By far the worse online catalog exploring website. I spent over half hour looking for disc brake calipers with e-brakes. All I need is the caliper. That's it! I had to go through all the pages just to find out they don't have them on the website. They offer the ones without e-brake. Just stupid. This is my third review. As part of my complete rebuild of a 71 C10, I ordered the Currie 9" with the coil over package. When I opened the box, I discovered Currie accidentally forgot to include the gasket and hardware. This is apparently very unusual, and I learned that customers often accidentally throw these items away. In my case, I called CPP and conferred with Van Vanderlip. I was concerned that CPP and/or Currie would be resistant to sending me the parts I need. However, Van took care of everything for me and the parts are on the way. Bought a power steering kit for a 62 Nova, had problems with it right away, contacted CPP and they told me to change the type of fluid. The steering box continued to be tight and now one year later is leaking. I called and they told me since I bought this on their eBay store it only had a 30 day warranty. I purchased a tilt column for my 1955 chevy. When I installed it the tilt moved up and down when it should not. I called them and they told me if I didn't want the tilt to move the I should have purchased the more expensive column. I opened up the column and found out that a pin holding the gears was to small and it was letting the gear move replaced it with a bigger one problem solved ???? I'm in the process of rebuilding and restoring a 1966 Chevelle 2 door sedan. With the assistance of Van Vanderlip @ CPP, I've obtained the quality parts needed to rebuild the complete suspension and to upgrade to tubular control arms and power disc brakes. Van is knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and responds quickly to calls and emails. After spending $2500+ with CPP, I feel Van's advice has added tremendous value to my purchases. OK guys I am not usually in the business of dissing vendors but I am growing more irritated over the last day about an experience with CPP and I will responsibly choose to communicate this irritation to the community.... All in all I am a very accepting of conditions sort of guy. I buy items and get things done and am always "rolling with the punches" for lack of a better term. In this case, the condition of service has put me in a position that I must communicate I am being given a dis service. And in the future will choose to look at other options for products that compete if the service is better!!! I have the full CPP IFS setup on my Nova. It is a decent deal and the build quality may not be perfect but it works and was a good cost. I had to do "fettling" and the instructions weren't up to par, but never complained about that. What I am complaining about is service. I had a mishap with a tow truck service bending a control arm. I discovered the bend and called CPP to order direct from them. They refused to accept an order and pointed me to ebay and told me to order the control arm there. I went to ebay and found this arm and it is described as "Mustang II IFS Lower Tubular Control Arms A-Arm Kit Independent Front Suspension" https://www.ebay.com/itm/264380179060?ViewItem=&item=264380179060 I purchase the set (even though I only needed one) and then received them to a friends house for installation. We got ready to install and discovered these arms were wrong and they do not support the IFS (cpp) that I have as I have coil overs. I was not told this detail and the ad does not give reference to any disclaimer that there is fitment or compatibility issues. In fact it says "Compatible with both deluxe and economy-style Mustang II crossmembers" So I call them to ask about this product and was told "you bought the wrong one"..... I said OK then, I explained I am invested in the thousands to them on this IFS and would like to work out a return and replacement and would happily pre pay as a deposit a new set to be shipped to me. And they said "OK we can do that but it will take 3 weeks and we will not give you free shipping!" Then I ask why they wont give me free shipping as it is listed in ebay for free shipping as well as this is a mishap with a honest customer. He says to me "it doesn't work that way". Then I say "OK then, I will refund this and pay shipping to you, and I will purchase the correct ones with free shipping" Then he says "WE DON'T HAVE YOUR SPECIFIC ITEM ON EBAY AND YOU HAVE TO ORDER DIRECT!!! and with NO FREE SHIPPING." At this moment of discovery I am in full circle and can only laugh at the idiocrity of the situation. I am not angry but I am disappointed. My sight on the goal is still really in line so aside from this madness, I just want to return the product and will pay shipping and what not and get this fixed and move on. He says "you will have a email by end of day with return order". Now that was yesterday. Today I call and this girl answers and I go through this and ask again for a break on the shipping and she dismisses me and says "because you incorrectly ordered, we cannot do anything for you". Then I say "are you going to send me a RMA return slip?" she says "by end of day you will get an email"... Then she hangs up... This exchange is disgusting. I am going to cool off but serious, I am contemplating buying a different rack just because and making a big video of this and then dumping this thing off in front of their building. Maybe during their next cruise open house!!! Least that's what I want to do hahaha I am too lazy in reality hahahh What I will do is suggest nobody deal with them unless you want to be treated like badly after spending over 2000$...... Their ad on eBay explicitly states that the kit is bolt-on with no fabrication needed. Ha! Hardly the case. Not only is the kit NOT bolt-on, but there are also no instructions for most of it. A call to their technical assistance line was finally returned nine days later when I was out of the country. An email to their customer contact line has not been returned even though it's been over two weeks. So you've been warned! Do not do business with this company. Absolutely no customer service. They do not take returns so now I'm stuck with a pile of useless crap. read more

Bad customer service, no concept of taking care of the customer. I bought a Front Spindle and Disk brake kit from them, and their was a leaking caliper. Leaking from the piston. I called and was put on hold told 6 times my estimated wait was 3 minutes. I was on hold 20 minutes. When I told the man what the issue was I was told policy is: 1) remove the part and ship it to them, UPS Ground 2) they will evaluate if it is truly leaking, and if so ship me a new one. 3) estimated time to get a new caliper 2 weeks. I would have to pay my Mechanic to store it for 2 weeks while I wait for their process. What I wanted?? 1) Take my CC, and ship me a new Part Next day (NO Charge) 2) have me ship the old one back for evaluation 3) If it holds pressure then charge me for the replacement I deal in computers, and I get this kind of advance return part system all the time, on parts that cost 4X what the stuff they sold me cost. This company should learn customer service, or close the doors!!! read more

