Ordered the chicken salad, provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle. Opened my sandwich which was huge, much bigger than I expected. Honestly, saw the size and lost my appetite, it was just too big! Cut the half, in half and dug in....

I always get the classic Italian, including this visit. My wife was with me and got the BLT. She loved it. They offer generous portions and I like that they have a 9" sub, which for them is plenty. Too many places offer the small 6...

small 6 inch and then you have to jump to a footlong. Not this place. Their bread is outstanding and they use quality ingredients all around. Always nice up front. You can tell you're in a place that cares about its community when you see all the Little League team sponsorships they've done. I own a business and I can tell you that is much more expensive than people realize. The reciprocated bump in business with that is a little overrated too, i.e. if you're doing that it's primarily because you want to support your community. Happy to see these guys are doing well. They deserve it.

I ordered the Classic Italian. There was hardly any meat when there was supposed to be several different kinds. The lettuce and onions were hardly there and the tomato was so thin I could read through it. Now like I said, it wasn't...

Tuna salad that, on a whole wheat wrap, will be the talk of the lunch following your first child's baptism. You want hot? They have meatballs and sausage. I recommend getting both on one sandwich. That's it. No nonsense. No gimmicks....

A simple menu goes a long way. Someone in front of you, their first time in this place? You won't be worrying about them taking 17 minutes to figure out their order. -Friendly staff. The owners are usually there on weekdays. The weekend crew is solid, I assume they're carefully vetted by the leadership team. Everyone is welcoming, they acknowledge regulars, they work FAST, and they pack your food, drinks and chips perfectly in a paper bag for easy transportation with no mess. They wear branded shirts and hats for a nice clean look. You can buy a shirt. I did. I am wearing it now. -The bread is good, my friends. They bake it on site. You can get wheat or white. It's soft and fresh. No weird nuts or seeds on top, it is as smooth as a baby's bottom. -You want more than sandwiches? They have a soup of the day (I've had chicken noodle and it delivers). They have the chip standards. Plain. SC&O. BBQ. S&V. Probably some others but if those 4 don't do it for you, I don't know if you'll ever be happy with anything. They have bottled Stewart's drinks along with the pedestrian sodas. Fountain drinks as well. Pickles are good and cheap, as all pickles should be. -You can sit inside, watch a game as you eat. This bullet is fairly straightforward. -They have deals. Lunch specials. If you load a gift card it comes with a free sandwich. Sometimes there are specials you can find out about on their social media. -The toppings are fresh. Nice crisp chopped lettuce. Juicy tomatoes. Onions doing their onion thing and doing it well. I'm a fan of the chopped hot peppers (ON THE SIDE! If your father-in-law ends up splitting it with you they are too spicy for him!). They added bacon a few years back. -Great for catering. I've used them for maybe 5 events. Huge 3-foot subs on HUGE bread that feed a lot of people. Don't embarrass yourself by going with a chain sandwich restaurant. This is the spot for catering. You even get a little squeezy bottle filled with oil and vinegar. To keep. Forever. -There's a bathroom, that's a plus, right? So that is why they're my favorite. Other places nearby have bigger menus. Doesn't matter. You'll find a favorite sandwich here. I'm a #4 man myself. And again, do not sleep on the tuna wrap. I believe every review should include constructive criticism. I do sometimes wish they had fresh mozzarella. That being said, I know a lot of people from the sandwich industry that find stocking mozzy to be a challenge, so I'm not taking away any points for that. You can just roll up with a little mozzarella in your pocket to add later.

Just charge me another dollar and put some lettuce and tomatoes on it!

WOW! I never thought I'd be complaining about lettuce and tomatoes... but on a 14" sub, you need more than 4 tomatoes and 1/8 cup of lettuce. Deli meat was flat and 50% off the sub - stack that meat properly! It's just the details - the dude wrapping and dressing the sandwich must've been new because my dog would've wrapped the sub better... I'd rather go to jersey mikes... probably better than subway tho...

This place is THE BEST!!! Their lunch special is quite frankly the best lunch deal i have ever seen. It is half the size of their full size hoagie, yet it is still massive and plenty for one very hungry person, or even for two people! It also comes with a small side, all for six dollars!! The service is so quick and friendly. Ill be coming here for lunch until i cant stand to eat another hoagie :)

One of my favorite sub shops in the area! Why ANYONE would go to Wawa across the parking lot for a sandwich is beyond me. Portions are always generous and high-quality lunch meats and cheeses are used. As is requited of any decent sub shop in the area, the bread is also excellent. Staff is always friendly and happy to serve. Their new store layout for COVID mitigation is simply outstanding. If you're ordering in person, you enter Door #1, masks and social distancing are required and well labeled at the entrance and inside. If you are ordering using their website or an app, you don't even have to enter the store. Just go to Door #2, where an old shelving unit has been repurposed to place all the to-go orders on (and block entry to anyone opening the door!). Just look for your name, grab the bag, and you're on your way. My only knock on the place is the lack of options, as they only offer 16 varieties (and most of them are fairly similar). While I appreciate the mantra of "do one thing and do it well,"I'm more of a variety is the spice of life kinda guy. Still, a great local sub shop that I encourage you to check out!

