We saw five shows in Branson and this was our first choice favorite, and it is hard to say exactly why. Yes, there was great dance numbers, pretty costumes, etc. but, the show is centered on Clay himself. And he is a thoroughly enjoyable, talented, and engaging entertainer. It was such a pleasure to see just great singing. He did songs in his own style, then added his interpretation of several country favorites like Willie, Waylon, and Hank Jr. If you like Country music, you will love this show. Clay totally connected to his audience and won them over with his humor sand charm. It was easy to see why he received Entertainer Of The Year in Branson. The seats were very comfortable at the Clay Cooper Theatre, and we came back to see another show at the same place. You can save your ticket stubs and get a whopping $7 off per ticket if you buy your ticket before the end of the year. So, we bought tickets for The Haygoods later in the week. Most theatres have that option, so plan wisely. read more

Lines to get in are ridiculous. What's the point of buying tickets in advance if you have to wait in line for 45 minutes?? This is stupid. Not going to enjoy this show in this kind of a mood. read more

Great family variety show. The singing, dancing, comedy was all first class! Mr. Coopers wife and kids are part of the act and are all talented. The comedian (Mr. Gumm I believe) is hysterical. You get the sense Clay Cooper is a genuinely nice guy, devoted husband and father, good Christian, and a pillar of the Branson community. My group was very impressed! read more

The theater is clean but the staff pays NO ATTENTION to the tickets. They pay enough attention to make you switch lines after waiting for awhile because it is easier to get to your seats from the other line. They do not pay enough attention to the day and time of the tickets though. When they showed us to our seats they left before realizing there was someone already in the seats. The people in the seats had tickets for Fri night even though we were there on Wed and the staff DID NOT catch this mistake. read more

Wish I was able to say the show was great, but after a horrible experience with the box office and a rude employee, we chose to leave before the show. We had won tickets in an auction, and though ample proof of the certificate was provided, we were denied our pre purchased tickets and offered full price tickets in the hopes that somebody "might" reimburse us. (I even offered to buy another set of tickets at my local discount, but was denied.) Instead of offering any help in the matter after we showed all confirmation letters and emails we received, we finally decided to leave. The lady at the box office was rude and unwilling to help, and unfortunately left a bad taste in our mouth towards the show. My mother had purchased the tickets for us and we were attending to celebrate the last night of her stay in Branson. As a local, this experience will stick in my mind when recommending shows to the many out of town visitors I encounter. read more

Mixed reviews from our group The 75-80 year olds loved it. The 55-60 year olds enjoyed parts of the show. The youngsters in the rows ahead of us seemed to enjoy it. Lots of dance (including "interpretive"). Staging, costumes, transitions, etc were great. Our biggest complaint is the bright lights which shone into our eyes. read more

We saw the Haygoods and they are terrific - 5 brothers and their sister. The music is a mixture of country, rock and gospel with dancing and a fantastic light show included. This is an extremely popular show and tickets sell out quickly. Also, if you get tickets through a resort or broker, make sure you get to the theater at least 40 minutes ahead to time to allow time to exchange your voucher for actual tickets. read more

Well I'm not overtly religious, and this show was just a little bit over the top for me. I paid to be entertained, not Proselytized into the Baptist church. In addition it seems to be more of a children's variety show than an adult show. I'm all for showing off my kids; however, there is a time and a place for that, not when adults are paying close to $40 a seat and expecting their money's worth. Clay Cooper has a decent voice but can't quite pull off some of the impersonations he portrays. Especially Garth Brooks, he just doesn't have the deep growl that Garth has. He tried, got to give it to him for a try anyway. He really should consider dropping it from his repertoire. This was one of the few shows open on Sunday night, so I suppose I should make allowances for that. Would I go back? Probably not. I would have paid twice the amount to see the Presley's or the Baldknobbers because I've seen them before and know that they put in a good show and wouldn't be disappointed, but they aren't open on Sunday. I thought about leaving during the intermission, but I reminded myself that I paid for a whole show and had no where else to go, so I stuck it out to the end and I was hoping the second half would be better. We see this show every time we come to Branson and will continue to do so. It is very entertaining and filled with so many talented performers. The music is fantastic and the comedy is absolutely hilarious. Clay is a very down-to-earth guy who always takes time to visit with his fans after the show. Save your money and go to the Haygoods or Six instead- the talent is much better elsewhere. The box office lines are long and the people selling the tickets are very annoyed with their job. So many other places to go in Branson that will entertain you and make you feel appreciated! read more
