As we turned our focus from our home to our new, small NY apartment, we reached out to Robin for help once more. We sent her the apartment layout, pictures of a few art pieces we intended to take, and some ideas on furniture styles we like. She and her team did a wonderful job identifying pieces that not only fit the available spaces, took advantage of the surrounding views, and maintained a certain continuity and flow throughout the apartment but, more importantly, met our functional needs as well. The process of identifying pieces, confirming and adjusting them to our feedback, and eventually final selection, was handled seamlessly as we were at the same time working through the logistics of our move, including working with us remotely most of that time. She completed the design, did the ordering, and most importantly arranged delivery and set up in our new apartment ... from 1,700 miles away! Delivery and set up all occurred in one day so had a negligible impact on our work. It was all turn-key -- from laying down rugs, hanging pictures, uncrating and assembling furniture, all the way to cleaning up and hauling away the packaging materials. OH!, and did I mention the pillows? Turns out, you can never have enough pillows. Ask her, she'll tell you. We now have pillows on our couch and bed that, well, just make it feel like home.

The technician who came out placed sugar bait inside to eliminate the colony. He told me that an exterior treatment was not necessary at that time. I accepted that recommendation, due to potential exposure for my active dog. Months later, I called to follow up because the ant problem had not been resolved. I was then told the $216.50 treatment of simply adding sugar bait for the interior also included exterior treatment during the original visit. That was surprising because I was never told an exterior treatment had been done. When I asked where it had been applied, they did not give me a clear answer regarding the exterior. I have also come to find out that we had acrobat ants (not carpenter ants) as I expected when talking to a few other pest control companies. Paying for another treatment isn't the issue. If the ants require another visit, I'm happy to pay for it. My concern is that the explanation of what was actually done has changed. Now, they're saying I have to pay another $216 for their services again. Something just isn't adding up. If there's a reasonable explanation, I'd like to hear it. Based on the conflicting information, I have little confidence in their service.

He also shared very useful, straightforward observations and recommendations for the system's long-term health. It is rare to find a family-owned business with this much integrity. This company installed my Rachio sprinkler system back in 2023 which cost me over $1000 and have since come out twice to do repairs on my sprinkler heads due to an armadillo being in the yard. But when they last came out to fix a sprinkler head that was popped up they didn't run a full diagnostic on my entire system and wanted to charge me another labor fee of $175 / hour. I got a "discount" at $125 / hour because the technician was there for 14 minutes (by my ring doorbell calculations) but the "owner" went back and forth with me on the minutes of which he said the service took place. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND this company to anyone and I am telling all the people who referred me to switch companies. Bad business.
