I'm no longer victim to laundromat usage thanks to my recent relocation, however, I would like to endorse Clean X-Press Daly City as my go-to spot pre-move. I was a frequent customer for eight months and would spend hours at a time here just waiting for my laundry to be completed. Thankfully, everything Clean X-Press has going for it made this process as painless as possible: 1. Clean Machines and Facility - Machines were always in top shape, clean, and available. The best time to go is early morning, especially on a weekend, to avoid the lunch time rush. That extra hour really does make a difference. The storefront as a whole was also maintained well. 2. Affordable Rates - I'm not mad at a $1.75 wash or a $0.25/6 min. drying session. Obviously, if you use the bigger volume machines, they cost more. I think the most was $10 for the super size. They also have bill changers on site - yay! 3. Attentive employees - The workers there are always friendly and appreciative of your patronage. They respond to issues quickly and promptly. 4. Convenience - Clean X-Press is located right off Gellert and is easily accessible. Parking is never an issue. Thanks to Clean X-Press for making my laundromat experiences tolerable! I have been going to this laundromat for many many years now. I totally love this laundromat compared to others. First, they have a wonderful attendant named Ludie. She is super friendly, always helpful, and always goes the extra mile to help the customer. Second, she does and amazing job with my wash and fold. Her turn around time for that is great. The price went up a little on that last year...I almost decided to start doing my own laundry but the reason I didn't was because of Ludie. Third, they renovated and brought in all new machines...which is nice compared to the old laundromat that I went to. These machines really do get the job done and they come in so many different sizes and price ranges. Fourth, I read a comment someone posted regarding the bathroom being out of paper towels etc. that's because some idiot keeps flushing paper towels in the toilet which keeps clogging their toilet and leading to it overflowing and causing water damage. I don't blame them. Lastly, they keep this laundromat clean unlike others in the area. Help your locally owned and operated business. I LOVE this laundromat. As a woman doing laundry alone I am grateful this place is is well lit and always has plenty of other costumers. Their are always available machines when I go and they are clean. This place is kept clean always. I also love that the location is close to so many other good businesses, so I can get food and snacks while I wait for my loads to finish. Ludie the attendant is very friendly. read more

I would give this place a zero, but there isn't the option. My husband and I went here only once and it was the last. The time our clothes were ready to be picked up from the dryer, our clothes were already taken out by someone and put into a basket. SEVERAL of our shirts were gone and stolen. How ghetto is that? People were hand picking through our stuff within seconds. And the lady working behind the dry cleaning window didn't do anything. What are the cameras for? I think to prevent stealing should be one of the answers. There isn't enough room to wait in the laundromat for the clothes either so outside in the car was the only place to stay. There are only a few seats by the window. If you go here, just be prepared to leave with less of your clothes with the compliments of thieves. Love this laundromat cuz they have huge washers that I can get all my laundry done in 1 or 2 loads.. They have 20, 35, and 50 lb loaders I believe. Love that there's a good amount so I never really have to wait. Only gripe is that for a laundromat that can take on so many customers at once, there's only 3 seats, lol. -_- Other than that, workers are super nice too. They keep the TV on the Filipino channel, which I don't mind, but I watched a Spanish-speaking family give each other "wtf" looks, but what can they expect from a mom-&-pop shop based in Daly City?! read more

This was my first time coming here. I liked the fact that they had several W/D's of different sizes. I came here because I needed to wash my 2 blankets & a King size comforter. I also liked the fact that I could wash and dry all 3 items together saving me some time. I would have given this place a 5 star, but the bathroom was gross. It was OUT OF TOILET SEAT COVERS, HAND TOWELS, ALMOST OUT OF TOILET PAPER, AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST ALMOST OUT OF HAND SOAP. Otherwise I thought it was good. read more

The place and more importantly, the machines are fairly clean. Not much can be said about the grouchy female attendant who gave us an attitude when we told her that one of the dryers did not have any heat (we were refunded), thus we ended up spending an additional 30+ minutes drying our clothes all over again! Make sure to inform her about faulty machines and be sure to get a refund, otherwise, she won't give a crap about even putting an "out of order" sign on them! read more

