Jerry and his team do incredible work of the highest quality. They are responsive, communicative, and extremely professional. Thankfully the other parties' insurance has always covered the damages, but their prices are unmatched for this level of service. My car has unfortunately been hit 3 times in the last 18mo. After the first 2 accidents I asked Jim Falk Lexus in Beverly Hills who they recommend for repairs and without hesitation they recommended Classic Auto Repair. Jerry's team drove to meet me in Beverly Hills (about 45 mins away from their shop) to perform the initial estimate and evaluation. A very short time later, my car was back and literally looked brand new! Even though my car has a unique Lexus color, they matched it perfectly. Unfortunately about a month ago I was hit again and there was nowhere else I'd even consider given the level of work they did last time. I didn't have the shop's phone number saved in my phone and when I googled Classic Auto Repair I mistakenly selected Classic Collision which is right down the street. When I scheduled a time to drop off the car I noticed the location looked different. I did an area search and found I was at the wrong location. Classic Collision even lied to me over the phone and said they completed my last repair. I immediately drove over to Jerry's shop where I instantly recognized the same team and they saw me right away even though they weren't expecting me. Jerry helped coordinate vehicle drop off, the rental car reservation, and even handled the typical insurance company run-around. It did not take them long at all to get the car back to me and it somehow looks even better than expected (even with my ridiculously high standards). I truly could not imagine taking my car anywhere. He even allowed us to drop the vehicle off at the dealership so he could pick it up on a trailer, take it to his shop, and then bring it back to the dealership when the work was complete, which made the whole process incredibly convenient. He kept me updated every step of the way with clear communication, which is rare these days. The shop turned the job around in less than a week, while other bodyshops quoted me 3-4 weeks and charged substantially more. The repair quality is great; the panels align perfectly and the paint matches seamlessly. If you don't know, Lexus paint is very difficult to match properly, and I can confidently say now that Classic Auto Repair has got it down. They offered a solid, fair price. AVOID! Cannot recommend going here. We had an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience with this collision repair center. We found the work to be shockingly poor with several defects. This shop was recommended by Jim Falk Lexus of Beverly Hills. We met Peter who was a nice enough guy to inspect the car and show us the shop in Van Nuys and we talked to and received an estimate of repairs from the owner Jerry. They assured us that they work on Lexus vehicles and would do an excellent job. They offered to pick up and drop the car at Jim Falk Lexus. The paperwork for the estimate was comprehensive and detailed listing all of the work to be performed. Apparently, they performed the work in about two days and it showed. When we received the vehicle back we were shocked at the poor quality and workmanship. There were multiple runs of paint that had dripped down the doors and dried. Trim pieces were reused and scratched. The "new" body and paint work showed multiple pits/holes and defects in the work. This was very disappointing for work being performed on a new car when were assured this repair facility was experienced working on Lexus vehicles and would make the repairs look like it was new prior to the damage. We contacted the owner, Jerry, but were rushed off the phone without rectifying the issue and without receiving any voicemail or returned message follow up. Why would you return a vehicle to a customer in that poor of condition? We looked on www.lexuscollisioncenter.com and were surprised to learn this shop is not even a Lexus authorized repair center! Their work on our car was inspected by several collision centers who quickly identified the defects in their incorrect and substandard work and provided new estimates. We had to take the vehicle to a new collision centers to completely redo the job and were much easier to work with. We would not ever do business with Classic Auto Repair in Van Nuys and they are not eligible to work on any of our Lexus vehicles. read more

Thank goodness I found CLASSIC AUTO REPAIR when I needed to get my beloved LEXUS LC500 fixed after it was hit. They were recommended to me by Lexus of Beverly Hills. As the car is a higher end "exotic" I was extremely apprehensive about getting the repairs done at the right place. As it turns out I was at the right place. Jerry, the owner, primarily does expert body work on Lexus vehicles, and he clearly loves what he does, and loves his business. This was clearly evident when I dropped my car off and he took me on a tour of the place, proudly sharing with me his very fancy paint compressor, and around the facility. Jerry repaired my car in a timely fashion, to where I can't tell there was ever any damage, he matched the very precise Lexus paint job perfectly. But that was only part of the reason why I recommend this business so enthusiastically - he ordered the damaged panels for me before even having money in hand from the other party's insurance, taking a chance on his part on me following through to do the work there. He not only communicated what was going on with my car every step of the way, but he also took me to the rental place and argued on my behalf with them for a car equal to the type/class of mine. Not only did Jerry help me get a better rental, and justified with the insurance company, he also is in the process of helping me get sorted with the diminished value claim I need to file. When I dropped off my rental to pick up my finished car one of his guys, Peter, picked me up at the rental place and drove me to the body shop. While on the way he told me that he'd been with Classic Auto Repair, and Jerry for 10 or 11 years, and the rest of his employees the same. That said a lot to me, not only did Jerry recruit guys that are into their job, but he treats them well, with respect, and Peter told me he really enjoys working there. I am updating my review of Classic Auto Repair and giving them 5 stars again because Jerry goes above and beyond for his clients. Someone hit my car while it was parked and damaged my bumper. I went back to Jerry and through my insurance. Turns out that my insurance wanted order used parts. Although I'm all for repurposing and creating less waste, Jerry had some safety concerns and did not recommend this for my particular model. So after being rear-ended, I decided to look around for an auto body place. Look around for ones near Encino and saw the good reviews Classic Auto Repair had. I called them up and spoke with the owner Jerry. I asked if I could pop by to get a quote and said they were available to help. I arrived within 10 minutes and immediately was helped by Jerry. He took a look at the damage and gave me a very reasonable quote. I also had some other scratches and dings I wanted to take care of at the same time and asked for another quote for those as well. He bundled the work and gave me a very fair quote and time frame of 3 days. I happily accepted. Dropped off my car Monday morning. Tuesday afternoon I got a call from Jerry regarding an issue with my rear bumper. A previous auto body used some weird putty to fix a prior dent and their paint did not dry correctly. They had to redo the bumper and delayed it one more day. It's the small things like calling me and giving me a heads up that makes this place great to work with. They also didn't nickel and dime me for the redo of the rear bumper. Anyways, I got my car the next morning without any issue. They did a great job, took care of all the scratches and some other ones I forgot to mention. The are officially my go to auto body place. I will be more than happy to send them any referrals.
