a couple of weeks ago some poor reflex-challenged camry driver rear-ended me on the way into SF which really put a damper on my attitude for the evening - i was all charged for a T.I.T.S. show at cafe du nord with some CL stars and usual suspects. (eric you workaholic, you missed out. also Citay was badass) in any event, the dude's insurance company (state farm, props to them for making stuff easy) took care of everything. classic auto craft was the referral, and they did an incredible job. they usually work on benzos (there was an SLR mclaren in for service when i dropped off my SRT, no joke) but my car looked better than new when i got it back. I took my BMW x3 there for repair. After 2 weeks, the car was ready. Over the phone, they gave me a price of $5261.95 and my insurance company was going to pay a big chuck of it. I was ready to go pickup the car. They were going to charge my credit card. All was done! 24 hours later they called me and they said, oh .. We are so sorry, our computer made a made a mistake and did not add another part and now I owe them $5600. I told them "I am not a happy camper...". They did not care. Absolutely a great team of people and highest standard of work. Brought in my babied Jeep Grand Cherokee after an oak tree modified my roof, windshield and front end in a storm. Everybody was customer service oriented and I felt comfortable through the process from estimate of work to delivery of the finished vehicle. They minimized my inconvenience with accurate estimates of work completion and transport to southern Marin. In the next heavy rains my sun roof leaked buckets and thinking it might be their work I brought my Jeep back in. They quickly diagnosed the plugged drains from tree leaves....and flushed years of debris and dried my interior without charge. The bid was competitive with other highly rated body shops, but the big surprise was that the final invoice was well below their original quote, while having done a perfect job on our car. Let me preface this by saying I paid out of pocket for the work done to my car as I have liability insurance so my car was not covered for repair. Mark gave me an estimate that was extremely reasonable and much less than what I anticipated paying for repairs to my bumper. Mark and his team were incredible and kept me informed of any updates with the repairs. Mark was unhappy with the work that had been done on my bumper (he had it sent to a place that specializes in this kind of repair) and he immediately sent it back and made them fix it. This of course took longer keeping me in my rental for longer. The fact that Mark was determined to give me the best quality and keep my price no larger than the estimate he gave me piece of mind and I didn't mind the extra time it took for the repairs. Quality work, quality customer service, and great pricing. I would recommend Classic Auto Craft to anyone. God forbid I ever have another need, I wouldn't go to anyone else. I am so glad Marin Toyota recommended Classic Auto Craft. I damaged the spoiler on my 2005 Toyota 4 Runner. Another well known Body Shop [name starts with a B] wanted to replace the spoiler with a new one [estimate over $800], or a used one [estimate over $700]. William at Classic said they could remove the spoiler, do a cosmetic repair and I could return in a few days to reinstall it. Cost was only $448! Removal and installation only took 15 minutes so no need to rent a car. They did an excellent repair - spoiler looks like new and the paint matches perfectly.