Terrible place to wash/dry/dry clean your clothes. Outdated machines at astronomical rates. Ghetto regulars that frequent the place. Floor is slippery and the bathroom never has paper towels. Service with a smile? Whats that? This place needs alot of work, like a complete makeover from head to toe. read more

I've been there 3x now and the first two times a younger guy who said his wife was a nurse was very nice. I'm a travel nurse myself and he said that he offers free soap which was so nice and convenient. I'm staying in a hotel and there are some laundry places closer but I always want to go here which is 12 miles away. Unfortunately I went there today and there was an older lady and I asked her nicely if I could get soap and she said we don't offer free soap, you have to buy it, which I don't mind but their soap dispenser was not operational. She finally gave me soap and rolled her eyes at me which was embarrassing making me feel as though I can't afford soap. I will try one more time next week but if she continues to be like this I will just stay by my hotel. Hopefully this incident is a one time thing for I feel she's probably nice most of the times. Ok I understand that people have good and bad times but I've been working 5 day 12hr shifts in the ER and I just need to clean my scrubs and not feel like I'm some low life trying to get something free. read more

I used to come here all the time, I liked this place, it's clean and near everything.....BUT what i dont like is how expensive the dryers are, used to be $.25 for 6 minutes for the big dryers, now they changed it to $.25 for 4 minutes?! and even if i put 10 quarters, my clothes are not guaranteed to be dried so, moved to westlake $.25 for 10 minutes! 20 minutes - 2 $.25 my clothes are dry! read more

This was my very first time coming here. I really like that the attendants are super duper nice and friendly I also like how clean this place is and how bright it is inside. But TWO things I don't like is that I find it a bit expensive compared to my usual laundry mat and the dryers aren't that hot at all. They really need to crank the heat up a notch. After searching far and wide for a dry cleaner who can provide reasonably priced dry cleaning, we started going to Clean X-Press. It takes 5 days in order to get a shirt laundered and pressed which was tough. Last week I dropped off two stacks of shirts (5 women's cotton non-fitted and 5 mens cotton non-fitted) I was told $2 each for all 10 and given a receipt with the total. But when we came back to pick them up we were charged $4.50 for each women's shirt. These were not fitted shirts, but just plain cotton shirts. After complaining, the woman told us they would take it out of her check if we did not pay the difference, but argueing the case that they are the same did not help. We will never return to this dry cleaner again. The quoted price does not mean a thing here, so take your business somewhere else. read more

DO NOT GO HERE FOR DRY CLEANING! I never take the time to leave reviews, but this place was so horrible that I had to. I wanted to get one small, womens coat dry cleaned and the woman told me that the machines broken and it would take two days longer. I said no problem! SHE LIED! I came in the day it was "supposed to be ready"...not ready. She called me the next day...not ready. And the next day, and the next day. A week later she wouldn't answer my calls so I drove over there again, AND IT WASN'T READY! I still do not have my peacoat back. The place is tiny, with narrow areas for maneuvering your cart of clothes around other people's carts of clothes. There are signs posted asking people not to sit on counters. The one chair was occupied by an elderly lady who appeared to work there. I brought my book to study, but I had to stand in the narrow place in front of my washers the whole time. Some man backed into me while I was trying to study standing up because, well, there's no space. More importantly, though, I don't believe their machines work right. When my 4 machines said "Rinse cycle" the water remained sudsy. All my clothes went from sudsy to "spin" then "off." I put them in the dryer anyway. I put the dryer on the hottest setting but it didn't heat up as much as one would expect it to on the hottest setting. It took about 15 minutes longer for the clothes to dry than it usually does. About price, it was $4.75 to wash a load. Sorry, can't remember how much time a quarter buys on the dryers. The laundromat I went to last week is $4.25 per wash load. read more
