Story time! I'll admit I am not mechanically inclined so judge me how you will... I needed a few things. The fluids and basics I was good. Knew what I needed and where to go to get it. The problem was I needed some fuses and a relay. I'm standing at this wall of colorful lil plastic squares so long I finally take a seat on the floor and continue to try to figure out which one I need. I hear a "ma'am, do you need help?" "Probably but I like to think of myself as independent and self sufficient so give me a bit more and I'll be up if I can't get it". Finally make my way to her like okay I need you. We go through my make and model and she's looking things up. I'm showing the pics I took of the fuses inside my car. She almost knows what I need. She asks did you see the pins? Are they long or short. LOL I never pulled them out. I have no clue. This poor woman is legit trying so hard to get me what I need and not have me buy things I don't. After standing there a bit I look at her and ask something I probably should have started with. This poor woman bless her she didn't slap me cuz she had every right to want to... I say "hmmm should I go pull them out of the car?" She looks at me. After picking her jaw up off the floor says "YOUR CAR IS OUTSIDE?!" Lmaoooo Jessica I love you!!! You're an angel!! I got my battery tested and it was bad so I went in for a new one before work. I bought a 200$ battery and I asked if they could help me out it in (like all websites and ads say they do) and he told me no. I asked to use a tool and couldn't figure it out with my nails so I started crying due to being overwhelmed and then asked if he could pls pls help because he's supposed to or that's what's advertised and he raised his voice saying it's just 2 workers and has to be at the front desk for customers... there was no customers in there also am I not a customer? He ended up helping but couldn't put it on? He then blew a fuse... he called him mechanic and tried to fix it but was going to charge me more... there was no communication with me. They left me out there in the cold I guess while they figured it out so I had to call a tow truck to take me home... they blew a fuse!!! And I had to pay for a tow truck! A small problem turned big. Citlali's and Jessica are extremely rude and very unprofessional. They should be fired immediately. I came to purchase a jump starter, and it didn't work. I came right back, not even 5 min later to return it. Citlali's and Jessica were giving me a hard time giving me every excuse in the book as to why they felt they didn't want to accept the return and kept saying no they can't return it. Citlali said "I don't even have enough money for the shit". Mind you this is MOTHERS DAY WEEKEND. After having to repeat myself as to what happened Jessica finally said to just go ahead and return it. They had the biggest attitude to say the least. Javier took over from here. There isn't a designated cashier apparently. They are doing it all wrong. I have an extensive retail background of 11 years. I was appalled. Be careful with this store I bought a life time warranty brakes about 10 years ago, after a few years I went to exchange them under warranty and they gave me different part number brakes so a couple a days ago I went back to exchange them under warranty again and they told me that the part was not the same number and they didn't replace them. So what they did on one of the exchange they gave me a different one so in the future they will have an excuse to stop replacing them, That is a fraud I will never go back to this place they make feel like I was trying to cheat. read more

Best experience ever! The associate Eli deserves great recognition. My battery had died and road side assistance mislead me with instructions on how to charge it. I came in with the card I purchased it with but no receipt. He was quick to ask us if we needed help with anything! I told him the whole story and he began to take time to look for my receipt transaction. After a few phone numbers, and name abbreviations, he finally tracked down the transaction! He then proceeded to explain to me how the battery, alternator works and why the battery had not charged. He also pointed out the the battery already did look swollen and since it was an extreme battery it had a 3 year warranty. After a quick test it came out bad and exchanged it. Today.. went to return an unused item. Two of the employees said the item was used, which it was not!! And gave a hard time about the return. They began having a conversation about complaining customers right in front of me as I tried to get a refund. When I asked for the manager, one of the 3 employees claimed to be the assistant manager.. he was the most unprofessional of the 3. He was confrontational and challenging... I purchased a coil for a Chevy colorado with a lifetime warranty and 6 months after it went bad so I went to the store and they didn't want to exchange the part saying that the part was a different color, so I said if the manufacturer changes their product I'll be screwed if you go to this store. When I said I was upset, the employee even suggested I go to Auto Zone instead. I went to the O'Reilly in La Palma Ave and Lincoln and they made the exchange without questions. read more

Went here first thing this morning because my battery isn't charging. They have free diagnostic testing your battery, starter, and alternator. The lady (Edu) that helped me was very helpful and knowledgeable. She took our battery in to see if it would charge... But diagnostic came back the battery is defective. :( she still continued to help is even though my battery is still under full warranty through Costco. I usually don't write review unless their service is exceptional or horrible. This is my first experience with O'Reilly Auto Parts and was very disappointed. The parts guys working the counter do not know how to research a parts book for the hard-to-find parts that I needed. I went in needing carburetor repair kits for 5 different tractors and gaskets for sediment bowls. The first person that helped me had no idea what a sediment bowl so she passed it onto another counter person. The second person vaguely knew what a sediment bowl was and was still not successful at finding this part. For the carburetor repair kits, he didn't even know how to look up within his parts book by make, year, and model. Instead of helping me out, he blew me off and my best bet was Tractor Supply Company. Very disappointed because some of my other antique tractor friends on facebook recommended O'Reilly Auto Parts. Undoubtedly, it makes a difference where the O'Reilly is located: either in the Midwest or here in Southern CA. This O'Reilly really needs to take the sign down that indicates they can get parts for farm tractors. read more

I went this morning to buy oil and filter for my car. My son gave me a specific list that included engine size etc. They happened to know nothing about the package deal on sale and sold me a package that cost more. I pick up a store ad on the way out and looked at it when I got home. Plain as day, there was the package I had asked for on the back cover of the ad. Being a girl, I don't appreciate being ripped off by car people, so I got back in my car and returned to the store with my original purchase. The fellow was nice about exchanging my oil and giving me the credit, but then asked if the oil filter in the bag was the one he sold me and I said yes. He then said he messed up and switched the oil filter for a different one, Now please note that I even gave him my registration to make sure the info I gave him was correct. So I go home again and my son does the oil change in 94 degree heat, and goes to pull the car out of the driveway when he sees that all of the oil is leaking out. WHAT ?????He gets back into the engine and finds that the oil filter is the wrong size. So now I have no oil in my car, a filter that doesn't fit and a huge oil mess in the driveway. So back to the auto store where another fellow determined that I had the wrong size filter! Duh. So he gives me the correct filter but will not give me any driveway cleaner OR oil to replace what his filter would not hold. I asked for a manager and the manager told me that it was MY responsibility to verify that I had received the correct part. The line kept getting longer and longer behind me, so they ended up giving me the oil to replace what I had already bought, but would not give me any cleaner for the driveway even though it was me that had to go to their store 3 times and now will be paying for cleaner and spending MY time cleaning the driveway. The customer isn't right at this store and either are the employees! They have lost lifetime customers in my family. And hey....thanks for being so helpful to girls. My responsibility to verify indeed ! You get paid to know this stuff, or at least to look it up correctly. read more
