Mao is the guy to call if you are looking for auto glass repair or replacement. Hands down the best price and high quality work. I got three quotes before his and he was easily the lowest cost. Took him a little under 30 minute to replace the windshield on my Mazda 3. This included prep, removal, install, and cleanup. It took another 10-15 min to repair/fill a chip in my Odyssey. All this was done onsite at my house. From our conversation he covers Antioch down to Fremont. This is another reason he is highly recommended, he is very friendly and willing to offer advice, even if it means recommending something that will not result in filling his pockets. (i.e. He recommended that I just go to the junk yard for my 1987 toyota tercel passenger window and even gave tips on how to install it) In summary this is the person to call if you need auto glass repair/replacement. Clear Vision was subcontracted by Dana Meyer Auto Care to replace the wrong windshield that was installed by Moises (no last name) proprietor of King of Auto Glass, a "business" that does not exist at 4300 Sonoma Way, in Park Place Center, Vallejo. Beware, and please read my review on here. However, Clear Vision Auto Glass and Dana Meyer Auto Care, 5 stars. Nextdoor had only good reviews of their work, as did Yelp. I own a 2016 Lexus CT200h with an F sport package. I have owned several Toyotas in the past, a 2005 Sienna van presently. With luxury comes sophistication & absolute specifications due to electronic wiring in the windshield of a CT200h that depending on the year, have 4-5 different options in the windshield alone. Who knew? Not me, not Moises, but expert professionals do. The wrong one was installed, which resulted in the climate control system not properly functioning, as in no heat or AC.. In my first email to DM AC I stated that the windshield was replaced, when I drove it a couple of days later, I discovered the issue. The King was absolutely certain that the windshield replacement had nothing to do with this. I supplied DM AC with photos, they consulted with Mao, their glass consultant and specialist. Not only was it the incorrect windshield, but of the wiring underneath which was cut, so the sensors that enabled functionality were no longer connected. They positively confirmed, that the wrong windshield had been installed and explained clearly why this was the case and what would be required to repair the repair. Less than four hours after being dropped off my car had the right windshield & climate control system operating as it should. What I want to emphasize is the EXCELLENT customer service provided to me before I was a customer. This business team walks their talk, takes pride in the work they do to serve car owners in the community, and follows up to make sure everything is as it should be. Thumbs way UP! read more

Great service! My window got smashed in over the weekend in Southside Berkeley and I needed a repair ASAP. Auto Glass Express was the best option available on Yelp, but I called them and they wouldn't be available until Monday afternoon. (no offense to Auto Glass Express intended, I'm sure they would've done the job equally well) Clear Vision was also highly rated, so I decided to give them a call. They came over in about an hour and a half, replaced the window, vacuumed the carpet, the whole shebang. The guy who came over, Mao, was really friendly, very polite. He's been in the business for a long time and definitely knows what he's doing. The whole operation took about an hour. I'd definitely recommend them. One caveat is that some of them are cash only (?), so you may want to withdraw some money before they arrive. read more

Scheduled 2 appointments and both times Mao's employee calls to say he was going to be late. The first time he calls its minutes after the scheduled time. The second time he calls its a half hour before the scheduled time, but his new ETA would have been an hour to an hour and a half after the scheduled time. How do you trust the work if they can't even be on time? If it isn't Mao himself coming out or your not bringing it in to them - GOOD LUCK - you're just wasting your time. read more

Mao replaced my windshield for $150 less than my insurance company's preferred provider, SafeLite, and he was able to come same day-- made the appointment at 8am and he was there at 1pm. SafeLite didn't have any openings until Thursday. Very professional and fast. Quoted me a price about 10% lower than Auto Glass Express for replacing the windshield. Mao came within the two-hour window we agreed to (a couple of days after I phoned) along with an apprentice. Clearly competent and thorough. Very careful with the car, to the point of moving the oilchange sticker in the corner of the old windshield to the same spot on the new one. I had a really great experience with Mao and Clear Vision Auto Glass. I don't normally write Yelp reviews but I felt compelled to make sure Mao and his company get the recognition they deserve. We needed a car window replaced early afternoon on a Saturday (1PM-ish). I called a bunch of places but they all weren't available until Monday. When I called Clear Vision, they said they would be able to do it at that moment, though I had to bring the car to the warehouse in West Oakland. That was a little inconvenient for us, but we decided to go there anyway since they were the only ones who were available out of everyone I called. Once we got to the warehouse, we found that the glass they had in stock was not the one we wanted (they had the clear kind, but we needed a tinted one). I was not happy at this point, but they offered a solution which was to put the clear-type glass on that day, and they said they would come to my house on Monday to put the correct glass on. I was hesitant at first since I was unsure whether they would deliver on their promise. I took a chance and went for it nonetheless, and was really pleased when we got a call from Mao on Monday morning. They came on time (they were even 15 minutes early, I think) and replaced the glass with the correct kind within a few minutes. They seem to do everything they can to help out their customers, and at the end of the day, I was really pleased with their service. I would highly recommend them! read more
