps to the point that they look new. The receptionist is very friendly and professional. They even gave me a breast cancer awareness tee since it's October. Did everything I could ask for when the work was being paid by GEICO. Inspected the vehicle, filed supplements on behalf of me, and ordered correct parts for the damages to be fully repaired. I initially though they messed up some sensors on the car but it turns out that I was fool. Calbert and Anthony were patient and discussed any issues over the emails and in person. There are some lingering issues - e.g., to the replaced glass for the driver side. Hopefully the noise will eventually disappear. Calbert explained that because the chrome trim around the window was replaced, some materials that directly contact the glass may still be too stiff and is causing the noise. I also rented a car from Enterprise which was right across the way -- super convenient. My only small complaint is that the young woman working the front desk is less than friendly. My brand new vehicle got scratched in a parking lot, go figure. My insurance company had recommended Imperial to me. Having not dealt with them before and having dealt with so many (shady) autobody repair companies, I was very defensive and hesitant at first. There were a bunch of hiccups in the beginning, I wouldn't blame Imperial; it was more of a lack of communication from my insurance carrier with Imperial. I did get estimated a 4-day turn-around, which appalled me (4 days to fix my front bumper scratch? You have got to be kidding me). But to my surprise, they finished in 2. The check in and check out process was quick and painless, Carl was super patient with my nutball-self, and their prices for high-end vehicle body repairs are very fair, especially given that the vehicles are high end. I cannot recommend Imperial Auto Body enough! I dropped my car off on a Tuesday morning and it was ready by that Friday, even with them having to order numerous parts. My bumper had significant damage from hitting a guardrail due to the slippery roads and after Imperial worked on it, you could never tell there was even a scratch on it. When I dropped off my car, the person who checked me in told me what to expect and helped guide me through the process, which was comforting since I had never had to get my car fixed before. I had booked a rental car and the person who helped me at Imperial called Enterprise for me and scheduled someone to pick me up, which was another thing off my plate. A few hours after I dropped my car off, I received a call from Jason with an estimated timeline that they were able to make. He let me ask any questions that I had and told me what to expect when I came to pick up my car. He called me again days later, a few hours hours before my car was ready and let me know it would be ready for pick up. I picked up my car Friday afternoon and was able to leave my rental with the person who handed me my car keys, which was another convenience that Imperial provided. I am hoping that I will not need to get any work done on my car anytime soon but if I do, I know I'll be taking my car to Imperial. read more

So grateful to Imperial for such an amazing job on BP's Civic.we were referred by Progressive, but the shop accepts Geico ( an other policies) customers, as well. I cannot get over how amazing the car looks (it's like the accident never happened) and the techs also washed the car AND vacuumed the inside! Over been meaning to do that for MONTHS and did a fantastic job! The whole interior is polished and the car smelled amazing. We also absentmindedly left CDs and a couple dollars behind and nothing was misplaced or stolen. Amazing service! I've never been so impressed! I get a little paranoid with anything car related because I usually get an upcharge and get taken advantage of (probably because I'm a young, short female that knows nothing about cars), so I ALWAYS get a second or third opinion. Here's the backstory... I failed my MD car inspection for having a small gap in my rear bumper and loose tabs on the front bumper of my Camry. I got into an accident last year and the two body shops I went to didn't do such a great job. I was left with slightly botched bumpers. After my inspection, I was referred to a body shop near me that gave me an estimate around $200 just to glue the rear less than 1/4th of an inch. I decided to get a second opinion and drove to Imperial just to get a quote. Imperial took a look at my car and thought it was ridiculous that I had failed the inspection for something so minor! Since writing up an estimate would end up being around $200, they decided just to fix it for me for FREE on the spot. They had 4 guys working on it and I was out of the shop in an hour. I can't believe they didn't charge me a single penny for the work they did! I will for sure be going to them if I need any of their services again. They are honest, generous people who do great work! My car has never looked better! Everyone over there is extremely nice and there is coffee/tea in the comfy waiting area. The office is very clean and there is always someone at the front desk. I had a parking lot mishap, and I was looking for a reputable paint shop in the Montgomery County area to get my rear bumper repainted. I found out about this place from the North American Subaru Impreza Owners Club forum (NASIOC.com), and figured I would give it a shot. The people on this forum are Subaru enthusiasts and are VERY particular about the performance, care, and appearance of their cars, so I knew I could trust their reviews. I was thoroughly impressed with the service and turn around time at Imperial Auto Body of Rockville when they repainted my rear bumper on my 2008 Forester Sports XT. My bumper was repainted before (from a previous encounter with an underground parking garage column), but after two years the clear coat and paint was flaking off from the edges of the bumper. The minute I came in, I was greeted respectfully and they provided all the details I needed to know - a price quote, turnaround time, and even made arrangements for me to be picked up at the local Enterprise rental center. The price was very competitive, and the paint match was great! They even finished the job two days in advance! The repainted bumper is still holding up really well. These guys are REALLY good.