I really can't see how this place has such great ratings. I'd rank them right there with Subway. A truly unremarkable sandwich. The bread is bland with nothing going for it as is the meat, which was lacking. I don't like to trash small shops but I had to put a counterpoint to all these glowing reviews. They're just not warranted imho. read more

Now that Poor Boy closed I needed to find a replacement, this place is every bit as good. Maybe even better. Service is quick and friendly. Tuna is 10/10. Italian very good also. Super quick and very reasonable prices. Best place in Hamilton. read more

Classic Sub Shop is everything a hoagie should be. Fresh, soft bread, freshly sliced meats, great add ons and staff. Store is very clean and price is spot on. Store might be small, but the staff and product speaks largely. Even had them cater two events and everyone talked and asked about the hoagies. Best sub (hoagie) shop ever to me and my family and friends, even if they are NJ Devil fans!! read more

Best hoagies around. Lunch deal is always good during the work week. Come here about 3-4 times a month, never had a bad hoagie, I've been coming for years. Prices are very fair. Ingredients are always fresh and tasty. If you want a hoagie, this is the place to go. Workers are always friendly and very rarely ever mess up the order. read more

THE best subs in NJ - hands down. The owners are cool guys..the sandwiches are always consistent and you can't beat the prices. They've been in town for a few years and they're getting very popular, with good reason. We've had them cater parties and the big orders are just as good as when I get one sandwich. read more

Stopped in for a late dinner on Saturday and was more than pleasantly surprised. This is a normal looking sub shop with no bells or whistles. Standard looking deli. They are not reinventing the wheel with their sandwiches they are just putting out really, really good sandwiches with basic fresh ingredients and quality cold cuts. Prices were very good! read more

Classic's subs are amazing, but I wasn't feeling like a sandwhich, so I was told that they also have salads and wraps! Wow, at a sub shop?? OMG, hands down, the BEST chicken salad I have EVER tasted!! I was a little leery about getting a salad from a sub shop, but I am SOOO glad I did; won't go anywhere else for chicken salad! This is my place to go to for a hoagie.Their Turkey and Tuna sandwiches are my favorites. The prices are decent compared to other sandwich places, however they do charge extra for cheese. I have been using this place for hoagies for a long time and plan on going there in future. I just wish that they had sesame seeded bread, since that is my all time favorite, but I don't mind overlooking that one minor detail since everything else is great. read more

I have driven by this sandwich shop so many times and never stopped in because it just looked like any other sandwich place. I went in tonight and was pleasantly surprised. I work in the area and my job orders from here for lunch every once in a while. I have always enjoyed the subs but yesterday after ordering from classic subs I just had to write a review. THE SUB WAS ONE OF THE FRESHEST TASTING SUBS I HAVE HAD EVER! I ordered an all cheese sub with Swiss cheddar cheese lettuce tomato sweet peppers pickles mayo and vinegar on the side. Everyone at my job was talking about how fresh their sandwich was. Absolutely delicious. read more

After church, my husband and I decided to give this place a try. Friendly staff. Prices are a bit high (pickles on your sandwich will cost you extra). I ordered a turkey sandwich on wheat, and it lacked flavor. It could be due to not having mayo or mustard on it (personal preference), but my husband commented on the bread. He did a #1 on white and it was much tastier than mine. When we were overcharged, they took care of it with no questions asked. It's reminiscent of Jersey Mikes. read more

A sub shop is a sub shop, unless it's CLASSIC Sub shop. The classic sub shop team is always friendly greeting you with a smile and a warm hello. The cold cuts are always fresh and (here's what sets them apart from others) the rolls are so fresh, soft, and delicious. The Classic Italian is my favorite among a long list of great subs offered at Classic Sub. Can't beat the combo deal for 1/2 sub, bag of chips and endless fountain drinks for around $7.00. One asks me why the floor is so sticky, another complains the ventilation is not good and our clothes will smell like food...Chicken tastes dry....don't like creamy soup....don't like balsamic sauce, blah blah blah. Well, my turkey and Brie was delicious.