I spent $1,100 on a C5 Spindle Disc Brake Kit. They failed to include the brake lines and hardware in the box. I contacted them through their vendor (Summit) repeatedly for the missing parts. After six weeks of runaround, I finally get a hold of them just to be subtly accused of trying to rip them off for $50 brake lines. Instead of supplying the missing parts, they'd like me to buy them instead. They're rude, condescending, and well on their way to going out of business due to their shady practices and abysmal customer service. read more

My review is for the tech line. Every time I call in maybe once a year, I am on hold for 20-30 minutes and always 1 in their que system. So frustrating. You spend your money with these guys and the instructions/tech help is sparse. Products are fine it just the lousy tech assist and hold times. Update: This is in response to the owner's kind explanation of their issues at cpp. I appreciate your response however, if business is that good for you why not hire more tech's. Even before the pandemic it was long hold times. Its just getting old. As stated the products seem fine its the lack of tech. It may help if instructions were more detailed and had images to look at to ensure installs are accurate. read more

I've been using CPP for over 8 years, have owned around 60 classic cars and brokered the export of around 300 vehicles to Australia most of which have had parts from this company. Now I will not be using them anymore. I bought a steering box for my 76 Cadillac Eldorado over the phone with a salesperson, he said it was a "direct replacement". With the box, filter and rag joint it was almost $500 which I thought was pretty pricey but expected it to be good quality. After the install my beautiful caddy went from one finger steering to almost two hands and driving like an absolute truck. I explained this to a rep and they said it couldn't be returned after it has been installed. Now starts nearly TWO MONTHS of spending HOURS on the phone to talk some sense into them, waiting for phone calls I never received, being on hold and given the classic BS runaround. They finally agreed to take the steering box back and the rag joint but not the filter with a 20% restocking fee. I spent another three hour round trip to take it back to be left waiting for nearly an hour while a QC looks over it which they didn't do and said they would call me. They then tell me they won't take the $50 rag because it has a slight tear (it had 3 miles on it) and it was missing a washer. They never took responsibility for misrepresenting the product. A direct replacement is exactly that, a direct replacement. If it is any different in how it functions or if it completely changes the characteristics of the car it is not. All the rep had to say is that the steering will be a bit tighter and not as easy to steer as the original box and this never would have happened. I was happy to cop the 20% restocking fee, happy to cop not being able to return the filter, happy to cop the 20-30 hours this ordeal has taken away from me and happy to cop the two months of being screwed around and not being able to use my car. But not refunding me on the rag joint is the final straw. In all fairness Moses the guy that helped was a nice guy, I feel like this is a 'higher up issue'. Plenty of other parts shops I'll be redirecting clients to. I used red head steering gear to rebuild my original box for $270 and they were an absolute pleasure to deal with. Shipped to them, rebuilt and back in 10 days. read more

Bought break kit three times, all three times kit didn't work. It either leaked or malfunctioned. Never buying from CPP or CPP brands.

This place uses China made products that they won't back them when they fail. I bought a complete suspension set and slotted rotors. One of the rotors did not have a rise and unfortunately it was not noticeable at instal to me as I trusted all would be in order. All else went grate with installing and a minute into test drive an awful noise came from breaking system. I disassembled the rotors and brakes come to find out that the rotor was lose and was rubbing against the dust shield destroying the rotor. I took it back to them and was advised that they were not looking to warranty a 5 day old system, because the QC is very good at ccp and they would never let it go that way. Which is laughable because when I went to pick up my order they picked out 2 sets and I was kind enough to tell that they gave me too many parts. They did take my return request but basically told me to beat it and send them a picture of the spindle. Why the F" would they want a photo of spindle the bearing saved the spindle and it was a one minute ride. read more

ordered disc brake conversion for 1969 c10. The calipers with pads inserted would not fit around the supplied rotors. I called service and all the could do was verify that the part numbers on the boxes I received were correct. I asked where the caliper was sourced and told me it was off of a late 70's f body, an off the shelf part. Doing some digging I found the number stampoed on the supplied caliper did not match what they were telling me. I bought a set of calipers and pads from advance and they worked fine. I relayed this to CPP custormer service and they then ignored me, and would not return calls. Buyer beware. read more

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!! 0 interest in helping you after they get their money. My $1700 kit came Without instructions or an inventory list. I called for a set of instructions and inventory list (email.) The service tech told me to print out instructions for a TCI (total cost involved) kit, which made me wish I would've went with TCI's kit. What if the top hats or cross member are different measurements? After 30 mins reviewing inventory with the tech, I was told I had everything. He must not have been paying attention during the call. Last week I started the install to find I was missing $80 worth of nuts and bolts (per the techs quote). I wasn't rude or inappropriate. I simply requested the parts. I was told "absolutely not". I had 30 days to make the request or I'm responsible for parts that weren't provided in the kit. TCI's inventory sheet doesn't require the parts I was missing. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. Any company willing to milk its customer this hard isn't worth doing business at all. I spent $2k on parts, just to get jacked for more money. I found the bolts for 1/4 the price from Speedway Motors.... complete regret on the purchase. Spend the extra money and go with a better fab company. TCI, Fatman, or any of the other businesses who do quality Control, provide a checklist, and instructions. I should've done more research before purchasing. Plenty of people here stating the same. read more
