This place gets a zero star for me. Didn't even know about these people until I drove up to them at a stoplight. A man was fiercely looking at me in the eye for no reason in which I roll down my window and asked how was your day going? He began to sling expletives my way for no apparent reason. He was flailing his arms as if he was on some sort of substance and jerking his wheel erratically. This happened in Tigard on 99 W. After a period (of telling me to pull my car over) I let him get in front of me to which I took a picture of his license plate. He stopped his car to get out to try to fight. In the middle of traffic! In his work vehicle! I tried to call his office number to make a complaint and he picked up the phone calling me a white boy and telling me to go back to Montana seeing as how I had a 406 area code. This is not the type of attitude you would want in your home or work environment. I simply asked how the man's day was doing after I could see he was staring at me for long periods of time in an angry manner. I don't know what could make this man want to hurt or even hate a complete stranger. I don't believe it is right to hate somebody based on their skin color. Based on the dialogue coming from this young man's mouth lets me know that I was a victim of a hate crime today. read more

I am so pleased with the work Sean did on my Toyota pickup and Honda Accord. He came to my house with his mobile service (although he has a shop, too). He vaccumed, scrubbed, wiped, steam cleaned and scrubbed some more. There was some water intrusion in the cab of the truck, but he took care of all the mold and seriously left it looking new. Sean kicks butt. Very professional. A great rate for fantastic and thorough work. Ten stars! read more

Did a passable job with a reasonably priced detail with one rather important exception -- They scratched the navigation screen (or used a solvent that removed the anti-glare coating). I went back 3 days in a row during business hours to try and discuss it with someone. I guess they sometimes work offsite and are also kind of flexible as to if and when they show up on any given day. They aren't too great about picking up the phone or returning calls either. On the third day, I showed up. No one there again. I tried calling this time and, miracle of miracles, someone picked up. He said he was on a bank run and would be back in 15 minutes. 45 minutes later he rolled in. This was not the guy who did the work but his brother and one of the owners (at least presumably -- he wouldn't actually say). I showed him the damage. He proceeded to pull a dirty paper towel from his pocket smudge it around and make it worse. He said he would have to talk to his brother. Apparently his brother is out of town in this strange and foreign place called Seattle where I guess they have no cell phone connection and I'd need to wait until next week to discuss when he returns. What he didn't say was that he was sorry or indicate in any way that he would be willing or able to solve the problem. When I asked what he thoughts were regarding a potential solution, he had little to say other than that it was probably like that when I came it (it wasn't) and that this is normal wear for touch screen navigation systems. That's nice, but this isn't a touch screen navi. The reality is that this clown has no clue how to fix it or any interest in doing so.. Nor, at this point, am I even willing to let him try and risk further damage, as the replacement part is $2,200. read more

I'm giving Clean & Clear Auto a tentative 5 star rating, *** This morning I spilled an entire 16oz coffee onto the front 2 seats of my car. Fabric upholstery. I had to run into work and didn't have time to try to clean it myself. The first place I called after work was another local detailing shop and they said it might cost me $225 to get the coffee out. Uhhhh.... Then I called Clean and Clear Auto. Sean the owner is sort of a man of few words, but I'm sure he knows his car stuff. He even did a 1/2 car detail for me so I didn't have to pay for the whole thing. $45 only. The shop itself is a little bit on the non-professional looking side of things... but the people who know their stuff about cars are not usually the same people who care a lot about decorating and formality. I say a tentative 5 stars because there is always the chance that when my seats dry out the smell will still be there. But for now, Hurah! ***EDIT*** 2 days later the smell is not gone. The owner said I could bring it back in in such a case - which I may do soon. Stay tuned. read more

I had a wonderful experience with Clean and Clear. I called on a Wednesday to schedule a detail and Shawn was able to get me in the next day. Even better--my car was finished the same day I dropped it off. The price was fair, and my car came back looking great. He had buffed out some minor scratches that were driving me nuts and my car looks (and smells) almost new! The location looks a little sketchy, but don't let that deter you. This company showed up at my house to do a mobile detailing of my car which would've involved being inside my vehicle for a considerable amount of time. In spite of this, the technician refused to wear a mask while he was cleaning. He told me that he had a mask in his vehicle, but that it was "too hot" to wear it. He also stated he was asthmatic, however as a physician who has cared for hundreds of asthmatic patients over 30 years, I would in fact have advised him to wear a mask to avoid inhaling dust as he cleaned, so his argument didn't pass muster. When I told the technician I planned to file a complaint, his response was, "go ahead, I own the company!" A formal complaint is being filed with Multnomah County Covid enforcement authorities. read more

The owner takes so much pride in his work. Everything was up to his standard, except a mysterious white powder on the floor. My car had gone through eight years of Michigan winters highly seasoned with salt. He had never encountered such a thing. Nice guy. Great work. I highly recommend him. I went through a service called cardetailing.com which is just a middle man service to find a detailer in your area that can come to you. Clean and clear was the service that showed up. They were late but called ahead of time to let me know which was fine especially since I live in Newberg and the service schedule was for 5pm. I know how I5 is on a Friday at 5. There mobile detailing van is full service, I expected them to have to use my water and electricity but they didnt which is excelent for someone living in an apartment. The price they charged I feel was fair and when done my car looked excelent. They were polite and the 2 hours they were here they worked their asses off. If you are in need of a detailer to come to you I highly recommend these guys and I would assume that their in shop job is just as good if not better. read more

They was able to get out external scratches and paint we assumed would have to be taken to a body shop. The inside upholstery, floors and doors are now spotless. There is no sign of the cross country road dirt nor of our dirty and busy puppy in the car. They worked fast and got us in quickly. I recently bought a Subaru that was owned by a couple with two young children. The car is in great shape but clearly had been abused by the kids. Chocolate milk stains on the golden/tan interior. Just a mess. And it smelled, oh goodness, who knows what that smell was, but it was not good. Shawn's attention to detail is amazing. I am particular and I love things to be super clean. Shawn cleaned my new car inside and out better than I could ever do on my own. This guy rocks. That awful smell is gone and the car smells CLEAN. Not weird, headache inducing chemically clean.
