Great lobster roll typical price, the lobster cobb salad is enormous and has 7 ounces of lobster meat (I asked for butter to dip them in), the best and most generous steamers we have had in a long time at a very good price. Dock side ambiance is great, tables a bit sticky, very casual, and drinks are in thin plastic. Menu on the website is out of date. Very friendly service, Add a quarter of a star for Greenport. It's what Sag Harbor used to be and the whole north fork remains less crowded and elitist than the Hamptons. read more

I took my mother to Claudio's for a late Mothers Day brunch. We had a nice booth with views of people strolling on the side walk as well as a water view of the pier. I really enjoyed the appetizers as well as the main course which was Fish & Chips that my mother & I both ordered. Unfortunately I ate it up before I remembered to take a photo. All & all it was good service, could have been a little faster over 30 minutes for the food but not bad for a holiday. Claudio's does what it does best - serves up pretty darn good food in good portions in a timely way while providing a beautiful view for prices that are consistent with any seasonal establishment at a vacation locale. The view and the name are the highlights--but unfortunately, that's where the positives end. We came hoping to enjoy a lovely afternoon together, but the dining experience was disappointing. Food arrived at random times--some people got both their appetizer and entrée while others were still waiting for their starters. It made the meal feel disjointed and frustrating. Avoid the lobster bake unless you're okay with cold lobster. The menu says "steamed," but ours was served cold, which didn't match expectations. Our experience here was awful. The service was terrible. The server took our order and was barely seen again. After 30 minutes I had to get up and talk with the hostess to ask what happened to our food. One person ordered soup and after asking twice (not our server who was absent) it arrived ice cold. All the employees there are probably twenty- five or less. They need some "adult" supervision!! None was seen. The food was mediocre at best. I won't be back nor would I recommend. read more

This is a famous historic waterfront restaurant and attraction. Was a bit disappointed the main building was closed on 7-11-25 for renovations after making a reservation. Well staffed and very clean, but the food served does NOT match the photos. Was charged $46 for small lobster rolls having only shredded meat and no full claws as is expected. That is disgraceful and the new owners apparently are not honoring the tradition of great food. Also the $17 mixed drinks were in small cups and weak with too much ice. Sadly, my family will not return to be overcharged and underserved. read more

Claudio's Waterfront has been the dining highlight on our last two visits to Greenport. Being that Greenport is the last major central business district before the end of the North Fork in Orient Point, the village's popular restaurant has been an ideal spot for us to have lunch while driving out east on the North Fork. From my two visits here, Claudio's Waterfront is an example of the ambiance being great and the food being solid. The restaurant overlooks Greenport Harbor which is picture postcard dining. From the table, I have enjoyed taking in the postcard scenery of Greenport Harbor extending to the northern shoreline of Shelter Island. This includes boats and the Shelter Island ferry floating across the water. What better way to enjoy this picture postcard view than with a Shelter Island 114 I.P.A, named after the roadway that the ferry connects. It is 7% alcohol and costs $8. From my table, I would see boaters dock their boat and hop into Claudio's Waterfront. So it has a boating vibe to it. It also has a New England village seaside vibe because it is incorporated into the Village of Greenport business district. Where the scenery is awesome, the food is good. And a little pricey in my opinion. On the subject of pricing, during the busy summer season they charge $10 to park here. In the future, we plan to park in a Village of Greenport parking lot to avoid the $10 fee and gain a charming walk in the village. I ordered the Claudio's combo. It costed $35. The fried food featured flounder, clam strips, popcorn shrimp, scallops, fries, and cole slaw. I prefer broiled seafood to fried. When I think of fried seafood, Long John Silvers comes to mind. It is a shame that there were no broiled seafood combos on the menu, like Armando's Seafood Barge offered when it was open in Southold. To be honest, I enjoyed the Red Lobster broiled combos more. I thought that the food was good and plentiful. I made this a two parter that tasted equally as good for dinner. If my Dad was a Yelper, he'd write that he liked the two clams that he ordered as appetizers but they were not filling. Our Waitress Jess had a personality as pleasant as the Greenport Harbor besides the restaurant and as charming as the townscape in back of it. She recommended the Shelter Island 114 I.P.A., gave me sauces with the to-go bag and gave each of us a Claudio's Waterfront pen. In conclusion, I am of the impression that the harborfront dining is the main ingredient of the Claudio's Waterfront experience. The ingredients in the food is secondary. It is the ambiance of spending time overlooking the bucolic water of Long Island's East End that would make me want to return. Next time, I will most likely order the fish & chips. read more

I love Romy, Jeannie, and Careen...such genuine and kind people! they take really good care of my friends and I whenever we're in town, and they always go the extra mile to make sure we're satisfied and happy. Also, we love the very delicious food! The smash burger is a must and you cannot miss it.
